  1. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 12:44 AM) I think we have to keep Everett. I just don't trust Frank will stay healthy the rest of the way. I hope i'm wrong. We need to keep both of them for the very reason you have listed, not to mention Jermaine Dye. Dye and Everett are injury prone and Frank may not be all the way back. This depth is a great problem to have.
  2. QUOTE(ARow33 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 01:45 AM) I know there are tons of threads out there but i want realistic trades. FOr me i want JOE RANDA AND Eddie Guardado. Joe randa- Creddie and sweeny Guardado- evertte or thomas and prospects :headshake I hope that you are joking.
  3. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 09:43 PM) Wow that is almost the DJ jinx. Pray we come through here. I know, I just messed it all up.
  4. Does 1 more run give us 5 for our first 5 run inning?
  5. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 09:17 PM) wha, hes hitting good this year, hes a good backup for pierzynski he's not that good.
  6. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 09:17 PM) wha, hes hitting good this year, hes a good backup for pierzynski he's not that good.
  7. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 11:38 PM) Rowand has been killing the ball while batting third this season. He now has a .284 AVG with a .343 OBP. Do you keep him batting third and bat Frank cleanup a la the Maggs/Frank duo of last season? LF Podsednik 2B Iguchi CF Rowand DH Thomas 1B Konerko RF Dye C Pierzynski SS Uribe 3B Crede Or do you bat Frank third and move Rowand elsewhere in the lineup? Your thoughts? That's the line-up I would go with.
  8. But, don't anyone dare question Ozzie, he'll do what he wants because he is the manager and this is his team. What a joke, Ozzie needs to quit this s***. Use the guys that get it done. Funny, isn't it, Donnelly is in for Anaheim again, 3 days in a row. With an off day tomorrow, you use everyone possible that will help you win. Ozzie really needs to be better than this series.
  9. I like the mayor. Hell, there have been numerous Big Cats, why can't there be numerous mayors too. If that's what his name means, I like it.
  10. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 29, 2005 -> 11:56 PM) The offense has been terrible this past week absolutely no arguing that. However before this stretch they weren't doing that bad at all and I don't give a s*** what the individual batting averages say. They were doing everything they were suppost to do, smart ball if you will since I know most of you hate hearing that. Anyways, we were getting every single big hit, scoring 4 to 5 runs a game which was enough to win with our pitching, score runs in the 7th and 8th, take the lead and shut it down with the backend of our pen, just like the twins have done for 3 straight years. We wanted to be more like the twins and before this week that's exactly how it's been. By the way the twins have gone into hitting slumps too but they don't last extremely long because of the ability to manufacture runs. I think some of you guys have missed the 12 run games but guess what that's not going to happen more so get over it. Excellent Post. I think what people tend to forget is that we split in Anaheim where that team's pitching is every bit as good, if not better than The Sox pitching. There were 18 total runs scored in that entire series. Not to mention, that they had to play Texas who is playing out of their minds right now. It would be hard for any pitching staff to shut them down right now. The Sox are fine and will rebound from this.
  11. Joe Crede hit a sac fly today that scored a run and moved Rowand to 3rd.
  12. This game is a blow-out. How many blow-outs has this team been on the losing end of this year? 1, maybe 2? Let's all relax, there is 112 games to go.
  13. QUOTE(JimH @ May 29, 2005 -> 02:29 PM) So if they lose this game it's a 4-5 road trip, they lost 1 1/2 games to the Twins in the standings over that time period, and have their next 18 of 24 games at home. Jim, I hope that is an optimistic statement from you.
  14. It is not logical thinking to believe that The Sox will take every series. 2 out of 3 from The Cubs, a split in Anaheim and losing 2 to Texas is not a bad road trip. Who knows what would have happened yesterday. As bad as the team is right now, some of the logic of this board is worse. Come on home boys, regroup and start it again
  15. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ May 29, 2005 -> 02:23 PM) I would take Lew Ford over Everett and possibly Frank, Morneau over PK, Stewart over Pods, Jones over Dye, Cuddyer over Crede, their plantoon over Uribe, Mauer over A.J. Santana over Buerhle, Radke over Garland, Silva over Garcia, Mays over El-Duque and only Contreras over Lohse. Not to mention their entire bullpen over ours with the lone exception of Hermy. Then go be a f***ing Twins fan.
  16. QUOTE(Spod=Ratings @ May 29, 2005 -> 02:19 PM) reading some of these posts makes me sick saying the game is over, and this team sucks. I know it may look bleak but its not over till its over some of you call yourselfs fans well try acting like it and have faith. And for the people saying we suck we are palying the hottest team in baseball right now! just have some patience Alright, I have faith that we have lost this game. But, I also have faith that this will not last and The Sox will get hot again. The season isn't over, it's May.
  17. You know, I'm frustrated as hell too. But, it's May and we will 33-17, still in 1st place. Texas is playing out of their minds right now. Even losing 2 to Texas, this will not be a bad road trip, especially with the west coast trip.
  18. On my birthday, 8/8, I will be in attendance at Yankee Staduim to watch our beloved Sox play, obviously, The Yankees. Anyone been to New York than give this first timer some tips?
  19. Yes, BlackJack was very good. Every time Donn Pall spoke I wanted to stick a fork in my eye. That isn't in green for a reason. I especially liked when McDowell got on Jose for throwing that pitch to McPherson. Nice job BlackJack!!!!
  20. if my math is correct there were 18 total runs scored by both teams this entire 4 game series. Neither team hit for s***. it was a well pitched series and to leave Anaheim with a split is just fine. On to texas, where 1 win assures them a .500 record on a difficult road trip.
  21. QUOTE(mrzo2733 @ May 27, 2005 -> 12:52 AM) I agree. Me too
