The blackout was a special treat for me. It was cool that everyone around me could see how dedicated sox fans are. Plus don't the heat pass out shirts and stuff? This was just a special night last night. I love me some white sox.

So I wanted to go to a bar to watch the game, thought there'd be some sox fans, but hey it was a tuesday and I'm in Columbia MO so I was under no allusions that there would be. THere wasn't really anyone at all in the bar we went to. BUt I brought my friend, made him wear black. He's a Cardinals fan but is a huuuuge Griffey fan. It was fun for both of us seeing how much fun Griffey was having in those middle innings. Odd, but he seems relaxed now. Now that he's in pressure. I think he feels part of the team finally.

You know what? Winning is how traditions are born. SO why not stick with the black out? The white out? LOL I don't know, I think our players wouldn't be able to pick up the ball.

You know, I hate to put a damper on this, but there were two aspects to the last two weeks: dealing with some awesome sox fans who kept my hopes up and weren't actively rooting against them and two Dealing with the most ridiculous sox fans in games threads that just talked the s word about the sox the entire damn time. And I have to say it is probably sweeter for the former. I know some people deal with some things differently but my God, it was awful.

God I can't wait to see the crowd. They are gonna be rocking. I remember after the 05 world series most of the announcers said they've never been in a stadium so loud (I mean, we didn't even have thundersticks)...these young Twins better know whats coming.
