Kenny Williams discussed as CEO candidate in Toronto
bmags replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 7, 2014 -> 06:24 PM) His name was mentioned atleast a month ago. You didnt think he knew that they wanted him then? You have no idea the circumstances. This criticism is outrageous. He likes his job now, you think he'd throw it away for a promotion that's not a sure thing? He's a human. -
QUOTE (zenryan @ Dec 7, 2014 -> 07:27 PM) that's why its better to suck than be mediocre. sucking gives you a reason to tune in. There's also no intrigue. There's no fun watching Fuller get burned, Bostic run in circles...I don't remember a single good thing about our tackles since the Jets game.

QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 7, 2014 -> 07:04 PM) Should have resigned earlier in the offseason. Doing it now is just plain stupid. What? He didn't know this was available then. -

QUOTE (zenryan @ Dec 7, 2014 -> 05:56 PM) No issue with the top 4. Really wouldnt had an issue with any result of the top 4. I have an issue with how they feel the need to have a weekly ranking, especially if theyre going to have a clean start every week. This Long guy is an idiot. So OSU moves up based on performance, not because of something TCU did. Ok, that's fine but why moved TCU down to 6? What changed yesterday to drop TCU behind Baylor? We've known for weeks Baylor won the head to head yet they kept TCU ahead. Probably just moved Baylor ahead for consolation. Baylor beat a top ten ranked team yesterday. -
Yeah, Trestman has to go along with Emery. I've never checked out of a Bears season this early.

So glad mizzou left Big 12. -
QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 6, 2014 -> 10:09 PM) Some of the animations are awesome. I had it on my Nexus 5 and felt like it wasn't any faster than Kit Kat. But then I got the Nexus 6 and everything is smooth as hell. Was battery improved?

I feel dumb for not realizing this was actually a jump. Do Sox have a CEO? -
Bulls scouting must be really good. They keep leaving Draymond Green wide open. Because he's a power forward. So he can't shoot I guess.

Noah, learn who the f*** you are guarding. All I wanted was to watch a good game after the horseshoe day of college football and they come out flat as hell again.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Dec 6, 2014 -> 08:21 PM) Go Mizzou. Would love to see Alabama kept out of the Playoff. I can't handle Gary Danielson. He's such an a-hole. -
If he was an IP litigation lawyer would it matter for this anyway?

I reported on a home invasion/rape case when I first started. The father, who we started to realize had some imbalance, was pushing his daughter to talk to the media. We decided to not interview at the scene, I got a victims rights advocate and interviewed later. Ended up cutting it from the story and focusing on the other family members information and police info. But, basically, every step in that story was hard and a huge "newsroom" decision. The reporter is right in a lot of sense but wrong in the whole. I didn't read the article, but read hannah rosen's critiques which were spot on. But beyond that, I understand the journalist and her explanations. The editor is an absolute idiot for running this.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 5, 2014 -> 04:32 PM) I'd go 0, 2, 8. Ferguson he was completely justified. New York I don't think warrants a murder charge at all. I'm curious if an expert would say whether he would have died without the choke hold. Either way, the culpability is slightly more than Wilson. The Cleveland situation I think deserves charges. As SS points out, the officers put themselves in that situation for no good reason, and the video looks like he jumped out of the car and shot the kid right away. There was no time to order the kid to drop the weapon and wait for a response. You might as well claim that in any situation where the assailant has a gun, if the cop jumps out in front of him and fires he's justified because he could have been shot at any moment. edit: that's basically the "it's coming right for us!" south park shooting defense. I just want to point out, that every time you have seen an actual video of a controversial shooting that sounded like it had justification, you have been surprised at how quickly and thoughtlessly the situation was "resolved".

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 5, 2014 -> 04:52 AM) Yeah, Arkansas might be a touch overrated. Their press was absolutely shredded tonight. They started holding the ball partway through the first half. These games always happen with an Anderson team. Some games it will get annihalated, other games not really matter, and others...it'll get you a win you didn't deserve. But he always had trouble away from home. Homecourt + press is a dangerous tool, i'll give him that. -
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 5, 2014 -> 03:04 PM) I get the Bears defense being bad, there isn't much talent on that side of the ball. I just don't understand how that offense isn't good, not saying they should be great. I think Bear fans over hyped them last year, but they should be ranked higher than 19th in the league in points per game. Should be closer to top 10. I can't tell if the offensive line is just much worse or we aren't scheming for it as much as we did last year. OR, people know we are overcompensating for a bad oline by jumping every short route, and know we'll have to either throw it deep with happy feet in the backfield or LOL run the ball.

You gonna skip the Dennis Erickson part I guess. -
Sale has literally 0 to do with this except for the fact that he's so affordable we can pay a ton for someone else.

QUOTE (Sox Fan In Husker Land @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 09:04 PM) So hire Scott Frost as OC. Give $200 K to a "church" ran by a recruits dad. Win NC. Fire Riley. Then bring Frost back to go play in NC again. Sign me up. Yeah I'm sure Frost will make that lateral move. -

But even if he did well enough for OSU, it's not like it was the golden years of that program, or even considerably better than what it was before. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 06:07 PM) So all they need to do now is buy a Heisman level QB to come play for them and then get an offensive coordinator who is the real brains behind the operation and they can compete for a national title, suck when they offensive coordinator leaves, fire Riley, and then hire the offensive coordinator back to win again? Exactly. -
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 07:07 PM) Based on that, any cop that handcuffed him and forced him to lie on the ground should also be charged with his death. Okay.
