  1. will happily take the bet that musgrove outperforms non-bauer free agents over next two seasons.
  2. Cincinnati should sign Rodon. Or San Fran.
  3. Frazier is obviously a really good talent but the dude is in Arb 1 just like Castillo, and andujar is a reclamation and tough position ally. I don’t don’t that’s the best talent package but a curious one for reds to make.
  4. I think Ptatc Is right that that is owners logic I think DA is right in practice. Total salary wise it won’t change much. The no fielding power hitting player has not fared much better than utility guys on the market. What it does do is get veterans a better chance at a job. it also improves the game, which ptatc is right to point out is not a concern of baseball owners. The least concerned of ruining their product of any sport.
  5. Interesting guys to me that could be at that level. Do I think all of these are good signings? No, interesting is a mixture of stories, previous success or previous Sox interest. Mike Leake - opted out in 2020. Heavy control pitcher who always seemed to be a sox target. Not a guy you’d expect a lot more than innings and hoping for 4.5 ERa. But, could be an interesting guy for Lynn to talk with. Archer - shoulder could be an issue, but he’s a “get the pirates stink off” guy Hamels - see status of shoulder. Would likely need to be sold on winning team. Wainwright- went from joke to a pretty decent option. Again, he wouldn’t get paid like he would other years so would have to want TLR over retirement/cards Folty - Obviously, if his weight came back and velo looked encouraging, getting that 2018 fb would be incredible Chatwood/Jimmy Nelson based on injuries. Assuming Paxton is higher cost
  6. I think Odorizzi would also be really strong but he also appears priced out.
  7. I’d say for specifically Q and Perez they at least were likely to give 160 IP, which the scary part in this group is it’s more like the Gio Gonzalez group. Still, some guys in here will pop. Archer is interesting. We just need to get lucky
  8. I’d like to see if we could get Trevor Williams on a minor league deal
  9. It is insane how Teheran is only 29.
  10. It’s the level they’ve had the least success last decade
  11. I am gonna say this is wrong. I actually think this boards hit rate on its fetishes are pretty good.
  12. Honestly there wasn’t much smoke to start with.
  13. Maybe if he McCullers it and goes curve curve curve. His curve is very good at getting swings.
  14. Sounds like we’ll need SP market to sort out a bit more.
  15. He has good leverage with his Japan threat. I expect him to try for $14+
  16. Ugh what a Brutal loss
  17. It wasn’t the shooting, it was the insanely bad turnovers.
  18. A lot of good in this game but sooo much awful. Just a very stupid game
  19. I’m not a fan but I can see being a scout and wanting him. 95 mph fastball with a great slider and curve. Probably figure they can play with usage of stuff for different results. Katz would have seen a lot of him so hopefully if he’s their guy he has confidence in him
  20. Thanks this is what I was looking for. Also saw he is on Twitter as yolqui
  21. I have a hard time believing in this case that yankees wouldn’t win a bid.
  22. I keep seeing different spellings of his first name. Is it Yoelkis or Yolqui or is Yolqui a nickname for Yoelkis?
