  1. Freddy is such a big game pitcher, he was dynamite today. Contreras and El duque were also both magnificent, you don't see to often the Yankees getting shutdown in the Bronx by another teams 3-4-5 guys, absolutely impressive.
  2. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 02:34 PM) Grapes and sliced apples. Big eater.
  3. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 02:24 PM) Close to 15,000 posts here at Soxtalk and there has yet to have been one insightful post. Thanks for contributing to the downfall of Soxtalk. Probably a good time to break this up now before it gets ugly.
  4. QUOTE(rangercal @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 02:17 PM) I don't know why we need a poll for "series mvp" against the yankees. It's just another series. Who cares about the yankees. We should not act like espn and hype up the yankees all the time. just my 2 cents I think the fact is that a lot of people were saying that the Sox were going to have to score a lot of runs to beat the likes of the yankees and bosox if we get in the postseason. Our pitching completely shut these guys down and that's without our 2 aces.
  5. WTF, I'll say the MVP was "pitching and defense"
  6. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 02:08 PM) I doubt he gets it. Kotsay will probably end up with it. Maybe Jeremy Reed since we know how infatuated BBTN is with his defense. Both Aaron and Kotsay deserve gold gloves, imo.
  7. What an impressive series. Pitching and defense mi amigos. :headbang
  8. We scored 6 runs against the Yankees without our 2 aces going and we win the series. Impressive, f***in impressive. :headbang
  9. AARON IS SO f***IN GOOD, YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  10. 2 and 2, cmon Dustin. This is the man you need to get.
  11. Throw Cano a lot of breaking balls.
  12. HE GONE, let Hermy face Cano, not Damaso.
  13. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 02:01 PM) Ok, heres the thing. You want know bombs in this situation. Jenks hasnt really been hit hard yet. You need to bring him in here. Dustin's the closer he should have got the ball to begin with.
  14. Cmon Dustin. I hate facing Jeter in this situation.
  15. QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 01:59 PM) Can't they just go down 1-2-3? Things have to be interesting to make sure I have a heart attack every game. But if we win who gives a s***.
  16. QUOTE(GBlum27 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 01:57 PM) Ozzie needs to really get a clue with Cotts. He is better vs. RH than LH, you use him the exact opposite. He should pitch against both, I just don't understand what's going on with Hermy. Is he hurt, is he healthy? If he can pitch he should have been in to start this inning.
  17. Blah, Tino with a count.
  18. And Dustin is warming up, if he's healthy he should be pitching.
  19. Lets go Neal, do your thing.
  20. QUOTE(3E8 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 01:52 PM) I noticed NY groundscrew put too much dirt by the first base bag. Dirty trick. That's actually an interesting point, he seemed to have his wheels spinning at the beginning of his jumps, getting caught in the dirt a little.
