I should, I used to have Bravo on all the time when top chef/runway/other reasonable shows were on but now that it is real housewives 24/7 I never remember it's a channel anymore.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 16, 2014 -> 02:07 PM) I think a lot of the airlines hedge their future fuel purchases anyway. They buy long-term contracts, not jet fuel at day-to-day prices. Well yes, it's not nearly that volatile but this large of a decrease will be noticeable in pricing as it's been happening for about 2 mos now and does not appear to be from incredible supply increase.

8th would really surprise me. I'm excited for Mizzou probably because football is unbearable right now. But this year will be tough, 3/4 the roster is either new or frosh/soph. Kim Anderson has basically had to teach defense the entire summer and said he's only got into offensive sets the last week.

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 15, 2014 -> 07:02 PM) Curious how much they'll charge. Would have be around $20 a month for it make sense. Yeah. I just really can't see myself cutting the cord until sports packages make more sense. I would spend about as much at bars as I would with cable. The real disruption will be when HGTV goes netflix, amirite?

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Oct 15, 2014 -> 07:26 PM) Just a healthy correction. Buying opportunity. I really hope so, and with respect to Ebola hitting Boeing getting cut 4% perked my ears. BUT. I'm nervous. Germany/Brazil/China all slowing down, US retail having a declining month and the oil plummet I have to imagine is a sign of a global demand shortage. but I hope you are right. Here's to hoping for a fantastic holiday retail season. If my wife and I can keep our jobs through this, we were hoping to purchase a house in the spring. A real estate correction and the mortgage interest dropping to 4% doesn't hurt me terribly.

Bold Prediction: Markakis is gonna be the saltalamacchia of this year. Where it makes a good amount of sense, but we feel he'll get overpriced, basically hear we are out of the running early, then he'll get signed for a contract that is pretty reasonable.

Ebola in the USA
What petty crap: You want to sit and cry and point fingers at the past, how about focus on the future and react and work to solve a problem. If people did more of that, we'd be far better off anyway.. I'd argue that the fact that Balta among others fights for this stuff daily so that when we hit the crisis we are prepared rather than just getting to a crisis and suddenly starting from zero is exactly what the type of behavior you are proposing. Instead many on this site very much subscribe to the "lol government spends money on volcano eruption monitoring" and then when a volcano hits "why were we not prepared? Fire everyone!". The CDC is working with Doctors without borders for help with containment procedure, and procedures will continue to evolve. There are currently 2 cases, and we will see where we are at in another 3 weeks.

Every time I end up trying to get tickets for a big event I'm amazed at how stupid the ticket purchase websites are. Standing in line at a local nordstrom ticketmaster booth was time consuming and dumb, but it was at least fair. Not having the web site work for 98% of the people who visit at all is just stupid.

I think the only thing I'm aching for if catcher is beyond us is upgrade to our OF defense. We cannot be running that weak crap everyday. I hope Viciedo pans out for someone, but we can't have a replaceable offense and bad defensive player just because he is young.

QUOTE (gatnom @ Oct 13, 2014 -> 08:01 PM) Man, you must be an Illinois fan with accusations like that! I do remember seeing those pictures of Laquon Treadwell flashing a bunch of money and thinking he should be a little more careful with social media. I mean, when you (seemingly) randomly land the top recruiting class in the country coming off a 5-7 season or something like that, either something is up or everyone believes something is up.

I think they are definitely a playoff contender in that division. Their running game is finally there, and Hoyer is doing everything you need to win games. The defense was already pretty good the past 2 years. That said, they'll probably drop one of the next 3. edit: said conference instead of division.

Man I thought Maui Maui would be amazing. He can't hit any intermediate crossing routes and now can't hit the long ball. I don't recall a more inconsistent mizzou offense.
