This is good but I have not seen the market treat buying a prospect the way the market price hypotheticals have said they would to date. Mostly lower level guys.
My hunch is that there actually still isn’t an offer, there will be one presented soon, and Yankees will not be first to make the offer, instead try to bridge the gap as closely as possible.
This line brings terrible flashbacks to winter 2016 when everyone was sure Hahn was playing checkers and would get one of the outfielders for a bargain price and instead we signed jimmy Rollins in March.
