  1. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 11:58 PM) Interesting who I'm going up against in the first round. Good matchup.
  2. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 01:26 AM) Did anyone else watch this? I just watched the replay at 1130. I tought it was pretty unique, and pretty well done. It was fun to watch something "different" from those "the season" things. Pretty interesting. I especially like Pitino when he was asked about where Telfair could go in the draft and the chance he does go - he said something like "in my opinion, we better start recruiting" I enjoyed it. I thought it was pretty interesting.
  3. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 12:54 AM) Sorry i dont believe this MVC hype, have not all year. It was funny listening to the ESPN crews rip on them. My favorite was Digger calling the MVC final the most boring game he has watched all year. Yup and last week Digger would have told you ND belongs in the tourny.
  4. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 12:51 AM) These teams are a very very different, this is Self's uptemp offense, and the nation's best defense. That's fine and I agree. I'm picking Kansas but Bradley has the athletes and the talent to have a chance against Kansas whether you want to believe it or not.
  5. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 12:47 AM) I also gots no big 10 teams in the getting past the sweet 16. That makes two of us.
  6. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 12:36 AM) haha that is good one..... Bradley keeping up with Chalmers, Robinson, Wright and Rush... Ya you're right, it's not like Kansas would ever lose to a mid major in the first round of the ncaa tourny, oh wait...what's that?
  7. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 09:05 AM) I think I might be the only person in college that doesnt have any of them.... :headshake Wrong.
  8. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 11:36 PM) What do you guys think of the 5-12 games? I know that a 12 wins virtually every year, but I don't see any that I like this year. The closest one I see is the Nevada game, but that's not really a good matchup for Montana. I'm really not a fan of Texas A&M, I don't see Pitt going down, and I don't think Utah State can keep up with Washington. Is it just me, or are these games not quite as ripe for upset picks this year? For some reason I could see all of the 11's winning, but I don't really like the 12's. I like USU and A&M.
  9. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 10:17 PM) Steve Lavin had it too, but he's just a bit biased. lol, nah, what are you talking about.
  10. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 10:11 PM) Rowand and I have a mutual damned relationship going with college basketball, so its cool. Haha, exactly.
  11. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 09:44 PM) I've got them in the elite 8. Where do you have them? Same. Last year I had them losing to nova in the sweet 16...SOOOOOOOOO close. Damn you refs and damn you Sumpter. And damn you palehose too for good measure.
  12. Here's a funny tidbit from my bracket: I have UNC going further this year then I had them going last year.
  13. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 09:22 PM) I just finished my first bracket. I've got Uconn, Memphis, Texas and Boston College in the final 4. I know some will think I'm nuts for having BC as one of my picks. I was just so impressed with their play in the ACC tourney. Their bigs are flat awesome, their guards are solid, and they cause a lot of problems for teams defensively. BC is becoming the popular pick, so not many people are going to think you're nuts.

QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 09:05 PM) Oh man I was waiting to get back so we could celebrate when we either sign Brees or trade for Culpepper.. I'm hoping man, that'd make my day, that's for sure.

Welcome back tru, good to have another phins fan around.
  16. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 08:55 PM) UCLA to the finals. Boo, I wanted to be the only one.
  17. lol, why is this pinned?
  18. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 08:45 PM) Haha I figured some would have too many to list. That's why I called it crazy upsets, just list the "crazy" ones. I don't have too many insane ones things year, although a G-Town/BC elite 8, Wichita State in the S16, and #15 Winthrop over #2 UT are out there. My two huge ones in the first round are Winthrop and Xavier with the W's. I got a lot of upsets until the sweet 16 then it settles down a bit.
  19. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 08:33 PM) Personally, I think SIU has a decent chance to take down West Virginia. If they can limit the wide open 3's, they should have a decent chance. Witchita State can also hang with Seton Hall, that's a winnable game. Northern Iowa also has a chance against Georgetown, although they'll have to play pretty well to beat them. I don't give Bradley too much of a chance though. Bradley's got a shot because they can atleast keep up athletically with kansas. I don't think they'll win but it would not shock me one bit. I'm thrilled with the siu matchup, couldn't have asked for a better one to be honest. I fully expect the Shocks to win against SHU. As far as UNI, I think that'll be a real good, low scoring game but I expect gtown to pull it out.
  20. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 08:38 PM) Ok, another idea. Post your crazy ass upsets here, and please nobody post their #9 beating #8 ideas. Here are mine..... 1st Round: #12 Texas A&M over #5 Syracuse #11 SIU over #6 West Virginia #12 Kent State over #5 Pittsburgh #15 Winthrop over #2 Tennessee (which leads Wichita St. to the S16) #11 UWM over #6 Oklahoma 2nd Round: #6 Indiana over #3 Gonzaga #7 Marquette over #2 UCLA #7 Wichita State in S16 (by beating #15 Winthrop though) #7 Georgetown over #2 Ohio State Sweet 16: #4 LSU over #1 Duke #6 Indiana to Elite 8 (by beating #7 Marquette though) #4 Boston College over #1 Villanova #7 Georgetown over #3 Florida After that, I get boring, with no game in which I pick the underdog seed to win. Those aren't ALL crazy, but they are all significant upset picks based on seedings. To many for me to list.
  21. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 07:50 PM) I always do just 1 bracket. I fill it out quickly with my head, figure that's the best way to do it. Ditto. I won't ever make 2 brackets, I just think that ruins some of the fun but that's just my opinion.
  22. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 07:46 PM) I shall enter aswell. I'll be doing 3 or 4 brackets this year and I'm sure all of them will be different. Boo. BORING.
  23. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 07:21 PM) I'm still waiting for the past example where we got screwed in our bracket. The 4 seed in 03 in the region with Zona, Kansas, and Duke. Though you guys didn't make it that far as you lost to ND.
  24. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 07:16 PM) I think playing Georgetown in the second round could be an interesting game. The Hoyas have enough size to make life difficult for OSU in the paint on both ends, which is a major problem since OSU hasn't been hitting their 3's at a very high rate of late. Ya, I have the Hoyas taking out OSU in round 2.
  25. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 06:26 PM) I think our draw is a lot harder. Hopefully we'll be matching up with each other. Two defensive teams going at it. West Virginia is a tough team. That's what I'm hoping, I actually love the WVU draw, I didn't want to face a team with an inside presence down low cause that could give us fits. We guard so f***in well on the perimeter, I'm just absolutely thrilled with that matchup. It would definitely be fun as hell to watch us go against each other, like cheat and I already said...wow, that game would be unbelievably low scoring.
