  1. QUOTE(fathom @ May 18, 2007 -> 07:59 PM) I can't fathom how anyone would say the Cubs games don't mean s***. I hate those f***ers so much. It's one game. These games honestly don't mean any more or any less to me than a game against the Devil Rays, and yes I'm 100 percent serious. Obviously others feel differently but that's how I feel at least. Hate all you want.
  2. QUOTE(Brian @ May 18, 2007 -> 07:44 PM) I refuse to go to games between the Sox and Cubs anymore. Both sides have idiot fans who come out of the woodwork and I refuse to deal with any of them. Can be said for every sports team/franchise/whatever and it's the truth.
  3. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 18, 2007 -> 07:29 PM) Wait a few seasons and you'll have reason to be jealous of Detroit and Clevelands pitching staffs as well. Well for now they're all jealous of our ring.
  4. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 18, 2007 -> 07:32 PM) I was at this game. First of all, the Cub fans who where there should be ashamed of how they acted after that game. I had one lady throw a beer at me, walking on shefield. This behavior wasnt isolated to one or 2 fans. It was a lot of cub fans targetting a couple of groups around me. I had another couple come up and the guy wanted to fight me, all because I was wearing a sox shirt and hat. I was with a group from work, and the sox fans were targeted. It was almost dangerous how intoxicated and agitated some of their fans were. Should have nailed one of 'em. I know it's not the classy thing to do, but it would have been awesome.
  5. This game isn't on Ozzie.
  6. People really need to stop being so damn sensitive about everything, it's ridiculous.
  7. Buzz. Lets not have a repeat performance of last year, Mark.
  8. Ya, that's disgusting.
  9. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 18, 2007 -> 11:39 AM) Most of our fans voted division rivals, but because that was divided among 3 teams, the Cubs came out on top. Ya, ya you know what I meant.
  10. I voted the Twins just because over the last 4-5 years they've been the team that's kicked our ass in the division for the most part. But ya, I don't think anyone should be surprised that most of our fans voted for the Cubs.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 18, 2007 -> 11:26 AM) You know what I meant. But let's rephrase: Ozzie protects his good players, and his hardworking players. We all know the work ethic of those two players and Brandon certainly had nothing to do with us making the playoffs in 05. As for this, if North was being a douche then I have absolutely no problem with Ozzie going off on him.
  12. I'll side with Ozzie on this one. I'll say that I'd rather someone make a spot start, hell you could send down Terrero and then when Jimmy comes back on Monday you can just get rid of whoever is called up(if JT is ready). But, if we're going from the current roster, I'd rather have Jose pitch than Danks.
  13. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 17, 2007 -> 11:01 PM) Kirk shot badly. He didn't play badly. He had 11 assists, and I know everyone will argue that he did nothing in the 2nd half, but who did on the Bulls? He played really good defense, got some penetration, and passed the ball well. 2 turnovers in 40+ minutes. Tyrus had 3 in like 15 minutes. I really hope we could package Gordon and Noc for a low post threat. Kirk and Thabo are going to make 1 helluva backcourt combo. One of the best defensive backcourts for sure. I love Kirk normally but the guy was just too unselfish tonight. When he gets to the hoop he's got to go up and either try to finish or draw the foul. He did dribble too much tonight and he also just passed up too many good looks to kick it out for no reason. I still want to know where Thabo was in the 2nd half.
  14. QUOTE(RME JICO @ May 17, 2007 -> 10:48 PM) I took and average of their last 3 full seasons and rounded to an even number. Most were around 500 - 475. Ahh, gracias.
  15. QUOTE(RME JICO @ May 17, 2007 -> 10:42 PM) This is what each player would have to hit the remainder of the season to get to their career averages: DIF Career Needed Konerko +90 (.281) .316 Dye +69 (.275) .300 Iguchi +58 (.274) .288 Crede +58 (.258) .278 Pierzynski +42 (.286) .299 Uribe +12 (.257) .260 Those numbers seem very reasonable and attainable. Just kind of curious on how many ab's you based those on? Anyways, even if most of our guys don't get to their career averages(some surely will), these guys will all hit better than they're hitting now. All of them.
  16. QUOTE(Brian @ May 17, 2007 -> 10:37 PM) The Prince board over Deng in the 4th pissed me off cuz Loul could of easily boxed him out but instead tried to out jump him. There was a lot of crap like that tonight. Detroit is the better team but we lost this game because we got outhustled and honestly they just seemed to want it more. So f***in disappointing.
  17. Usually I'm just sad when one of my teams seasons comes to the end, but I'm just pissed off about this one. Someone teach these guys to box out or go to the f***in hoop. Hinrich sucked, hurt back or not Ben Wallace was absolute s*** and why the f*** didn't Thabo play in the 2nd half? f*** this.
  18. That a way, Robert. I love games like this.
  19. Finish 'em off, Robert.
  20. QUOTE(PlunketChris @ May 17, 2007 -> 03:36 PM) do we have a new "hawkism" wit hthe "throw it through a teacup to get a strike" or did have I missed that one the past 10 years of listening to him? You've missed it for the last 10 years.
  21. Fantastic job by Jon, lets shut it down pen.
