I don't know, I think Cards/Dodgers just had much less urgency to do it.
-
I'm almost certain hahn will trade for like will myers just to show off how much money he can get Reinsdorf to waste as long as it's not going to one player, theoretically, and setting a standard for labor negotiations.
-
I don't really think gore is that interesting. He's a former top prospect who has consistently struggled. He's pretty much the equivelant of Glasnow. The get is 3 top 100 prospects, but now that Bell is in there too, I'd say this just proves how attainable top talent is when you aren't a fucking joke.
-
If I were the Cardinals I would be a bit disappointed. I like Jordan Walker way, way, way more than CJ Abrams. But yeah, to have a seat at the table you can't be a fucking lemonade stand doling out jobs to your rich friends kids.
-
he's back in like a week.

This team finished what 2015 started for me.
-
Yeah we get a fuckin bougie ass bullpen, and non competitiveness. Pretty awesome.
-
probably going to the dodgers then. Gotta tell you, as miserable as last night made me, realizing I went through 3 years of shit baseball after a decade of shit baseball, where I thought we were cleaning the house to bring up a bunch of young players to finally be able to get a big fish...and to see multiple top 5 players in the game become available...and to once again not have the budget. the players. the resolve. It is such a gut punch. This organization is the least relevant organization in the history of baseball. It used to be the padres. It used to be the astros. You can say rockies, and sure. But Rick Hahn has done no better than the rockies during his tenure. I really don't care what shitty moves this team makes. I only want (metaphorical) harakiri of all involved. I can't imagine getting one of the best jobs in the world and being so shitty at it for a decade.

i wish we had the guardians ownership.

I do think Preller has been underwhelming, I mean they didn't make the playoffs last year, his mlb scouting seems pretty shit. And the hosmer deal is maybe the most indefensible mlb deal we've ever seen. but unlike hahn he at least gives himself room for error. Hahns only room for error really was (potential) additional budget, and he wasted it on the bullpen, after spending so much time in the rebuild going after college reliever prospects.
-
It's definitely real. There will be a trade today and I will show you guys that I called it by posting that.
-
his strength though, that destroys hahn, is he knows he can regenerate these prospects at will. Yes, he gets another top 50 player for free (which brings him James Wood), but he can lose trades because he doesn't drop to 30th in the farm system with 3 full affiliates so devoid of pitching talent that they routinely pull fans down from the stands to finish innings.
-
because I fell asleep at 8, that is included in my contract
-
nope, sorry guys, an eyeball tweet was posted, it means a trade is coming.
-
yes, this is likely sarcastic, but I am contractually obligated to post it.
-
listen guys, nobody hates this stuff more than me. But here is some dumb shit to make us silly
-
I think it was over the minute they lost out on Wheeler. Hahn pivots as well as a semi.
-
oh my god, this is exactly it. It's like Hahn had a dream of fielding a team of Billy Butlers. I think it's just a repercussion of Hahn's whiz kids trying to recreate the Houston Astros low K rate, but trying to do it by signing Josh Harrisons and thus ending up as this groundball hitting machine team. But we all know, if there is a soxfest, and if hahn is there to speak, he will mention how they are top five in k rate. But the other part of it is trying to get a team with more power they always go cheap and get "discounts" on older DH types. Their power diminishes along with their fielding, and we can't get rid of them. But, there is also a real PD/coaching issue with Eloy/Moncada/Vaughn/etc. These are guys that hit the shit out of the ball. They really should see if they can up the launch angle and get more power. TA can be TA. but anyway this team sucks.
-
Lol Hahn coming to grips with what he has wrought. I’m sure his budget has not increased, he has no farm to sell, and his team has too many issues to prioritize. Just at home, coddling his many degrees.

Just incredible.

Another inspiring start for the Sox.

Reese McGuire (+ Taylor Broadway) to Red Sox for LHRP Jake Diekman

I don’t really like this. Just add it to the dead money list. Katz basically has to save Hahns ass so he can trade him this offseason or else you are DFAing another $3 mil -

Rick Hahn and the $50 million bullpen (that sucks)
