Hermanson's career in doubt with injury

Tourney, no question.- Tyler Lumsden
QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 05:37 PM) I just watched the game, he has some good stuff. What is the word on him? Great stuff. Needs to stay healthy.- Oakland Regional
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 05:31 PM) No thanks. I'd take him in a heart beat.- IU Coaching News
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 05:30 AM) Nope, the hot name right now is the Wichita State coach but I've also heard his dream job is Kansas. Mark Turgeon. That'd be a very good choice.- Minneapolis Regional
QUOTE(GasHeGone @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 10:06 PM) You guys see Doyel's article on CBS.Sportsline.com about the Hoyas being able to beat ANYONE? I'm digging the national respect but I feel like whatever Doyel says, it eventually turns to s***. If the Hoyas play their game, I think we can beat Florida. Comments? Gtown has a heck of a team but I just don't think they can beat Florida. Florida is rolling right now, they have the bigs to keep up with the Hoyas and their guard play is better. It'll be a good game but I expect Florida to pull it out.- Oakland Regional
QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 06:58 PM) I don't think ANYBODY is saying the MVC is as good of a league as the Big East or ACC, but that doesn't preclude it from deserving as many teams in the tournament as an ACC or Big 12. The difference is the seeds each conference gets. Bingo.- How's your bracket?
I still have my whole elite 8.- Oakland Regional
Valley power.- NCAA Refs/Gambling/Fixes
QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 12:38 AM) If the fix was in, then the refs would have never let Illinois get a double digit lead. I'm sorry, but saying the game was "fixed" is a pathetic statement. A person can complain all they want about the refs, but when ridiculous statements are made like that, people need to just step back and thing about what they're really saying. People talk about sports being fixed all the time. I hope to god it's not true but with how hard and heavy gambling is with the tournament and the superbowl and such, stuff like that certainly wouldn't shock me.- NCAA Refs/Gambling/Fixes
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 10:52 PM) Now I'm not one to complain about the refs normally, but the Illini have now lost twice in 5 years in the tourney due to the refs. As bad as 2001 was when we had 5 guys foul out and Arizona shot over 50 free throws, today might have been worse. At least in 2001 the Illini had 30 plus free throws, whereas today it was 39 to 11. The Illini were fouling, but so was Washington, and no way did Illinois commit 28 free throws more worth of fouls. Now now, before you call me an Illini homer, let me point out I might have seen a game that topped them all in Gonzaga vs. Indiana. Final free throws in that game were I believe 41 to 6, and Gonzaga won by 10. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I am beginning to think due to gambling, fan base, and ESPECIALLY storyline reasons, that the refs are fixing these games. UConn vs. Washington will be a 1999 rematch, and Lord knows Gonzaga is "America's team". And in 2001, who do you want in the final 4? Mighty Lute Olson and Arizona, or Illinois who was less than a decade removed from a bull s*** probation period. Go ahead and flame me, but to be honest if I researched this I'm sure there are way more examples of the refs deciding games that have nothing to do with the Big 10. I'd be lying if I said that the stuff you said hasn't crossed my mind before, hell my dad actually drills it into my head a lot. He has some theories like this. I try not to believe this stuff though, I hope it's not the case.- Minneapolis Regional
Warning, grossness.- How's your bracket?
I'm still in last in one of my pools and something like 51 out of 55th in the other. The amazing part about it is I have as good a chance as anyone to win them.- Oakland Regional
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 09:26 PM) People like to say good teams would prevail from ridonkulous refs, but it shouldn't have to be like that. 41 to 6. Not many if any teams can over come that. That's pure bulls***.- Oakland Regional
Afflalo u f***in idiot. You do not pass the f***in ball. God damn it.- Oakland Regional
Final free throw numbers: Zaga 41 IU 6.- Washington DC Regional
QUOTE(Soxfest @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 09:13 PM) For a team in 2nd round of NCAA tourney to get it first free throw at 2:00 minute mark left in game and other team team to in the double bonus at 10:00 mark is unbelievable. I have watched NCAA tourney for 30 years and never saw that before in any round. Well you could have turned on the next game to see something very similar.- Oakland Regional
QUOTE(Felix @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 09:13 PM) denied Correct.- Oakland Regional
FT's tonight: B10 team=16, West Coast teams=70 that with 43 seconds left in the IU game.- Oakland Regional
lmao. This is ridiculous.- Oakland Regional
Notice the ft descrepancy again in this game. Just bulls***. Morrison is ugly so he gets that call down the lane, unreal. God I hate Gonzaga.- Oakland Regional
Well I guess it's time for me to eat some crow. Thanks IU for not showing up.- Oakland Regional
Alright... Hoosiers within 1, lets do this IU.- How's your bracket?
And my bracket lives another set of games. Just barely.- Atlanta Regional
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 07:20 PM) That wasn't D. That was goonery. John Chaney would have been proud. They put two hands in Law's back and just pushed him over. Hey, whatever works. EDIT: To be honest, I didn't even see what really happened to him, all I saw was him go flying. - What in your opinion is more successful?
