Giddy, I like that word. I don't think there is much doubt that kenny will do his best to acquire these two. Even more so then the prospects the money situation would be the biggest obstacle in the case of a rj trade. We'll see what happens beltran would be nice but I'd love having rj. To good to be true though, I keep telling myself that so I don't get to excited.

Well, the dbacks want talent that's almost major league ready, so if we trade with them expect our spects to be from the high minors. We'd probably be left with few quality prospects at aa and aaa. But there is a lot of talent and depth in the lower minors. So we might have to gut the higher minors a little but still would have tons of talent in the lower minors.

I agree with you and I'm a huge kw backer. Like I said just thinking of rj on the southside is like a dream and until something like this would happen I would never believe it. If rj got traded to the sox it would obviously make the sox one of the favorites in the al. I'm all for going for randy and going for it this year but I just have my doubts that this will ever happen, even though the sox have as good of a shot as anyone to acquire him.

To me it seems to good to be true. But if you really look at the situation the sox are right up there with the angels as teams that have the best chance to get him. We have a better shot then the bosox and the yanks. Especially with kenny being so aggressive it's possible that we may have the best chance to get him. But still I just don't see it happening because it's way to good to be true.

I agree go for it all, go for rj. I'm not sure what arizona has in their farm but if they need outfielders, then the sox are a good match. Another "ace" that might be available is Carl Pavano. I'm not sure if he'll be traded but I've heard that florida would be willing to trade pavano or penny for a bat to help them this year. I have no clue if that's true or not but it's something to think about.

I agree with that but if the angels won't give up mcpherson, what else will they trade? I know peter gammons through out ervin santana as a possibility. If Anaheim won't trade mcpherson I think it's going to be hard for them to get a deal done.

I'm not sure about that, I've heard the angels really don't want to trade mcpherson. Who knows though they just might be saying that to try to get the dbacks to take some one else.

That's a lot for me too. I'm just jokin with you. I used to lose money on stuff like this too, I used to gamble a ton but I try staying a way from that stuff now. Oh it's more then worth it. You have to take risks and sure it's a big risk but it's also a risk to see if your prospects develop. RJ, Garcia, and Buehrle in the playoffs would be about as good as it gets. The problem is I've heard the dbacks want young pitching and with Honel and Wing both injured there isn't much for the sox to trade, maybe a package of cotts, anderson or sweeney and one other player would work. It's pretty exciting and scary to think about what this team would look like with randy. To me it still seems like a pipe dream but I hope I'm wrong.
