  1. I obviously would expect the Packers to hire a good head coach, their process has always been solid. But, come on, the colts started hiring his staff! That guy sucks.
  2. this is a great thread title. I hope we don't have to use it.
  3. I was watching wrestling when I was 11 and did a stone cold stunner to a large stuffed animal and bruised my tailbone.
  4. I don't believe at all what I'm about to say but gonna say it anyway cause I was reviewing 05 team... (so was Jermaine Dye before sox signed him) k that's over but I agree Pollock has a lot of red flags outside from even injury.
  5. I think Lindbergh wrote a convincing argument that his contract year (and injury year before) were a cause of the nose dive due to cautiousness https://www.theringer.com/mlb/2018/11/20/18104199/bryce-harper-free-agency-defense
  6. I also just wonder with Red Sox if they are just doing what they did on JD Martinez last year and just commit to waiting out Kimbrel, who really does not seem to have an interested market outside of boston (interested meaning willing to wait him to come down in price at risk of not having reliever upgrade)
  7. I have no idea of value, but wasn't I reading about how Reds were in on Inciarte? Now, they didn't pull trigger, so maybe that shows off the high price Braves are asking for. But he is signed through 2021, is coming off a relative down year, and would be easily tradeable if our prospects force issue. Now...again it all comes down to price and i'm not quite sure whether braves were actively shopping or just listening to Reds, but hey it's a name!
  8. Not that these teams couldn't sign multiple, but today Robertson went to Phillies and Yanks narrowing in on Britton. I wonder if Ottavino has narrowed it to sox.
  9. the Rams weren't good but they regressed from Pat Shurmur the year before despite realistically an upgrade a QB going to Bradford.
  10. Stephen Noh's columns on the Bulls in the athletic are just must reads. It really felt like this could be the last bad year in august, and now I don't know. I'm not even going to entertain that they will use their cap space on anything other than a bloated deal for Portis and signing Rose.
  11. I think that was always a tweet that could be read in a few ways. Most conservative reading was that they were interested in both of them individually, not as a package.
  12. Nightengale was particularly bad during the 2016 trade lead-up. Multiple times it seemed he would write stuff like "sox not entertaining offers for sale" and then five minutes later he'd be traded.
  13. it's because posts were split out (original thread was started with kyyle, but earlier posts from previous thread go first), but anyway i added Jose Abreu's summary to the original post.
  14. I posted it, it's the macsandz comment in my last quoted post.
  15. I mean, an offer finally being on table means things are close. Took forever to get to this point. Love seeing this. When fans think a signing is possible but no writers discuss them, you start to get nervous. I'm thrilled right now.
  16. I think bigger concern is McDaniels horrible tenure in Broncos followed up by a bad oc tenure in STL makes you wonder how well he can implement a vision apart from Belicheck.
  17. It's so funny how loss averse i am with this. You don't want either to sign first away from sox because it will feel desperate, but originally I wanted harper, then we get alonso and I wanted machado, but now hearing we are still in on harper makes me revert back to wanting harper. Really just want one. They are both good. But I can't spend attention on both it seems
  18. No worries, did not realize who you were, when we moved boards a lot of people reverted to their original screen names. Let me know if you want it changed to bucket. Thanks for info dude.
  19. Theirs did not have near the years that Heyward has, and Kemp was actually terrific last year.
