QUOTE (Brian @ May 19, 2015 -> 05:34 PM) This is how I feel. He just comes off as uninterested. He was always on way too late for me growing up so I never watched until he went to CBS. He's still bitter about Leno getting Tonight Show but judging by ratings, NBC made the right decision. P.S. The new guy after Letterman, Corbin?, is awful. CBS has to have buyers remorse. Agreed on Corbin. He had my Pitch Perfect girls on last week so I gave it a shot and not even Anna's cuteness could help him. As far as late night in general, I'll still watch Conan every night that there's not a sporting event on I'm watching.
  3. I'm sure they started scouting him when things were going pretty bad around here. Jeff's not going anywhere.
  4. I think I start to root for the Cubs more and more each time I read this thread.
  5. QUOTE (ronkark @ May 18, 2015 -> 11:32 PM) Huge hit by Carlos and huge baserunning move by dirtbag. And Sale was stones. BUT... what the heck is the with continued ineptitude in execution and playcalling with regards to bunting and smallball. NO way should Ramirez have been swinging in that situation, and it almost cost them. And Tyler and Conor have both been up there in similar situations and it's been the same thing. cleveland played it like was gonna be a bunt becaue IT SHOULD HAVE been. Why rely on 3 big hits when it could be just one. Small ball people. Small ball. Also how much are we paying Vince Coleman per steal because last in the league and 7/18 in steals is a joke. No reason to stop being aggressive. anywho, whatever, six in a row. keep it going and stir it up! Alexei bunting is never a good idea.
  6. Ambrose-Rollins at the chamber too. That card is shaping up to be uber fun.
  7. QUOTE (Brian @ May 18, 2015 -> 08:15 PM) Kozlov was awful. Rusev is F'n good if you ask me. No way he gets buried. Rusev is a great pro wrestler. His character is killed right now but he'll fight his way back. And Owens absolutely killed that segment. Fantastic stuff.
  8. You guys leave Pitch Perfect alone.
  9. The Warriors only lose 1 more game this post season. Write that down.
  10. Hope I'm wrong but I have no faith that he sustains this.
  11. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ May 17, 2015 -> 01:12 PM) Well, the team needs a glove AND a bat or two, but Micah's D needs to be at a higher level or he can't play in the middle infield. But this IS a compromise, because Carlos has a very limited offensive upside. The offense will be fine in the long run no matter who is at 2b, I couldn't/can't say the same thing about the defense.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 17, 2015 -> 11:50 AM) Christopher Kamka ‏@ckamka 23m23 minutes ago Adam Eaton: 10-23, 6 Runs, 2 Walks during current 5-game hit streak 3 retweets 6 favorites This is going to be the Mark Buehrle is not an ace thread of this season.
  13. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ May 16, 2015 -> 11:26 PM) But then you watch Sanchez play late inning D tonight and go "Damn!!!". Dude belongs. This team needs a glove that's why I wanted Sanchez starting from the beginning. Nothing against Micah but Carlos is a better fit for this particular team imo.
  14. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ May 17, 2015 -> 06:43 AM) There are still only three hitters hitting near or above expectations, and one of those is Beckham who isn't playing every day. Abreu is going to get better too.
  15. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ May 16, 2015 -> 11:49 PM) Anyone else worried about Robertson? He doesn't seem nearly as sharp lately. Also can't have Shark throw his standard 50 pitches through 2 innings tomorrow, we need our starters to go long into games without an off-day the rest of the month. No. He was going to regress at some point. Absolutely nothing to worry about.
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 16, 2015 -> 12:21 PM) It won't be anything close to that bad, imo. The Spurs played at a level in games 3, 4 and 5 that we've never seen before. Last year's Heat was made up of LeBron and a lot of old/crusty vets. In Mozgov, Thompson, Smith, Shumpert and hopefully a healthy Kyrie, there's plenty of youth/athleticism to go around. With a healthy Love, i'd say their chances would be a legit 50%. As it stands now, it's probably like 35-40% unless LeBron goes witness mode. Might be worse.
  17. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 16, 2015 -> 12:51 AM) The Warriors are the only hope for LeBron not to win a championship this year. They'll do to the Cavs what the Spurs did to them(LeBron) last year. Wont be a series.
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ May 15, 2015 -> 08:39 PM) Well that was a fun finish. Like I told you, I really wanted the Wiz to win that series but God I hate Paul Pierce.
  19. QUOTE (Wanne @ May 15, 2015 -> 05:33 PM) Chip Hale has seen enough...he's out of the closer role. Ya obviously Davidson has been a bust but the idea to trade Reed for an organizational weakness was still the right one imo.
  20. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 15, 2015 -> 11:38 AM) This was a championship caliber team if healthy. It didn't play like one though late and obviously we missed Pau during the season. The problem is "if healthy" becomes a pretty big caveat given some of the long-term health issues some of these guys have sustained. To me the biggest thing this team was missing was a true point guard. Aaron Brooks is hot garbage (as anything other then a guy you bring in when you need someone to jack up shots and see if he is hot...when he isn't on fire, he is absolutely worthless) and clearly Hinrich is past his prime. Rose you are stuck with and you have to hope that this postseason gave him confidence (even though he finished week) in his knee and he'll finally have an off-season where he can think about basketball and making improvements, which should be huge. Niko will get better and the team will have MLE money to add a quality player which should make us better. Completely disagree that they were a championship roster if healthy. That said, I know we're most likely stuck with this core group for a few more years but we're not going to win a championship or beat LeBron with it.
  21. QUOTE (Jake @ May 14, 2015 -> 11:36 PM) I don't think the Bulls should make many changes to the roster. They had the better team and this is why I feel like a coaching shakeup is justified. The main way you would argue against the coaching change and/or for a roster shakeup is if there are a bunch of guys who would be bad on any other team, but Thibs just happens to make them good players This is NOT a championship roster. Thibs deserves his fair share of the blame but this roster can't win a championship. Changes need to be made.
