  1. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Aug 6, 2014 -> 05:06 PM) Although I agree, I've said the same thing the past 3-4 years and every year Atlanta just flops in the playoffs, so until they can prove to shoot hot when it counts, I'm not too worried about them. Wizards aren't dominating but they got hot at the right moment so i'd still be cautious with them. They took Pacers to 7 games. They aren't a great team, but, like Don Nelson's GS teams, they could play a spoiler against a vulnerable opponent.
  2. The main worry I have here is isn't coop pretty instrumental with Sale/other pitchers for when to pull them due to mechanics falling out of whack? I am nervous about injuries with him gone.
  3. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Aug 6, 2014 -> 04:26 AM) I can't take Washington or Toronto seriously, at least as they stand. Washington has pretty iffy supporting wings and only a slightly above average frontcourt (assuming Nene actually stays on the floor). Even if Wall and/or Beal takes the leap, that will hold them back against better teams. Toronto got career years out of Lowry and DeRozan, I'm not assuming those are trends. They leaned on those two pretty heavily. I love me some Valanciunas, but eventually he has to get his s*** together. If Jonas turns into the 15-10 guy I thought I drafted before this year in fantasy, then things get more interesting for them. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if Atlanta, finished ahead of those two. The Hawks are a bit thin in the backcourt, but they have a great duo up front if Horford is healthy and Teague probably won't shoot as poorly as he did last year. It wouldn't surprise me either if Atlanta did. But Gortat and Nene put on a pretty good show in playoffs and would be a matchup problem for Cleveland if they are on. Atlanta's shooting, if hot, is a terrifying playoff team.
  4. This is fun.
  5. Wizards would be a fun matchup vs Cavs, as would Atlanta.

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 6, 2014 -> 02:14 AM) That's what I'm saying...you don't hear very often about guys bottoming out in the minors, and then being able to rebound and still have a good big league career. Didn't Crede have a bad year in triple a in year 2?
  7. QUOTE (BaconOnAStick @ Aug 5, 2014 -> 10:50 PM) In his second stint starting this year he has actually has been a decent starter. 4.43 ERA and 3.65 FIP in that span is worthy of a rotation spot (esp considering he plays in an AL band box). Many here of course dont like him because he doesn't light up a radar gun, but he has a knack for creating outs. The league had a chance to figure him out and turn him into a batting tee and it hasn't happened. Erik Johnson, who lasted a month in the bigs and has gotten shelled in Charlotte ever since, will get more love. Same goes for John Danks, who has been worse than Carroll this year and costs $14.5m. As long as Carroll holds the course for the rest of the year there is absolutely no reason to disregard him in the 2015 plans at least as a spot starter/long man. Fans want the team to be successful. I think everyone has a good perspective on what Carroll is providing. There was quite a bit of applause when Scott Carroll hit the 43 days of service mark.
  8. Imagine if he wore Tyler's glasses.

The problem then is that transformers 4 made over a billion dollars due to global sales. It was pretty good in US but not amazing. These movies globally just crush moneywise.
  10. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 5, 2014 -> 07:22 PM) The trib online site always hits a pop up and tries to make me pay for premium content, I hate that s***. If you throw that into google you can see it. I have no idea why they feel like SE results are fine but links through twitter or sharing should be paywalled. I feel like the opposite is better.
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 5, 2014 -> 06:26 PM) Eh, injury concerns are injury concerns, but Kyrie is no Derrick Rose when both are healthy. He's also had his fair share of injuries. Age aside, I would take Noah for next year over Kyrie in this NBA.
  12. Oh man that was great. I think I groaned out loud reading it.
  13. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Aug 5, 2014 -> 02:34 AM) There are tons of unsubstantiated rumors on twitter about him signing with the Bulls as well. This came from Marc stein. He IS visiting there.
  14. Ugh god I hate how everything works out for Lebron. Marion visiting Cleveland despite only min being offered.
  15. Eh, I think there are more only because of twitter giving us so many updates and they are the few eventful things in camp.
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 4, 2014 -> 06:43 PM) Is that confirmed or a guess? How long does that put him out? I presume he's out about 8 weeks? Rodgers was out 8 weeks after his. This has been confirmed. For a receiver and his build, may be 10 weeks which puts him into mid october.
  17. Crap. Honestly, I'd call up Bennett.
  18. At the time and in hindsight, I wish the Bulls had prioritized love trade prior to the draft. It's likely Minny would have waited anyway for best deal, but they let another stronger suitor into the trade mix and lost out. Also, prior to the draft their assets made more sense to transfer. Gibson, rights to Mirotic, #16 and #19 is easier to accomplish. Try to make it a 3 team deal to get higher draft pick for minny. But after the draft it was awkward to flip Mirotic, and frankly the team outfit had become strange to include Love with addition of Gasol. Not that you wouldn't take that upgrade, but the frontcourt became crowded with similar players. I'm excited for the Bulls team, but I wish they would have made the full court press for Love earlier. I'm guessing Cleveland will look weak for first two months, but James will be able to facilitate more than ever and save some energy for D. It will be hard for any east team to take 4 out of 7 against him. (as it was when he was on trash CLE teams).
  19. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 4, 2014 -> 03:05 PM) I wonder if irrational Bengals fans hate Dalton more than irrational Bears fans hate Cutler. But then again, Dalton's done nothing but choke for the Bengals in the playoffs. Cutler at least won a game. I have a friend who is a rational Bengals fan but hates Dalton. The Bengals are incredibly talented almost across the board. He obviously is not losing most games, but he is an average QB.

Agreed. I thought it was an awesome film. A popcorn film world we just don't get anymore.
  21. Fooooootttttbbbbbaaaaalllllll
  22. I was pretty disappointed with Anderson hire, but after retaining Tim fuller and hiring Fulford, recruiting is not my concern. This is a damn good young nucleus. He has earned his three year window for success.
  23. Woo hoo. Mizzou lands Montaque Gill-Caesar. He'll of a start for Kim Anderson.
  24. Espn saying he's out season. Maybe I'm downplaying this but that seems premature.
