Airfare is cheaper than ever. Oil rises and tickets absolutely rise. We think companies like spirit are garbage...except they do extraordinarily well. The cost of flights from chicago to nyc since the 80s has barely budged despite inflation. Inflation has been unusually low by historical standards, not sure how the fed is biting into peoples hard savings. While savings accounts are basically useless...they can buy houses for much lower interest and use that for a savings vehicle. And this whole thing...it's a pandemic. The economy had shown itself to be remarkably resilient. China's growth stumbled, it chugged along. The eurozone went into insane austerity mode, it chugged along. The oil shocks of 14-16 hit the one heated part of the US economy...it chugged along. The tech bubble basically burst, it chugged along. Then, yeah, a virus comes in and the world shuts down, so the permabears can say "see! We told you!"

There's nowhere to go now. The speed at which this realization progressed from the NBA on wednesday night, to most schools closing by friday, to people keeping their plans on saturday to then everything shut down in most major cities is incredible. Many probably were holding on but now choice has been rightly taken away. The problem is saturday's idiocy sets us back so much. It will be 2 weeks before we even know how big of a deal that was, then another 2 weeks for those to get better.

Pretty late, like if they couldn't start until after the traditional post ASB type late. If that were the case I'd hope they at least try something fun like a huge WBC like tournament with all teams and the truncated season a seeding play and do away with a world series this year as a season that short to me wouldn't qualify.

I honestly don't know. I assumed it was subscription service gaming? maybe it's PC or something. Anyway, not trying to be flip. Made a lot of adjustments of plans. My mom already had her hours cut and we are supporting and I know that's happening all over country. But when it comes to dealing with the changes it is funny how much of a void is coming with the lack of baseball for me. Like this will be worse than the offseason by 100x, but hopefully those are my thoughts and not actually watching a spiraling health care system.

lol this was my first place I went. I was supposed to go to san fran this weekend, canceled, kept the day off tomorrow. Was going to buy a video game or start this "steam" thing the kids keep telling me about. Ugh dang it I forgot I need a PS4 for baseball. I have to just get my teeth kicked in on OOTP again.
