Dodgers & Reds trade (Kemp, Puig, & Wood to CIN, Bailey, Josiah Gray & Jeter Downs to LA)
The baseline has to be this 10 year 280 deal he turned down from Was (removing that deferred money). Signing for less, even with high AAV, would be really surprising.

Harper to Phillies 13yr/330 mil
One thing that I do strongly believe is the dodgers would have made that trade yesterday even without a possibility of signing Harper. It just opened it up more. But I really wouldn’t be shocked if Friedman maintained discipline. He clearly enjoys this overwhelming depth model, and if he goes for it it may just be for midseason acquisitions.

I figured but googling never found it. Thanks.

Harper to Phillies 13yr/330 mil
Is loaning a legal thing that just isn’t done or is it illegal in CBA?

Harper to Phillies 13yr/330 mil
If only we could sign Harper and then loan him out to dodgers for this year.

Let's buy a contract (Ideas)
This is good but I have not seen the market treat buying a prospect the way the market price hypotheticals have said they would to date. Mostly lower level guys.

Let's buy a contract (Ideas)
Are you seriously concerned about moving Tim Anderson for a Bogaerts?

Dodgers & Reds trade (Kemp, Puig, & Wood to CIN, Bailey, Josiah Gray & Jeter Downs to LA)
The idea that this is one or the other is a false choice.

Dodgers & Reds trade (Kemp, Puig, & Wood to CIN, Bailey, Josiah Gray & Jeter Downs to LA)
The lesson from A rods deal is you can take biggest deal and if it fails you can just get traded to a competitive team anyway.

Really enjoy watch every pitchers stuff diminish upon promotion while still having poor control.

Dodgers & Reds trade (Kemp, Puig, & Wood to CIN, Bailey, Josiah Gray & Jeter Downs to LA)
The reds would say they got better on the ML level today, in a very reds kinda way (marginally).

Machado: Update - Manny, do you officially like us?
I am struggling but this quote was my original post I tried to edit and here I am. Read above.

Machado: Update - Manny, do you officially like us?
My hunch is that there actually still isn’t an offer, there will be one presented soon, and Yankees will not be first to make the offer, instead try to bridge the gap as closely as possible.

Machado: Update - Manny, do you officially like us?
This line brings terrible flashbacks to winter 2016 when everyone was sure Hahn was playing checkers and would get one of the outfielders for a bargain price and instead we signed jimmy Rollins in March.

Update: Machado met with Sox
I do not follow Anderson but just checking on my own follows, it’s all just not sensical The dumber thing is that he’d follow a bunch of former Phillies that who knows are even part of the pitch.

Update: Machado met with Sox
Also for the record the article does not say that, it is Sherman speculating what hal Steinbrenner would do.
