Brando would you agree Jason Schmidt is probably unrealistic. I'd love to get Jason in a deal but I don't think the giants would be willing to part with him. A pitcher on the giants that might be someone to look at is felix rodriguez he'd be another solid arm in the pen. I completely agree with that statement, that's what me and 406 have been arguing.

I agree with wanting a top of the rotation starter and if he means a playoff proven ace then fine but thats not what he said. If he doesn't think buehrle is an ace thats fine with me but in my opinion I think buehrle can definitely be considered an ace. If he doesn't think so thats fine but no need to call me an idiot because I believe he's an ace, I'm sure there is others who feel the same way I do.

Brando doesn't believe he's an ace, thats fine, thats his opinion. I on the other hand do believe buehrle can be considered an ace. That being said a top of the rotation starter is obviously still the biggest need for the white sox. Adding on to what I said before about the marlins only having 2 lefties in their lineup last year in pierre and castillo(switch hitter) I think another left handed bat could still be very helpful I just don't think it's a pressing need. In order this is what I think the sox need: 1. Top of the rotation starter. 2. Bullpen arm. 3. Left handed bat.

Exactly no matter how much ozzie wants our starting pitchers aren't always going to get through seven. Get one more reliever and the pen should be set. Get to the 8th inning with Marte and Shingo and GAME OVER.

When he was first traded to florida he was put in the setup role, when braden looper was closing so I'm guessing he wouldn't mind not closing again. I wouldn't mind urbina but I think there are other relievers out there I'd prefer.

I'd also love to get Grimsley. One more reliever.

I'll add on more to what I said. Basically I think the sox need another solid reliever. I have no problem keeping shingo as the closer I'd actually would kind of like it. But the sox definitely need one more reliever and if contreras could do the job in the 7th inning, damaso in the 8th and shingo in the 9th that would be awesome. I really believe contreras would be nice out of the bullpen and if the yanks would pick up his contract I would love for the sox to get him.

I really like the idea. With his splitter and his good fastball I think he'd be electric in the pen. Give coop some time with him and he could really be a solid closer. While I like having shingo close but it would be nice to be able to keep him and damaso as set up men.

Koch has never had any movement on his fastball it's always been straight as an arrow. He's actually picked up a little movement on his fastball since he doesn't throw 100 anymore but plain and simple the guy doesn't know how to pitch and always falls behind in the count, so he gets hammered.

No, it's 2-3-2 for the finals. People don't get to excited the lakers will win the next three and win the series.
