Eh, I wouldn't expect a comedy trailer to be funny so far out. I'm not sure they should be ever funny. Boiler template for comedy trailer STAR COMEDY NAME setup shot CO STAR physical comedy part bad one liner bad one liner title bad one liner
  2. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 3, 2016 -> 09:54 AM) http://www.stubhub.com/world-cup-of-hockey...ouping/1505616/ Cool, didn't realize they'd be on sale so soon. Not bad.
  3. Glad we have a lot of bullpen fill-ins.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 2, 2016 -> 05:04 PM) Also worth noting that Avi was 119th out of 141 qualified hitters in terms of "fraction of pitches thrown to him in the strike zone". He's down there with legit sluggers who the pitchers are scared of, and in fact saw even fewer strikes than Abreu - in other words, pitchers were also not throwing him strikes. He should have walked a lot when he's getting very few strikes, but he also had the highest %age of swings and misses per total pitches thrown in baseball among qualified hitters. Honestly would liked to have seen Avi leave the bat on his shoulder for a week and see what his OBP was.
  5. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 3, 2016 -> 09:36 AM) It's funny to me, that on this Clinton email thing, everyone seems to either be in the "it's nothing, ignore it" court, or the "illegal and she should go to jail" court. Both of these are missing the fact that, regardless of whether or not it was illegal, it certainly showed a stunning lack of good judgment. One does not need to be tech-savvy to realize that perhaps conducting government business at the cabinet level over private email is not a good idea for a myriad of reasons. To me it clearly displays poor decision-making, whether it was intentional or due to just plain stupidity. Oh, I do think it was lack of judgment. But it's hard to know when to pay attention to Clinton scandals after 25 years of things like cattle futures trading, whitewater, vince foster, etc that are constantly thrown around her neck. There's been no new information for over a year, and the email dumps haven't shown anything remotely controversial. But, it's also not like this was a secret. This is dumb to allow different people to handle their government work differently (even if there are guidelines to follow that were not), it needs to be some agencies job to make sure this is happening because for the last decade this continues to happen. OR If there is some legitimate need here, regulate it with guidelines and procedures to follow if you are using your own server. Do I think it's a lack of judgment, yes. A "stunning" lack of judgment, not really. This isn't a Petraues situation of openly passing code words etc to her friends.
  6. How realistic/expensive do you think getting tickets to a game at the world cup will be? I've never been to Toronto out of winter, and love flying porter airlines there. Could be a fun trip.
  7. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Mar 2, 2016 -> 08:52 PM) per tribune: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baske...0302-story.html I don't think they'll miss the playoffs unless Jimmy gets hurt again. This team will go as far as he can take them. Ah, but now we are remembering what the Bulls were for all the non-thibs years - treading .500 and making the 7th/8th seed.
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 3, 2016 -> 07:15 AM) http://finance.yahoo.com/news/clinton-stil...--election.html What will happen to Sanders' millenial supporters should he lose the nomination?...a big opening for Trump to exploit, more in the sense of dampening their desire to get out and vote for her rather than getting them to cross to another candidate. Remember all of the Clinton supporters that sat out 08 and caused Obama to lose the election?

Remember when we didnt really want to go into 2016 starting TT and now we are talking about trading for him again and would be super pumped.
  10. I still feel like with a smart GM/coach/offseason and the team is close to being fun again.

yes, Hahn is in the longest game of chess to woo the league when he acquires another teams 4th outfielder to replace his AAA fodder RF-er.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 2, 2016 -> 05:58 PM) Estimates last year generally came down suggesting the full Presidential campaign alone will run in the range of $4-$5 billion (half per candidate), with another $5 billion down the ballot, for a $10 billion election season. I don't think you're quite getting how much money is available for these guys. Not really, in the primary for a losing candidate, these guys are going to be relying on a much smaller pool of donors.
