White Sox looking to deal Thomas or Everett
The Angels need a DH. This is probably wishful thinking, but maybe Everett and a prospect for Casey Kotchman? Then it could be see ya later Paulie.

Notes: Harris' days numbered?
No. We were just laughing at the suggestion that the Sox or any other team try to trade for Griffey. We said that Preston Wilson would be a much better target for other teams that need an outfielder. Neither of us suggested that the Sox should trade for Wilson. We already have Dye and Everett will mostly be on the bench with Frank back. We are probably the last team that needs another outfielder.

Notes: Harris' days numbered?
Yep, Preston Wilson would make a lot more sense for a contender to add. He can do everything that Griffey can do (at this stage in Griffey's career). Wilson is earning $12 million this season but it is the last year of his contract. He won't be owed a gazillion dollars for years to come like Griffey.
-
Notes: Harris' days numbered?
I honestly can't believe anyone would even suggest him. Griffey can't stay healthy to save his life, he still has $66 million left on his contract, and he has been on the decline for the past 4 years. The Reds would love to dump him on some stupid team.
-
Notes: Harris' days numbered?
But he's worth it! Ken Griffey's contract details: 2005: $12.5 million 2006: $12.5 million 2007: $12.5 million 2008: $12.5 million 2009: $12.5 million team option; $4 million buyout * $5.5 million salary deferred until 2009 * $6.5 million salary deferred until 2009 to 2024 4-years, $66 million dollars for Griffey? Ummm, great idea!

Ken Griffey? He's WAAAYYY overpaid and his career is winding down. Look at Griffey's unimpressive stats. In other words, he isn't worth it. I'd rather dump Konerko, keep Frank, and go after a good 3rd baseman. I do like the idea of making Dye learn 1st base in the offseason and starting Brian Anderson in right field. We would save money that could then be spent on a good 3rd baseman.

The Indians have been absolutely horrible against lefties this season while the Sox have been the best hitting team in the MLB against them. The Indians likely suck against lefties because they have so many lefty bats on their roster. Check out these SICK stats... MLB Team Stats (vs. Left): White Sox .303 AVG .368 OBP .485 SLG .854 OPS 78 runs in 35 games Indians .207 AVG .278 OBP .357 SLG .634 OPS 46 runs in 39 games The stats point to a sweep.

Baj ERA Watch
While facing AAA hitters but he's still probably worth a roster spot over Dingo.

Notes: Harris' days numbered?
Dammit. Why would the Reds want to trade Freel? Why would they trade the guy that is dirt cheap and produces well for them? They wouldn't; they would want to trade Randa who is on a 1-year deal.
-
Notes: Harris' days numbered?
Common sense would say that the Reds would trade the guy that's on a 1-year contract and performing well. Freel is under their control for 2 more years and he will be making nothing. They would trade Randa before Freel.

Tribune article about Frank's attitude
What a garbage article. There was more speculation by Rick Morrissey than what Frank's actual quotes truly suggested. Morrissey must be a Moronatti wannabe. :headshake

Notes: Harris' days numbered?
Once again, I'd rather have Freel as well but why would the Reds trade him? He's cheap and good. They would want to dump the older Randa and keep Freel. And Timo has no trade value whatsoever. At least keep the trade scenarios reasonable man. Willie is the one guy we have that is a tradeable commodity other than our prospects. Do you really think there are teams out there that want our scrubs (Timo, Shingo, Vizcaino)?
