  1. Pro Hodges.
  2. Derek Dietrich was signed in March and has a .700 slugging percentage right now. He'll be a FA, slot him over to 1b. That's the beauty of 1b, basically anyone can be one.
  3. I mean, trade or sign for one.
  4. I'm so excited for Cease. I think he's got that no nonsense attitude that plays well for a starter, more than the fake bulldog mentality.
  5. sweet so in three years our players will be caught up to the 2014 Dodgers.
  6. That’s an argument for why it’s jnexcusable to be so bad at international and player development. It’s hard to acquire talent, let alone star talent. You can’t be bad at things that improve your chances to find starters. But also Sox have been pretty terrible in the rest of the draft. Cleveland has finds like Shane Bieber.

I don’t think Sosa had an injury just a horrid slump in April and early May

    TA WELCOME BACK
  10. Left center so he pulled it.
  11. Madrigal Bomb!
  12. I already pulled your list. What is the 4 year college hitter list look like? Really good? Does it seem like this is a stupid way to judge whether to draft a player yet?
  13. Again, Sox have followed your preferred draft philosophy. I’m confused why the results aren’t more positive?
  14. This is probably just due to the necessity that most right handlers be decent against RHP to be proficient big leaguers.
  15. That is a list of like 12 dudes out of 180 draftees. Most were not even top picks. Your being scared of specifically high schoolers as opposed to “all draft picks” is almost as idiotic as being scared of “athletes”.
  16. I’m not sure it’s that much of a concern. Trying to drop Priester is probably impossible. But anyone mocked past 20 could probably be available anywhere from 21-60.
  17. story of the decade.
  18. Well bush but yeah. Big question is who gets Great Falls assignment. Weaver performed the best, and was the youngest.
  19. Lopez going to suddenly have a much more interesting game plan than all fastballs for 4 innings before introducing a changeup.
  20. Second rounder still sounds like a fun investment, but I'd still rather go after a prep pitcher over Hinds. I like that they are looking though.
  21. He's really bad getting out of the box, but when he gets going it's like seeing old timey roberto clemente clips where he's flailing his arms and sliding in to the base like a mortal combat finishing move. I love it.
  22. Just to be clear, you think Hinds is still in the latter category (lack of pitch recognition) but is far behind where Adell and Witt are/were, so not likely to be flying through the minors like them, correct? I also thought Adell was hit a bit because of geography.
  23. Maybe it's just getting them tyler flowers goggles though
  24. 2018: 4th - Lency Delgado 7th Cabera Weaver 11th - Kevin Maldanado 33rd - Bush 2017 8th - Sam Abbott 2016 6th - Luis Curbelo 2015 4th - Corey Zangari 15th - Chris Comito 2014 2nd - Spencer Adams 10th - Jake Jarvis 2013 2nd - Tyler Danish 5th - Thad Lowry 7th - Trey M With the exception of 2013 and 2014, there has been very little investment in high schoolers.
