  1. I’m sure it was so confusing to Rodgers to put our worst coverage defender on his closest receiver on a long developing blitz. Was a puzzle for him to decipher.
  2. Never have trevathan in coverage. Ever. What a terrible terrible call
  3. Had the old system had a playoff attached yeah. Top three usually has a lot of controversy. Usually aren’t four great teams, I think question isn’t notre dame as much as cincy. I think it’s fair and issue is those programs usually build up to one great year then reload. But in their great years there are always side eyes because of their schedule. I don’t really know. Been these teams every few years.
  4. Seems like his pitches are hard to classify. Regardless, gray is a very good pitcher. I do kinda dislike how short right handers age
  5. Its pretty damn hard. Bears would need to be able to absorb all of it and not send any salary back because Philly has to swallow the signing bonuses
  6. Including Clemson in there is rich
  7. Man that article does not make me want Gray.
  8. Weird. Yeah New York’s plan didn’t look bad, but clearly reuniting with his college coach worked.
  9. That doesn’t look like what happened. If anything they upped his fb usage, then reds had him cut down on his two seamer and put him near his early As pitch usage
  10. Just played a game of “do I like Sonny Gray” and the answer is yes but thank god if we acquire him he’s not working with Cooper.
  11. Yeah I’m sure teams valued those September starts astronomically
  12. Ah the cubs. The only team in history.
  13. Exactly. The “just money” logic was for stars. But when we are talking about a declining #4 pitcher for “just money” vs much better pitchers for prospects that have control, it’s less of a fun talking point.
  14. I imagine the trades provided clarity for either the Sox or reds on cost. But with the Snell trade, a top 20 guy changed hands. So this won’t be cheap even if you view Snell as better, which both teams likely do
  15. This is the level I think. ESP since sox can focus on pitching staff handling vs needing offense, there’s a number of guys there, not that many jobs, they’ll be able to get a guy on a minor league deal that offers them protection.
  16. I have a hard time believing there has been any real discussions for Woodruff. But if Sox can get him it would be incredible. and re trades vs depth, I have a lot more confidence Jerry will open wallets to re-sign players than sign in new ones of this caliber. And this will be unpopular but I would rather have Musgrove than Gray
  17. Congrats
  18. I agree 4 years $100 million is too much!
  19. Ok sure but what about the confidence-o-meter?
  20. One thing I like about musgrove v smyly is Smyly had a velo increase this year. If that regresses like happens than who knows. Musgroves changes started with pitt parting ways with searage. Musgrove wasn’t a particularly bad fit for searage having already thrown a sinker, but they moved off the sinker and leaned into his great offspeed pitches. This article written last year lays out their hopes for their new pitching coach (who sounds a lot like Katz), and he ended up doing all those things and voila https://www.pitcherlist.com/going-deep-joe-musgrove-could-be-better-if-he-so-chooses/
  21. The correct answer is probably yes. But I have a hard time giving up Crochet for anyone even though there is a high likelihood that dude leaves a game in April and we see him in 2022
  22. Gavin Lux was the fourth overall prospect heading into last year. Kelley looks great but he’s a second round high school prep pitcher. He has a long road of progression and likely injury recovery before he arrives. You swap a pitching prospect for a guy like that every time. And yes, he’s a shortstop so he can play wherever you want.
  23. Because he’s awesome
  24. Seems like he started working high fastball + curve vs him previously working low and away
  25. Ron Kruk,Kenny Lofton, Jose Conseco, Ken Griffey Jr, Manny Ramirez
