What ever happened to????
QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Mar 19, 2009 -> 08:47 PM) I was out of comission when NCORG or whatever he went by left his board. I followed him, HSC, Steff and.......Baggio? that dude was a great poster is he still around? What was the story with the Hawaiin dude (NCORG) that hung with Reinsdorf and was one of only three poeple to have seen the diminished skills clause. I remember when he called me a teenage punk who had obviously never been in the city of Chicago. I was workign in the Loop at the time and went off on him. Why'd he leave? Someone outted him on never being on the board for the sox. I also remember him claiming he was there when they voted down trading Thomas to the Red Sox for trot Nixon.

RotoWorld Suggests White Sox should sign Jim Edmonds
QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Mar 19, 2009 -> 03:46 PM) Does anyone think Getz could be an option in CF once Beckham takes over at 2B? Though not this year, I really think they will move Alexei to CF. It isn't like he's been a player with a position his whole life, reports given have showed that he's been moved around his whole career. Move him to center if Getz earned a position this year.

The Economy, stupid
QUOTE (kapkomet @ Mar 18, 2009 -> 11:11 PM) You all are right. Every major investment firm is now dead as they once were. We just need to bury them, and have the government take it all over, since the "buck stops with Obama" now. you are phenomenal at taking what people say, miss the point of everyone and extrapolate it to something else nobody, in the world has ever said.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 18, 2009 -> 03:11 PM) I'll go with caring about both. well right, but compared to the billions given this isn't the straw that broke the back for me, but the giving of bonuses is just so absurd. They must be the most insulated, self-loving people in the world.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 18, 2009 -> 01:47 PM) Also, we didn't "donate" a damned thing. The general populace didn't have a choice. It was our elected officials that decided it for us. I believe in most of these situations, public opinion has been decided to let all of these groups go at it on their own, just like the individuals in the general public have to. I disagree, because these were our elected officials, I don't think it's far off to call it donating. These congressman are re-elected at a very high rate, so that tells me we are satisfied with their decisions. It's like AIG is Jimmy Stewart at the end of it's a wonderful life, except instead of putting the money in to keep the bank level he spent it all on his kids and went to florida. It isn't the amount of money being spent I care about. It's people who were largely responsible for the collapse coming away with millions.

QUOTE (kapkomet @ Mar 18, 2009 -> 05:49 AM) Obviously, neither do bonuses or earmarks. You are defending these bonuses on a bogus legal precedent. Maybe SS2K5. But let me tell you how outrageous it sounds to me, (after the labor unions of the car companies you demanded renegotiate your contracts) that a company like AIG hands out bonuses by contracts in spite of the fact that the company and its contracts would not exist without the federal government. You want to talk about a lack of patriotism. The thought of spitting in the face of our citizenry who donated their money to protect themselves from the consequences of the IDIOTS who took 30% profit over logic that it could all could fail and all those connected could fail, and have US bail them out and then STILL maintain profit because of their contracts only relevant because of our money is dispicable. And earmarks I'm not against it's just politics of politically minded people hoping to gain some points in the polls. It's not that big of a deal, I benefit from it, you do too. It may not be the role of the fed. gov't but I don't give a f***. Some things need funding that people don't realize. It's easy to throw out funny names and snark and act above everything, but Alaska and Lousiana, you are disproportionately gaining from these projects you hold your noses at. So without parsing of words. f*** YOU YOU f***ING HYPOCRITES

Why would we do that? Defense spending doesn't count against the budget right? /green

QUOTE (lostfan @ Mar 17, 2009 -> 01:45 PM) If someone gave me Z's contract but said I had to be a Cubs, Packers, and Pistons fan, I'd go out and buy season tickets for all 3 that same day. I smell a new stimulus package!

RotoWorld Suggests White Sox should sign Jim Edmonds
Oh man, KHP just reminded me I've never been more wrong in my life than when I was mad at KW for not signing Andruw Jones last year. Never let me be a GM. I'd be worse than hawk.

I've liked seth rogan since he was the best character of the older kids in Freaks and Geeks. I believe he isn't the funniest in the movies he's cast because he isn't supposed to be, because he can do both.

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Mar 16, 2009 -> 08:19 PM) I think you guys are crazy and are taking a few extreme cases and assuming that everybody behaves in the way. I mean we are talkilng about a 20,000 seat ampitheater (where DMB & THS are playing in St Louis) I am sure a lot of those people listen to a lot of other music. The Hold Steady are headlining a show in St. Louis on April 6 at a place that holds less than 500 people, I will keep a look out for their next healiner show and where it is. I would be willing to bet that it is at a considerably bigger venue. Not really. I encourage you to go to this show and ask the people how many live shows they have of Matthews, they'll start bragging.

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 16, 2009 -> 04:30 PM) Dude, I was gonna say that, but figured everyone would jump down my throat for generalizing. Every last one that I've met does exactly that. They have an I pod full of DMB. I'm not sure it is generalizing. There are wishy washy matthews fans, for sure, but the one's who go through all the hoops to get to his shows, it's just the oddest music love affair with the guy. There are bands I surely love, and love live, but, it's just not necessary. To me, it comes across as very childish - very "fans of beatles at shea stadium"

Eh, Dave Matthews fans are pretty f***ed up. I'd bet a large majority of those people listen to nothing but live dmb tapes.
