  1. Yeah, seems a little natsy to me too.
  2. I just don't know how many times I can look at this and still ignore it. I'm a Book of Jobe 18. Jackson Jobe, Heritage Hall HS, Oklahoma City Jobe is a very hard thrower with elite spin rates on his curveball, possibly the highest in the class, and is an outstanding athlete whose father, Brandt, won the Boeing Classic on the PGA Tour in 2019. He’s not the tallest or most physical among the high school right-handers this year but has the best present combination of stuff and athleticism.
  3. I'm still on Jobe at this point. In the comments. @Mike H. He's completely unable to hit or pick up breaking stuff. He's more like Kam Misner, who was a comp round pick two years ago despite top 10 overall tools.
  4. I almost wonder if you just plan on aisle vendors? Keep people in their seats. I think baseball is one of the biggest no brainers for fans, I just think it being outdoors, easier to keep attendance in check while it still making sense to have fans, and less of a "scream to make noise" event. But the only place I really worry about are bathrooms and the kitchens/gate vendors. If sox have really improved ventilation/air filtration then I honestly think the mayor/governor are just dealing with how knee jerk people (themselves included) are about people gathering in large numbers on tv even though this is much safer than the 50% indoor capacity and bars being allowed open until 1 am.
  5. There are going to be fans on opening day. But they aren't going to say there are going to be fans until there is an agreement in place. The sox also have a bit more leeway since they start season on a 7 game road trip. Biggest issue is going to be training vendors, who are always pretty terrible to start season. If I was food vendor I would simplify menu to start season, launch the weird stuff in June.
  6. booster talk from Gottlieb
  7. Yeah, there was that study with AZ a few weeks ago showing that people that got shot 2 six weeks later were in the 80% efficacy whereas prior it was 60. J&J booster in 5-6 months may be the most effective.
  8. 4D chess - not dicking around with vaughn/kopech service time will help in Giolito negotiations.
  9. Couple things I think will help that I think/hope we'll know by summer: - Nobody in public health is capable of saying whether you can take multiple different vaccines. It seems weird that it would really be an issue. But there are studies now on mixing/matching different vaccines running. Basically if it come out that, yes this new moderna booster for the SA variant works, the J&J/Pfizer group can also take that, vs are you locked in for some reason. I think a "you can take the other one later when there is more" may ease some of this concern. - Eventually J&J will get results out on a two-dose which I would bet heavily will put it on a tier much closer to the pfizer/moderna vaccines. We have gotten releases from moderna or pfizer, can't remember, that those are also effective as one-dose. Really was just a choice by J&J to get to EUA as a one-dose, they did, it's a big deal, but showed it as less effective. It will probably be helped by a booster just like the others, so it will help when they can put that study out. And whichever one gets out their youth studies first will benefit. I get the concern from people, mainly around the variants. With that unknown you probably want to work on the highest baseline (see south africa ditching AZ), but AZ has still shown how valuable it is in the UK. And J&J still held up pretty well against the SA strain with 57% efficacy (compared to 70% overall). Long story short - hopefully the messaging to take what you can get now works, and gets improved when they can say "and you can get the other ones later"
  10. Rangers were the team that got mad at Tatis for hitting a grand slam on 3-0 right? Shocking.
  11. LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  12. It is very frustrating partly because it has been clear since last summer that there are no "regional hot spots". If it gets hot somewhere, it's going to get hot again elsewhere. So close too, just wait one month and it could be so much better.
  13. has anyone said going going Vaughn yet
  14. I think ultimately J&J will end up getting approved for a booster. But right now I hope US just gets as many people covered as possible, but I did think it was interesting IL giving J&J to the United center which is targeting 65+. Perfect world moderna/pfizer goes to older/high risk, but every time they try to target too well it slows things to a crawl.
  15. Ugh thank god. Yeah Jewel has the easiest site to just monitor but probably why it goes so quick. Glad you got one, assuming you did two-shot?
  16. same here, they aren't going to slow things down to verify. If you feel like you are not at high risk and could wait, the second half of march is likely going to be way more available for appts.
  17. http://dph.illinois.gov/news/public-health-officials-announce-1577-new-cases-coronavirus-disease 83k J&J vaccines coming wednesday to IL
  18. Oh that's great for some reason I thought they made the jan 15 signing date permanent. Makes sense then on colas waiting, was only 7 months not 12 and you could get in some playing time this year.
  19. Nick Williams, we picked him up around same time as cespedes. He had some decent success hitting years ago when he first came up then fell off a clip. But sox paid him a decent amount (900k) so they clearly saw some talent there.
  20. yes, not just a problem with bulls. But you can't throw wcj at jokic, ayton, gobert, zion or AD obviously and expect to stop them. Big men are a thing, but he's useful recently, just not going to be an important piece moving forward, maybe a strong bench contributor or 5th guy on a stronger team.
  21. just incredible year and work by University of IL, and their saliva test just got EUA. It's being rolled out across IL. https://chicago.cbslocal.com/2021/03/01/university-of-illinois-covid-saliva-test-approved/ They've done an incredible job this year, and after initial rollout issue, were able to keep a low positivity rate even as things exploded in the fall and then post holiday.
  22. Derek Carr Revenge game
  23. TONYS BOYS DONT QUIT
  24. Yeah, I think it's a guy to help advance their play designs. Nagy may not know how to put it all together, but I remember a few articles during/after his first year that he was one of the nfl coaches consistently reaching out to college level, picking brains on how college coaches were advancing the offensive attack.
