  1. When the hell is this MRI? I got a feeling the Bulls know it's a torn acl and are just working on a way to release the results if that makes sense.
  2. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 23, 2013 -> 01:13 AM) I was going to write this odd introspective post about 15k posts, 11 years and all of the strange ideas that go on in my head and give real insight into the person behind the screen. Then I read about Rose and I seriously got sad. So I know it wont mean anything, because I dont really believe in anything, but I just want Rose to be okay. Its been a long strange trip and I do appreciate all of you who have interacted with me over the last decade. I am sorry if my online personality can be standoffish. Wow, you've been here longer than me? Didn't think there were too many of you!
  3. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Nov 23, 2013 -> 01:03 AM) I don't know how Rose will take this psychology. He didn't even get to play a quarter of a season and he tears his other ACL?? What are the chances. That would kill me emotionally You either crawl into a ball and die or you fight back harder than ever.
  4. QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 23, 2013 -> 12:40 AM) There is somebody who knows. The trainer on site is the best diagnostic tool for the ACL. They can manipulate the knee in such a way that there is little doubt. In my experience, trainers miss the diagnosis less often than MRI (swelling is often a confounding factor in both cases, but moreso with MRI since trainers can examine the player before the swelling sets in) Will Carroll tweeted that the early tests are showing torn acl, MRI to confirm. And then we all weep together.
  5. QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 23, 2013 -> 12:13 AM) With that said, there is little reason to think this franchise will be a contender in the future if Derrick goes down. You're pretty much just gonna be waiting for his contract to expire if this is another ACL at which point you can start really building again You'd have to "throw" this season but no chance that happens. Basketball hell for sure.
  6. So now we can start the Deng trade rumors...
  7. "Non contact injury" uh oh...
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 11:36 PM) The good news is that if the Bulls don't make the playoffs, the NBA will make sure they get the first pick so they can take Jabari. Hopefully it is nothing too serious for Rose. They'll make the playoffs even if Derrick doesn't play another game and that's just the worst possible scenario.
  9. I don't want to overreact yet but if Derrick is dead, we're about to enter basketball hell.
  10. Why is Derrick so damn broken?!?
  11. Derrick is definitely getting closer. Still has some kinks to work out but he's getting there.
  12. QUOTE (GREEDY @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 07:01 PM) I got to thinking that the Tigers have to be interested in Headley now.... That trade opened third back up for Castellanos, don't think they'll make a trade there.
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 11:44 AM) B.S. I'm pretty sure you posted Jimmy's PER after his first month and it was like 15.4. Then we stopped caring because that team had like 5 wings on it. SG/SF was way more stocked with jimmy's first year than Snells. The wings on the 2011-2012 team were Hamilton who played 28 games, Ronnie Brewer, Deng and Korver. Right now they're Butler, Deng and Dunleavy(I won't count Kirk for now) how is that way more loaded? When you figure into account that Rip was hurt all season it certainly looks like we're currently better at the wing. Snell is a work in progress but he's no further behind than Butler was at this point.
  14. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 07:23 AM) I read that, and as bad as that is, I wasn't even surprised because I've just assumed stuff like that happens on every significant college campus when it comes to athletes. Ya that was basically my reaction as well.
  15. That's crazy dude. Keep us updated when the f***er is caught.
  16. That got ugly real quick. Lu has had a rough night to say the least.
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 10:39 PM) He looks like a hairy woman. I laughed. Jo is more active tonight which is great to see as well.
  18. Fournier is f***in annoying.
  19. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 10:30 PM) Derrick looks amazing... And he's getting zero help from anyone else. Been waiting for this for 19 months.
  20. Random thought of the night: every member of our starting lineup tonight went to at least one final four, I wonder how much that happens now a days?
  21. Derrick going to the hoop easier tonight than he has at any point this season. Let's see if that can continue the rest of the night.
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 06:13 PM) He campaigned for the HOF. Frank will get in. The only question will be if he is first ballot. Some will hold the DH against him, lthough it has now been a position for 40 years. Campaigning can also make some voters make him wait. Some voters also won't vote him on the first ballot because they're just stubborn about voting some people on the first ballot. He certainly belongs in and should be there on the first ballot but it wouldn't shock me if he gets snubbed the first time.
  23. QUOTE (ptatc @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 04:09 PM) Newton vs TB and Revis or Flacco vs the Jets. I've got T. Smith for a Flex. Gotta go Cam. QUOTE (staxx @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 07:11 PM) i'd go with newton. flacco blows. but this is a close one even against advice, im going with Ryan tonight... i have a gut feeling for some reason. i'm probably wrong. JACKASS!! Haha hope it works out for you.
  24. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 03:47 PM) There's a bit of Mutombo to his game. Not a lot of touch, but his presence around the hoop really makes you think twice about coming in. Mutombo was bigger, but Davis is sick. He's a lot more skilled than Dikembe ever was. And that's actually a very good question J4L, I really don't have a good answer for you right now. I LOVE Wiggins upside but I also think he has a lower floor than Davis(yes I'm still assuming Wiggins is the number 1 pick), that's a really tough call.
  25. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 01:19 PM) Apparently 19 months just wasn't enough time... Derrick Rose (toe) admitted that his turf toe injury from 2012 is still bothering him. We should just throw him out there in a full body cast.
