  1. I would love to do that some day also. That would be amazing.

To add on to that, with the way this sox team is set up I think thats the way to go. Next year, the sox have frank, carlos, pk, olivo, willie, uribe and hopefully crede will pick it up and be a big part of this core also. Anways what I'm saying is no matter what happens with maggs you still have a pretty darn good offensive core back for next year. You can afford to put borchard or reed in right field and maybe the other in center. Then put that 14 million towards pitching, pick up garcia or maybe resign him if he's traded here. Pick up a reliable closer and pick up another relief pitcher. Plus koch and jose gone, resign loaiza and then you keep a darn good rotation in tact. Add two quality arms to a bullpen that will most likely have damaso, shingo, adkins and cotts already there. All of the sudden you have a great rotation and a pretty darn good bullpen with a very solid lineup, you have a very solid team.
  3. Obviously, that's Mark Prior.
  4. Yeah, I went on Weds when I was in Boston. It was pretty cool but nothing beats a game at uscf when watching our sox. I love watching all baseball but its not the same when you go to a game and your not watching the white sox.

Tex this is what I mean when I say maggs isn't worth 14 million. With that money the sox could maybe go out and sign garcia and maybe 2 other quality players. Maybe one of them being a closer. So you fill 3 wholes with 14 million, instead of playing one player that much money when your better off filling other wholes.
  6. What the hell do you want ozzie to do about contract talks?
  7. I love uscf just an awesome park. Fenway was awesome too, until it started to rain . Yankee stadium is alright I don't think it's amazing but it was descent. I liked miller park but I like the cell and fenway much better.
  8. Ortiz has a 1.35 era as a reliever. While I definitely think jose for ramon straight up would be dumb if anaheim adds a prospect or two it might be something to thinkg about. Like I said before he'd probably get a shot to close. It would also free up another 1.5 million while not a ton it's something and could definitely help in making another trade for a garcia or a finely, just something to think about.
  9. Well if jose is traded that opens the door for a finley or a beltran(will never happen) basically if jose is gone I think kenny would go out and look for that left handed pop to play center field. I'm sure kenny's thinking behind this is to give ortiz a shot to close not to have him start.
  10. It was on rotoworld also, I think that offer is true.
  11. The yanks have absolutely nothing to give up in a trade.
  12. I basically agree with everything you said. Centerfield and 3rd is where it gets kind of weird. Both of those kind of depend on Crede, if Joe ever starts to hit, the sox can leave willie in center, uribe at 2b, jose ss, crede 3b then everything is set. If crede is still suckin it up close to the deadline, kenny might have to go out and look for a finley and end up moving uribe to 3b which is probably the best thing to do anyways. But another starting pitcher and another arm in the pen are definitely the two biggest needs and wholes right now with this team.
  13. That would probably be the best way to go. But right now I don't think kenny will trade for another hitter unless he's of the beltran caliber. I'd love to see beltran here but realistically I don't see it happening. I believe the yanks will sign beltran in the offseason but don't have enough to trade for him right now. Getting garcia is obviously much more of a need right now and a closer wouldn't hurt either. Right now the offense is the last thing to be worried about even though they still do sleep walk through some games. Another starting pitcher and another bullpen arm are the two main needs right now for kenny to go out and acquire and he might be able to shoot both those needs down with one team and get garcia and guardado atleast I hope so.
  14. Best overall player is arod. Vlad is an overrated defender.
  15. Hey, gonzalez can't be your pick he's mine. His scouting video just impressed the hell out of me and I really think he has a chance to be special.
  16. I left too. Basically because of the same thing you said. They finally show life in the 9th only to come up short, those games hurt a lot to watch, you get some hope and then its crushed.
  17. I like Brandon Allen and Gonzalez. But especially Gonzalez.
  18. Justin is the name. When I came over to talk to you, the sox were so dead at the time and then we started talking about Garcia and then the usher came by and then I just forgot to ask.
  19. I agree. If contreras gets his head straight he can be dominate. He'd be a good acquisition only if the yanks ate almost all of his salary. By the way it was cool to meet you tonight. I was so angry with the game when I was talking to you I forgot to even ask you your name. :banghead
  20. Cool, I'll probably come over, I'll most likely be in my allstar Loaiza jersey and my sox hat.
  21. I was in the upperdeck basically right over first base. The wave broke out through the whole park it was ridiculous.
  22. I'll be in section 119 row 21.
  23. I just got back from my trips to New York and Boston. My step moms dad lives up in new york so we went down there to visit her parents and then after a couple days took a bus down to Boston. In New York went up to the bronx to see a yanks game, I was pretty disappointed in yankee fans they started doing the wave in the 7th inning of a 1-0 game and it wasn't just a couple people it was the whole stadium. Usually when that stuff happens at the cell it's in a blow out with about half of the people doing so. Besides the yanks game we went in by time square, espn zone, the nba store all that stuff around there it's pretty awesome. Then while walking back we saw Spike Lee. So then we took the bus down to boston, it was my first time down there and bostons a really awesome city. We caught a redsox game at fenway, fenway is an awesome park. Of course at the game there was a huge rain storm. On our way back to chicago at the airport we saw Raef Lafrentz something I'm sure shuf would think was real cool, nobody seemed to recognize him. All in all awesome trip. Of course the one sox game I got to watch was the one where Koch blew it. Koch :fyou :fyou
  24. I've been a huge koch supporter but f*** him. I'm tired of this bulls***, he ruined my whole f***in trip to new york, this ruined my f***ikn day and billy single handedly made this roadtrip a failure when it could have been a great one. f*** YOU BILLY. :fyou :fyou :fyou
  25. There is no way in hell foulke would have resigned. He's on the redsox regardless of that trade last year. I'll take koch and cotts over nothing. Koch has been fine and he'll continue to be fine, he's not an elite closer but he sure as hell isn't one of the worst.
