Right, I believe the yanks will sign beltran and the mets will go after Maggs and that's probably his only chance to get 14 mill a year.

Unless the yankees or mets sign him he will not be making 14 mill or more next year, imo.

What are you trying to prove?? Maggs never said he's gone once he tests the fa market like you said. He said he was going to test the market, what's wrong with that? A lot of players do that.

Sox-Cubs Series
Then you better be at that game.

Sox-Cubs Series
I believe it's 4.71. Not 5 but definitely close and basically only that high because of one outing.

Olivo
I don't know if shoney prefers sandy too but I know mb does. But I definitely agree with you, Miguel should start every day besides Buehrle's starts.

Frank Thomas All Star
Bob, thats the problem. If your going to make the game count you can't have fan voting you need the best players on the field.

Kobe guarantees win in game 5
Great image, won't ever happen though.

Prior vs Clemens
88 wins, far from a dominate year. They won the division last year in an easy division, this year it isn't an easy division. They have no closer as of right now(but like brando said they could go out and acquire someone) their starting pitching is awesome but clement will definitely cool down and maddux isn't great anymore, still solid not great. There is offense is worse then last year because they don't have a true leadoff man. Lofton is what made their offense click last year and they don't have that this year. Can the cubs make the playoffs and win the world series sure but is it a lock, far from it. If the cards continue to have solid starting pitching they are probably a better team then the cubs and I think the astros are also better. The thing with the cubs is they're going to have to get to the playoffs if they do get in thats when they'll scare me because they have the starting pitching to matchup with anyone.

Nuke you always bring the best images. I miss the batting tee.

Greatness resides in Chi town baby.....
Best team ever esembled and any one that thinks the lakers from 99-02 are better, well they no nothing about basketball. The bulls would have kicked that teams ass. Speaking of that team, it wasn't the 96 championship but the 97 one, do you guys remember that speech steve kerr made during the parade. Probably one of the funniest speeches I've ever heard. Steve Kerr was da man.

Nope, I'm terrible with computers and not an artistic person(bad combo to make a sig) it was goldmember who made this kick ass sig.

Frank Thomas All Star
Correct, no dh in nl parks for the allstar game. There should be no fan voting it's ridiculous that nomar and corky are in as of right now. If frank doesn't make it, it will be a shame.

Kobe guarantees win in game 5
Not a laker fan and definitely not a troll, I just have a gut feeling they'll win the next three.

Gammons: Catcher and 3rd Base
No trading Olivo, period. I took the comment about kw as he's such an aggressive gm that he probably tries to push the other gm's so much and if he can't get a trade done, nobody else will.

I'll guarantee a lakers win in the series.

Brando would you agree Jason Schmidt is probably unrealistic. I'd love to get Jason in a deal but I don't think the giants would be willing to part with him. A pitcher on the giants that might be someone to look at is felix rodriguez he'd be another solid arm in the pen. I completely agree with that statement, that's what me and 406 have been arguing.

Brandon McCarthy and Thomas Brice All Stars
Congrats to both bmac and Brice. I wonder if bmac is ready to become the sox 5th starter.

Go after Ugueth Urbina???
I agree with wanting a top of the rotation starter and if he means a playoff proven ace then fine but thats not what he said. If he doesn't think buehrle is an ace thats fine with me but in my opinion I think buehrle can definitely be considered an ace. If he doesn't think so thats fine but no need to call me an idiot because I believe he's an ace, I'm sure there is others who feel the same way I do.

Go after Ugueth Urbina???
:headshake That's great brando I have a different opinion then you so I'm an idiot.

Go after Ugueth Urbina???
Brando doesn't believe he's an ace, thats fine, thats his opinion. I on the other hand do believe buehrle can be considered an ace. That being said a top of the rotation starter is obviously still the biggest need for the white sox. Adding on to what I said before about the marlins only having 2 lefties in their lineup last year in pierre and castillo(switch hitter) I think another left handed bat could still be very helpful I just don't think it's a pressing need. In order this is what I think the sox need: 1. Top of the rotation starter. 2. Bullpen arm. 3. Left handed bat.

Go after Ugueth Urbina???
Brando, just wondering how many left handed bats florida had in their lineup last year?

I second that.
