Top Prospects List, Offseason
Those are probably the same top ten I'd have just different order. First time in a while that I don't want to vomit looking at our ten.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 12, 2012 -> 08:16 PM) It is early and they are facing crappy teams, but I had forgotten it what it was like to actually see Illinois score points. Hey SIU scored 42 Pts in the 1st half tonight, it's the small victories.

4 Sox players are on the trading block
QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Nov 9, 2012 -> 09:23 AM) Seriously? He's average to below average in CF. He's 28. That's not young. I'm not sure what's wrong with any of those statements. I was responding to a post stating, "I don't know why you'd move De Aza." I like De Aza, but I'd move him in a second if we had an impact player to replace him. Who cares if he's not 23, he's right in the prime of his career right now and he's cost controlled for a while. He's a very solid player and it's not going to be easy to replace him at a relatively low cost. It makes 0 sense to trade him unless you're getting a good haul back in return.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Nov 9, 2012 -> 08:39 AM) Season starts tonight! I'm somewhat worried about the frontcourt for the first part of the season, what with Elston being out til mid-December with a torn meniscus and Jurkin and Mosquera-Parea suspended for the first 9 games (first game back would be December 15th against Butler, so they'd miss North Carolina and the Legends Classic). Probably going to see some unconventional lineups in games, with Hollowell and Sheehey getting time at the 4, and Jeff Howard actually playing meaningful minutes. Even without them though, that wouldn't be an excuse in an of itself for losing any of these games, including UNC or UCLA/Georgetown. UCLA is the most intriguing team in the country to me this year, their floor is so low and their ceiling is so high imo.

QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 8, 2012 -> 11:09 AM) ESPN doing their 24 hour thing? It's next week but there is actually some decent games on tv tonight. Anyways, always fun to have to root for your conference because your team sucks, so Go Valley! Creighton has to deal with Tony Mitchell tonight so that's a good test for their defense(which was horrible last year) right from the get go. SIU opens on Monday so the pain starts than.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Nov 8, 2012 -> 12:03 AM) Apparently a Boy Meets World is in the works that would make Corey and Dapanga(sp?) the parents and Ben Savage and whoever played the actress are both willing to reprise their roles. I guess Corey will be a teacher and his daughter will be in his class. It probably will be horrible but I do miss that show. Your spelling of Topanga actually offended me. I'm pretty pumped for this too, hopefully it wont be too terrible. Shawn definitely needs to be in it, Eric too as he was definitely one of the highlights of the show in its last few seasons. Should be interesting...

Is Scrubs even in syndication anymore? It used to be everywhere now I never see it. I took a few years off from watching it because I saw every episode like 100 times but lately I've definitely been wanting to watch it again.

QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 08:08 PM) I can't believe Bulls are losing to the Magic. The Magic lineup is terrible. It's really one of the worst rosters I've seen in a while. Gross. Pretty empty here at the UC tonight too.

White Sox Re-Sign Jake Peavy
QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 11:35 AM) Please stop. This is not absolute fact but merely opinion that cannot be universally applied to all batters in all slots. If your eyes told you that Adam Dunn helped the team more than he hurt it this year then that's your opinion. My opinion is that he, along with a few other hitters, killed us. He hurt us the most because he placed an unfeared, auto-out in between our stack of good hitters. Just because he hit 41 pitches hard this year does not discount the other 1500 that fooled him. Stats aside I'd rate the offense like this: DeAza- tough out Youk- tough out Dunn- easy out PK- tough out Rios- tough out AJ- tough out Tank- easy out Alexei- easy out Jimmy- easy out IMO Dunn was the biggest problem. The problem with your opinion is that it's just completely wrong.

The First Annual Steve9347 b**** about your Fantasy Teams here
So I won my confidence pool this week via a tiebreaker. My only 2 losses were picking the Browns and Jags...what? 2nd week I've won this year. Anywho, I put $202 dollars into football this year(1 fantasy league and 1 confidence pool) and have made $260 back so far. SUCCESS.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Nov 4, 2012 -> 10:37 AM) Plus pollsters will try to compare the schedules of common opponents. They will see that Oregon beat Arizona 49-0 and that Arizona lost by 6 to Stanford who lost in OT to ND. Also that Oregon beat Washington by 31 and Washington beat Stanford. Nobody is going to look at that. That's absurd.

Well I can't stand ND but I agree with Kev for the most part. Their resume will be just as good as Oregon's but the good ol eye test will be the difference there and what gets Oregon in over them if that's what it comes down to.