  13. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 2, 2016 -> 05:11 PM) Honestly, there is so much anger out there against Trump, as long as guys are winning delegates and potentially keeping Trump at bay, the money will keep coming. In my view anyway. I think probably more than if he were a different candidate, but about $120 million of republican donor money was lit on fire by the Jeb Bush campaign. A lot of those guys are probably tapped out.
  14. He'd probably say Mrs. Clinton.
  15. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 2, 2016 -> 04:08 PM) I don't quite know what Carson is doing, but he's essentially out of the race. He won't be attending the debate on Thursday and sees no path forward. Not sure what exactly that means and why he hasn't yet suspended his campaign, but that clearly is next. He needs to continue to con seniors out of their retirement money.
  16. Really informative article and quote from DiGenova, an attorney who has been gnashing his teeth at Benghazi for 4 years and contributes heavily to Republicans, and worked for Romney. No actual evidence was provided, just a nice hit piece right as she figures out her candidacy.
  17. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 2, 2016 -> 09:17 AM) World Cup Rosters are getting announced today. https://mobile.twitter.com/MarkLazerus/stat...026763563397120 Anisimov and Panarin were named to Team Russia. Teräväinen was named to Team Finland. Dang that's commitment to write out the special characters.
  18. NS I think the disconnect between your view nad others, is that as the road to actual victory becomes more and more remote for Rubio/Cruz, their donation base dries up. People won't keep shelling out money for a lost cause, as Hillary Clinton saw in 2008. It takes money to go all the way to the convention, and they won't have it. So, yes, I think Trump is a foregone conclusion, because the forces that remove others from the race will start to be felt.
  19. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Mar 2, 2016 -> 11:27 AM) Ya come to think of it Im struggling to think of many recent sports movies I liked that werent boxing (Creed/Southpaw/The fighter). I suppose Foxcatcher might qualify but as you mentioned I liked the 30 for 30 about Dupont better than Foxcatcher. I also kind of liked Million Dollar arm but I certainly wouldnt call that a popular movie. Rush was great if you haven't seen it.
  20. Does the MVP award come with an additional amount from the league?
  21. Jenks of "what is the coach supposed to do?" reminded me that there are very few actually good basketball coaches, and it's very frustrating we let one get away.
  22. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 2, 2016 -> 01:15 PM) Both good points. I tend to think Hickory's point is stronger, because fundamentally, Trump needs to do quite a bit better than he already is to make it work. But bmags' factor is true too. I'm sort of puzzled why most (but not all) the media I am seeing is making it seem so inevitable. It really isn't. Because while Trump has a difficult road to 51%, the others have a pretty much impossible road considering none of them have, say, the poll numbers hillary had on super tuesday, where after South Carolina you knew she'd have an easier road. None of them have a group of states they are ahead in aside from Trump.
  23. I'm pretty certain Q will just have to get a 15 win season for people to take notice. For all the talk about "wins" not being good to evaluate a pitcher, you can tell its dragging him down.
  24. Another part of this is inevitability. People tend to want to vote for the winner. I'm going to guess Trump's polls will get stronger as people will want to begin to feel invested in their campaign.
  25. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 2, 2016 -> 12:03 PM) Hoiberg created the issue to get walked on when he benched the teams leader and than was afraid to call out its best player to get in line and run the appropriate offensive system. Everyone is in it for themselves and the reality is, this started a year ago when Gar reportedly gave everyone the authority to start walking on Thibs (because he was a goner) and it got even worse when Hoiberg came in and failed to put things under control. At this point, a new GM absolutely has to be in here, but it is going to take new players for Hoiberg to have any chance at taking things back over (or he's going to have to do something). And I agree, you could never have expected this team to be continually healthy but this is beyond what any of us could have expected from a health perspective and the front office believed it had the depth to withstand it and it might have if they at least did something remotely interesting with the backup PG spot (instead of just bringing back Brooks). That's a good point, and one of the reason Thibs gets as far as he does with players. Thibs would have never sold out to tell the media that he discussed noah on bench. He wouldn't have put Noah in the position to undercut his value. Jimmy would have been on bench if he wasn't doing the system. It would have never came out why, either. He never sold out players publicly.
