Antonin Scalia passes away
Yeah David Frum just had an interesting take on that on Twitter. Unfortunately I'm on my phone.

White Sox interested in SS Ian Desmond
Considering Baltimore apparently has what it takes for Jay Bruce, why do I feel like that's who we are talking about?

Antonin Scalia passes away
I'm not sure it's out of bounds to politicize a position with a lifetime appointment. Their health and lives are political issues with huge ramifications. This is a mammoth development.

Watched Hail Caesar last night. Wasn't great but I was laughing through most of it and keep looking back at scenes and laughing. Was also beautiful, as expected.

Aww man, the Athletics Twitter handle totally said his name was bubby derby and I believed it and loved it.

I know, I made the point too that it's ridiculous to blame hoiberg for. but I can't sit back and have people defend Kahn's tenure as Timberwolves GM. It was a hilarious reign of bad.

2015-2016 NBA Thread
Seriously, you guys are insane. This isn't "white sox drafting poreda over Mike Trout" or whatever, it would be White Sox drafting 3 hs outfielders that couldn't hit instead of mike trout. Rubio could not shoot. Flynn could not shoot. I don't need to defend myself, you guys do. This is not a question that it was the worst draft ever. It'd be one of the worst drafts ever without steph curry being in it. I'll give them some slack for rubio's acl, but http://grantland.com/the-triangle/you-real...09-draft-right/ s*** was bad. They flipped lawson for nothing.

Kyyle, there are draft misses, and there are having 3 picks in a draft, and using them all on point guards, and missing one of the greatest point guards ever. There is no defending that draft. There is defending Bowie, defending Embiid, Defending Oden, all of them. No defending that terrible twolves draft.

The Story of Soxtalk?
I wish I remembered. They did a once a week podcast and were genuinely hilarious. When we acquired Manny it was pretty must-listen.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 12, 2016 -> 02:10 PM) He is not the GM, he is the head coach. And lets not pretend like everyone knew Curry was going to become possibly the best shooter in the history of the league when he was drafted. Regardless, they did draft 3 point guards who couldn't shoot (even if they traded one), when the greatest shooting pg of all time was in the draft.

The Story of Soxtalk?
Can anyone help me remember the sox podcast around 2009-10-11 that was two younger dudes, lots of swearing, and in 2010 they had an excellent run of podcasts trying to end our losing start with different hexes? Obscure, and I don't know what else to search.

I thought rosenthal's latest article was topical (mentioned sox light on Desmond) but looks like it was written yesterday.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 12, 2016 -> 01:19 PM) I will never understand why a team would say they wont even try. Maybe the market for Forte was weak and he would have come back for a good deal. Its almost always better to leave the door open to something. Because Urlacher.
