Some real OKC vibes to Washington in they had that incredibly star laden team and the only one they could keep was Strasberg. But they won a chip so respect. The Sox will not be a player but you should do everything for Soto.

Did they improve RF? Did they improve 2B? What was Goodwin/Hamilton producing at this point last year? What was Leury/Madrigal? They also didn’t use those positions to balance the big weaknesses of RHP and too groundball heavy.

Ok so I think of the rumored pitchers I think Whisenhunt seems the most likely Sox pick, but I do like Snelling most personally as a prospect. If I’m overseeing broader Sox minor leagues, I’d go Whisenhunt. Snelling reminds me a lot of Blake Walston coming out who I was a big fan of. He’s getting hit around a bit in AA but I would love if we had a guy like that. Walston was also a QB with a nice curve coming out. Of hitters, I’m still hoping for Delauter falling. Am intrigued by Thucker Tholbert. Would defend Gilbert. That Susac one Id like just because we don’t have anything like that. I’m ok with chasing power in this draft. I also like Meltons Law write up but haven’t seen much of him to Sox.

I mean that’s from two scouting directors ago. Shirley had gone after pretty athletic or physical pitchers in Thompson, dalquist, kelly, Burke, macdougal. Not sure any of those guys have an unorthodox delivery. I know crochet will be thrown at me. This is where Sox rumors are hard for me to trust from national writers. The Sox don’t have organizational philosophies, the people in the positions do.

I want everything thrown at this game. Get a cortisone shot in Lynn’s knee, steroids into Leury, adderol for TA, shock collar to moncada for any strike three not swung at. A real wizard of oz approach.

I think it’s noticeable how much more timid he is coming in after last year. He still seems ok going side to side, but he does seem nervous on stopping suddenly. And I get it, never had my groin muscle rip off
