  2. QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Aug 4, 2016 -> 12:35 PM) But he didn't adjust in the minors...at all. His horrible 4% walk rate went down when he got promoted to AAA and his K% went up. And now both are even worse in the majors. There's 0 progression being made. And it's not like we are talking about a guy not being able to hit a good slider...we are talking about a huge fundamental flaw and there seems to be no signs of improvement. If his walk rates were acceptable in the minors I wouldn't be making a peep out of this small sample size. But when there are obvious signs of failure in his future all the way back to A ball and nothing has changed since l it should be a huge red flag for everyone. Whether it's Anderson himself or the coaching, I have no clue, but it's a problem that doesn't seem to be limited to him either. The # of players in this organization capable of going up to the plate and having a respectable major league AB is pathetic. But hey, why point out flaws for this great franchise since all they do is make smart decisions and win...oh wait. He was moved aggressively in the minors so what he is referring to is month by month improvements before starting over at each level. He should not have been moved up to the majors, but just as Xander Bogaerts struggled in his first 1.5 years, so may Anderson.
  3. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Aug 4, 2016 -> 12:38 PM) I watched Johnson and Wield have a town hall on CNN last night. Wield is a much better speaker and you can definitely tell Johnson was a little nervous but they had some pretty interesting things to say. Hopefully they can get into the debates, I think they can get some traction as more and more Trump supporters jump ship. I actually think they will get traction this election. There was a lot of talk about the increasing role of libertarianism in the Republican party, and obviously Ron Paul and Rand Paul went to Republican party in their elections, but unlike some of the left ideas making it into the Dem platform, they didn't seem to win out on any platform concessions aside from the crankiest ones : Audit Fed, Gold Standard (2012 platform included commission on reinstituting gold standard) But now there seems to be a legit schism for a libertarian party since none of the civil liberty/social/drug issues are being put in prominently by Repub platform. That said, they have to start actually winning more state level seats in friendly states.
  4. So you can chalk this season to be about 8-9 games with Jeffery hobbled with a hammy all year.
  5. I should talk trash about players I want to succeed more often.
  6. So pumped by that honestly.
  7. QUOTE (Ezio Auditore @ Aug 4, 2016 -> 10:55 AM) I want someone to ask him a nonsensical question like "Do you believe the sectarian conflict between the ethnic Harambe and Dothraki has led to them all being unfairly maligned as Salafists?" Self-plagiarism!
  8. Good to hear on Grasu, I heard he was bigger but that's it. Today had Jeffrey, Royal and Miller out though, which gave me bad flashbacks to last year. Definitely need to have a solid WR core. Our TE's are going to be a mess.
  9. It's interesting. This will certainly regress, but usually after a convention where all time is consumed by one party, the next week the other candidate is like "OKAY BUT ME AGAIN" and people are like "Oh right, him/her, I like him/her" But with Trump it was like "Oh right, him..."
  10. Yeah, at this point the main point would be bigger bonus pool, OTOH the sox have not shown a desire to get a lower pool pick at their first to use later, so I'm not sure it even matters with this team anymore.

I was so bummed by Peaky Blinders season 3 I didn't even finish. Season 1&2 were great.
  12. I'm pretty sure it was Thailand. Taiwan is very modern and vietnam's tourism is more controlled.

The Great British Baking Show has a couple of runs on Netflix.
  14. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Aug 4, 2016 -> 09:29 AM) Sanders is the only that doesn't have his pants on fire... hmmmm But he was "false" more often. Either way, it shows party values.
  15. Also wasn't this reported in January? Or am I nuts?
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 4, 2016 -> 01:48 AM) When are we going to hold our government officials accountable? They all are out of control. And our candidates? One is a pathological liar and the other is certifiably mad. And both are over 70. Where's the young blood, the new ideas? I want Jesse Ventura as a write in. I'll probably actually write him in. Why do you think this is remotely corrupt. These are the types of powers we've fallen back on giving to the exec branch/CIA (more often). We did in fact illegally enter their water space. It was resolved quickly and without escalation by a money transfer. That's...that's pretty much the best case scenario with an unfriendly regime.
  17. Question: do we think Gary Johnson actually believes in switching to the gold standard or that is just the niche the libertarians have been able to corner so he has to deal with it?
  18. To be fair, had Trump privately been mad with the Khans and not went into a public fued, that would be the reaction of someone with a normal temperament. When Cindy Sheehan? kept trying to get a meeting with Bush and went crazier and crazier, he didn't go into a public feud with her.
  19. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/08/mela...n-donald-226648 "Lock her up! Lock her up! Lock her up!" Just kidding! I worked on a tourist visa in Brazil under the table. Of course, when I did that, I didn't then marry someone who worked to punish all other illegal immigrants. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  20. I know you guys are hurting, and feel like lashing out. But deep down you are thankful that we will save you from an existential threat to democracy and global safety. You could choose America too. Oh and #bothsides https://datavizblog.files.wordpress.com/201...rison.jpg?w=906
