  1. Way to bring it home heads!
  2. Ah, yeah I did not realize the y2Jimmy shane and the twitter guy were the same.
  3. What does this mean?
  4. I know I'm not the only one that blames the patriots for putting themselves in the position so often where their kicker has to bail them out.
  5. Read my quote "If only the bulls were as aggressive in acquiring picks as they were in acquiring cash they would have some actual value to do things with. " Can you show me what all the cash they've acquired has gone toward and how that is more valuable than the actual players that may get drafted in second round? 2017 they could have used their pick to acquire Dillon Brooks. But they lost that pick in the rose trade, then needed to trade two seconds to get rid of jose calderon for Dwyane Wade to sign for 40 million for 1 year of play.
  6. For a team that has been "retooling" for 3 years? They are much more valuable than cash. Most are trash, but there are plenty of nba starters and rotation players that you can find in the second round better than many of the guards and wings the bulls have trotted out recently. And considering the odd chance you can draft a Jokic, it's worth it. Brogdon, morris, brunson, all possible in second round.
  7. oh man, the hosmer deal. Preller is obviously brilliant at finding international talent (this is undeniable), but I wouldn't trust that dude at all to pull the right acquisitions to build a winner. He's like the polar opposite of Dombrowski.
  8. For one, they can literally buy them. With cash. It's happened!
  9. This is stated perfectly.
  10. If only the bulls were as aggressive in acquiring picks as they were in acquiring cash they would have some actual value to do things with. What exactly does this cash allow them to do? Will they hire an actual league average scouting department (size wise)? Will they pay the $200 to attend the international combine? Who knows.
  11. I knew the NFL thread was too reasonable last night!
  12. Me too, and I think that's a great deal for sox and one that's very tradeable if the rest of the team doesn't organize well around him.
  13. i get this point but if I'm his agent I'm reminding him that injuries can occur for no reason and despite all the training in the world. Would be a rather large gamble.
  14. Man, last night sucked, thankfully I root for all 16 NFC teams so I'm guaranteed a spot in the superbowl regardless, rock n roll dudes!
  15. I don't even care. I really don't care at all. These are the only moves the bulls ownership is capable of making. They sold korver for nothing. They sold jr smith for nothing. They saved money instead of going for it with our 2011-14 core. They are a joke.
  16. lol they finally make a good trade and then immediately make a bad one just to remind us they are still incompetent lolololol
  17. I really wonder if players/agents are starting to look differently at the opt-out. Maybe machado/harper are proving this false, but it really feels like they are more likely to get paid more for their 30s years when teams are trying to get their 26-30 years then if they opt out at age 30 and try to get another "mega deal". For example (and this one is kinda tough just due to his career), had JD martinez become a FA at 28, I would bet he could have gotten more money for age 30-35 seasons than what he got from Boston. calculation may be shifting, and if anything the new CbA the players should be demanding being allowed to be paid earlier rather than force more money into the current system. So if I'm an agent I think best move is to take the long term money.
  18. I guess that sounds right? But I still would feel safer going 8/240. Frankly if we sign him for anything under 8/280 i'm elated, if we sign him for 10/300+ i'm still thrilled. But getting machado without swallowing his age 35 + 36 years would be incredible.
  19. Hopefully Broncos hire Munchak this week, but I won't feel safe until all 8 spots are filled.
  20. I would be a kicker and if I had a parkey moment I would just retire and move to Mexico.
  21. It is truly remarkable how little news has come out of philly after their owner opened his mouth about stupid money. Maybe they have their own little easter eggs philly fans are obssessing over like we are, but seems like there has been a lot more concrete movement from sox than from phillies.
  22. I do think he was the guy philly zeroed in on stopping and burton being out helped it be even easier.
  23. Whatever, i'm adding it to the title anyway.
