  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 11:50 AM) i am already sick of the orthotics discussion with Lawrie. Dude has been injury prone for his entire career Yeah. I questioned the merits of move assuming pure production lines of thought, but if he is gonna be a cancer in locker room, no reason to keep him.
  2. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 11:33 AM) I have a feeling Goldman will reach Geno Atkins level in the upcoming years. Dude is a monster. It's so awesome because pass-rushing was seen to be his limitation. We saw this last draft how top of the line run stuffers fell because they can't stay on field. Same happened with Goldman, but he turned out to be a great pass rusher from interior. And that will work well because it looks like Young/Floyd will do well to get back high in the pocket and force those QBs to come up. If Goldman gets that push we are gonna see a really nice pass rush.
  3. Howard/Whitehair/Floyd really encouraging. Not as happy with our 4th rounders but think Hall will be best shot at a starter. Didn't really catch bullard yesterday, but seemed like dline played well. Goldman obviously stuck out (agian) as a passrusher, which is freaking awesome.
  4. Thanks for passing along soxpride.
  5. Never underestimate a group like the AARP's power to sell out slightly younger seniors to preserve power of current seniors.
  6. Starting to wonder if we are going to rebuild or just cut costs.
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 13, 2016 -> 05:59 PM) Winston was slippery today, Floyd wasn't the only one that lost a few He definitely goes too high on tackles of QB. Not just an issue for missing but for penalties hitting the helmet.
  8. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 08:30 AM) took a few days off of politics, come back to find 1) a white nationalist is one of the first appointments to a very powerful position in Trump's administration and 2) Ryan and co. are already gunning for Medicare. We are in for an incredibly awful 4+ years. Was together with my brothers last night. We realized that my mom may lose her medical benefits from her job, which had only been added because of ACA, and then we had to figure out how we'd help cover her additional costs if medicare is gutted. And we can take care of her, scared for others.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 08:36 AM) http://www.forbes.com/sites/susandudley/20...fp#5b9ea9ca309b Scary stuff about gutting environmental regulations and using the COngressional Review Act (CRA) to undo 150 rules put in place since mid May of 2016. Can it really be the first time since Herbert Hoover in 1928 there was a Republican president with control of both houses of Congress (and soon the Supreme Court)? That worked out well. People keep saying that, bush had all three houses for much of his presidency, including re-election in 04. They wasted all of the capital on SS privatization.
  10. Yeah, I think we'll make a thread change. I assumed this was confirmed overnight. Still seems crazy to do. If we rebuild we will need some major league players and lawrie is cheap and can play 2 positions.
  11. Really wonderful, from Leon Weiseltier https://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverythi...trumps-america/
  12. http://www.forbes.com/sites/modeledbehavio...y/#1377fccc215c More of similar line.
  13. Yeah. A good reminder that Cutler can blow you out of football games.
  14. Great Cutler game.
  15. Floyd really looks like he's gonna develop.
  16. I would be very concerned if I was a dodgers fan and Lawrie was their best option
  17. QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Nov 12, 2016 -> 06:17 PM) then what is it in your opinion? Honestly don't know. I could see arguments for both, just don't like move unless he was unlikely to recover.
  18. QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Nov 12, 2016 -> 06:11 PM) To me that's a move if you are tanking. You don't just release a guy who can be average at 3B or 2B and doesn't make that much money. Not even really a tanking move to me. He's young and cheap enough to be inconsequential and a lottery ticket to flip.
  19. Bizarre move. Not a fan.
  20. Toronto will be very interesting to watch. Wouldn't be surprised if this means they sign Bautista.
  21. He wrote one of the most inane books I've ever read but Jonah Goldberg continues to grow to be the best writer in national review http://www.nationalreview.com/g-file/44212...ll-be-hard-keep Gold all over.
  22. If the last 3 elections have shown anything it's that policy doesn't matter and personality is everything. Hell, the last 7 elections show that.
  23. Director of comms from Exxon mobile https://twitter.com/SuzanneMcCarron/status/...747352816156672 There's a chance the global push has made it more incentivized to appear conscious regardless
  24. Bloomberg wouldn't get through dem primary.
  25. QUOTE (sammy esposito @ Nov 11, 2016 -> 12:50 PM) replacing frazier with Davidson is risky. Davidson has yet to prove himself. Frazier is the real deal , how many 3rd basemen do we have to go through just to find one not Frazier's equal. We have frazier for another year. What do you expect to accomplish next year?
