  1. I know all are close but I'm not sure I could place Davis on the third team. He's been ridiculous. Edit: for clarity, I'd place him higher.
  2. I'm not sure I can endorse this usage of fluffing.
  3. Oh, forgot about that. Last time I actually watched draft was 05 I think to see where Mike Bowden would get drafted.
  4. QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Apr 1, 2014 -> 08:22 PM) Agree. Take a scenario where Rodon and Kolek go 1 and 2. You call up Hoffman, Aiken, and Beede and make an offer, the one that takes it is your pick. Then in the second round you use the extra money to sign a guy that slipped like Toussaint, Max Petencost, Derek Fisher or Braxton Davidson. Is there enough time to do this?

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 1, 2014 -> 09:02 PM) Like you said, it's a network comedy, not a detective murder mystery. They had a plan in season 1, but as time progressed they could have altered their thinking as the show developed differently. They didn't need to have the awkward scene with the kids and instead the mother could have lived or something else. I think after season 5, around when I stopped watching, they should have just quit with the idea that he was actually telling his kids anything. Just stopped, no explanation. There are a lot of gimmicks network tv shows begin with as an interesting idea to get on TV that don't necessarily lend themselves to multiple season commitments. For instance, the office, at some point nobody really remembered that this crew was "filming a documentary". Eventually that was just a style, and occasionally they'd nod to it. Now that show went off the rails in its own way, but it would have been severely restricted if they kept to that. Jim could have never left the scranton office. At some point they could have pivoted narrators to freshen it up. How I met your Mother would have been a general theme about looking back to their younger days.
  6. I really wish the draft was still in April.
  7. Agreed. Considering our circumstances, if he can get a nice enough save % rate he would be very attractive to x competitive team with injured closer at mid-year. Let's get Jones and Webb experience getting out of stressful innings before they take over.
  8. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 1, 2014 -> 04:02 PM) Funny how you can change one words - the name - yet everything remains the same. It'd be real nice if it held true. (to be fair, Thomas did have a really long swing, so it's not completely true, but whatever) I was thinking about this, most of my Thomas memories are from 02 and beyond where he began changing his swing for fences. Seemed long then but I thought he had a short and quick route through the 90s. Sucks being young in the 90s as Jordan in Basketball and Thomas in baseball were destroying records. I remember it but don't remember it.
  9. I hate this day.
  10. Cool, lets cut avisail now.
  11. Great highlights at white sox.com of Abreu and Eaton http://m.whitesox.mlb.com/video/v31735269
  12. Oh hey Trout.
  13. Hated missing this game. Pass along any eaton highlights or the Abreu double. Hawk sounded like he was in a great mood.
  14. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Mar 31, 2014 -> 11:56 PM) Sweet Swinigin' Conor Gillaspie has to get a mention for his gapper , a walk and very good baserunning . Mr. April
  15. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 31, 2014 -> 03:32 PM) Since Opening Day wasn't really yesterday, or today, or tomorrow for some teams. It was actually two weeks ago halfway around the world, so he already had an inning pitched officially. Forgot about that.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 31, 2014 -> 02:19 PM) Unless they're looking to deal Noah, I feel like the Bulls should keep targeting offense in the draft and just expect that the combination of Thibs and Noah will take care of most of their needs on D. I'm in on this, but I've also been thinking that maybe since we've proven we can draft defensive studs, we keep drafting them since we know we are good at them, never sign them, and use some money to pay for offense.
  17. Brian Wilson's era will be like 47 tomorrow
  18. Is Jose Valentin the padres 1b coach?
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 31, 2014 -> 01:40 AM) f***. Brooks Orpik just ended the Hawks season. Trying to figure out best case scenario. Just hoping it's not a broken collarbone.
  20. Wow pacers. 4/5 games under 80 pts.
  21. I guess the schadenfreude articles about Caliparis struggles were a bit premature
  22. Id rather we name the field after Reinsdorf or even Veeck than honoring Comiskey again. I'd take Chicago Park though. Edit : phone typos
  23. Best of luck to tekotte. Pretty sweet d all spring.
  24. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 28, 2014 -> 10:29 PM) @AdamSchefter: Quite the story.... RT @Al3xCole: Breaking: DeSean Jackson's gang connections troubling to Eagles http://www.nj.com/eagles/index.ssf/2014/03...d_troubles.html I have to say, that story was a lot of bulls*** conjecture.
