It's really frustrating watching the bears be the stupidest team on the field for two years now. The only other team that comes close is the cowboys, our 8-8 / 9-7 brethren. I'm not sure Trestman is capable of getting a team disciplined enough for the playoffs.
-
They didn't let Toub go.

I'm just getting Hunter Hillenmeyer flashbacks.
-
Starting to become depressed. What I'm gathering is that all of our young talent are only a good hitter if platooned for their respective handedness and are not capable of playing defense. Sounds like we are close.

I'm beginning to wonder if Ratliff will be out for the year.

How does he do this?

2014-2015 NCAA football thread

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 3, 2014 -> 03:13 PM) Oregon losing isn't going to affect MSU. MSU is already going to be behind two SEC teams and 1-loss champions of the PAC12, Big12 and ACC, so MSU needs at least two of those three conference champions to have two losses plus ND have at least one loss. I think Oklahoma may well end up undefeated. I hate Bob Stoops. I hope he loses twice and complains about how tough the big 12 competition is. -

I would be hardpressed to believe that losing an away game to Oregon, who will very likely still be a top ten team is going to hurt Michigan State very much. Especially considering Oregon does this every year. College football is so weird this year. Reminds me of 07. Not sure if chaos is better for the playoff or worse as the gap between 1-4 and 5-8 is going to be pretty small. -
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 2, 2014 -> 07:27 PM) I feel like recently the bears have started playing the Injury report game. Really brutal couple of years.

Can somebody tell me why a hitting coach for a major league baseball team should be entitled to their position free of criticism? It may indeed be an impossible task. They may very well be victim to circumstances outside of their control. They may be scapegoats for organizational failures, but in the end they will still need to show results in spite of all of that and if not, there are thousands willing to take over and try a better approach. There are many people a lot worse off than MLB hitting coaches.

QUOTE (Knuckles @ Oct 1, 2014 -> 08:09 PM) Noah praises Mirotic. Was there a snippet you were going to post or did you just want to say that?

No on Butler. I can't believe that Butler is 1 year younger than Alex Gordon. I feel like Butler has been around way longer.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 1, 2014 -> 04:00 PM) Look at the Royals though. They have way less talent than Oakland IMO and look where they are. Do they though?

Honestly looking at how much talent there is on the As roster compared to ours and to see the result it's more depressing to me than anything else on how far we have to go.

Official Recruiting Thread II

Good news about Biedschied leaving is on 10/11 when 3 top 40 recruits visit Missouri we now have 2 schollies. Though if we just land Bryant I'll be happy, land one of Briscoe or Blakeney and that is a game changing class. This year will be painful though. -

QUOTE (Boogua @ Oct 1, 2014 -> 12:41 PM) It looked like he was heavily leaning Illinois, but there is almost never a lock when it comes to recruiting. Jalen Coleman was an ND "lock" for a while and look how that turned out. I think people need to realize that the way this information is gleaned is not very scientific and reporting on it will almost certainly get you clicks from all fan bases. Until they sign, it's hard to bank on it. Rivals Mizzou's Pete Scantlebury just went on a rant on how fickle it all is after 6 month verbal TE commit for Mizzou football decommitted after the guy had spent weeks on a breakdown of him. -

And Cam Biedschied is no longer a part of Mizzou bball. What the helllllll -
Oh no, Mirotic looks like a taller Kirk Hinrich in disguise.

Sox/Cubs rank in bottom 5 for local TV ratings

I imagine the % of hardcore to casual fans for white sox is pretty similar to elsewhere. I just don't think there is a large amount of sox fans so it becomes exaggerated. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 30, 2014 -> 08:37 PM) Dantonio put Gholston back in the game after being knocked out cold with a head injury and nobody was clamoring for the AD and coach to be fired, because they were winning. I honestly don't care for these stupid message board games of bringing up every other example of other cases and grading the outrage, but at least in that case: MSU was better at lying He was taken off the field after that play and was administered a concussion test They are incompetent and/or lied about that test and put him back in Michigan: -Did not take him off the field - Took him off the field and then examined his ankle - Sent him back out onto the field - Have confirmed he had a concussion Michigan doesn't have the cover of their staff performing their job correctly and possibly lying, they have their staff having perfomed incorrectly and confirming that the kid was put out with a concussion. It's not the same. Gary Pinkel also put out a player in 2004 bowl game and he finished the game. Nobody cared then. We know more now, people need to be held accountable for players health. There can't always just be "systemic breakdown...nobodies fault". -

I disagree. He wouldn't get fired, but this is just another example of incompetence. People in the stadium and the announcers were pretty upset. I think it was also less the him playing another snap then also throwing him out there after Gardner. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 30, 2014 -> 01:42 PM) I'd guess Hoke is gone after the season and the AD sooner or later. What a F up. Releasing a statement at 1am. Wouldn't be shocked if Morris didn't return next year. Where is a link to this? I saw some twitter references but no article about it. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 28, 2014 -> 02:32 PM) At first I never would've thought Hoke would be fired in season, but starting to feel likely, especially after Kansas just did it to Weis. Just saw video of that QB staying in the game. That was terrible.
