Curse of the Widge!!!
QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 7, 2007 -> 04:44 PM) The day of his release should really be in your sig as the worst day of your life. I don't remember the exact date because I've tried to block that terrible day from my memory.

Clemens back to the Yankees
Expect an era over 4. Still very good, and he'll help that team out but I hope nobody is expecting out of him what he did in Houston, that's not happening.

Possible Crede suitor?
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 7, 2007 -> 05:20 AM) right now we are at .500, unless we fall below that I dont think the whitesox will be trading any of the starters on the majorleague team. Correct. This team isn't going to be selling anyone off, anytime soon.

De La Hoya/Mayweather
I wouldn't have argued the decision either way on this fight. Yes, statistically it seemed like De Le Hoya basically got owned but that's not what you saw when you watched the fight. Oscar did control that fight from start to finish, Mayweather was defensive and didn't do much in his own right. Neither guy hurt the other that much to be perfectly honest and Floyd basically did nothing the whole fight except sit on the ropes. I was waiting for him to try and go for the kill in the later rounds but he did nothing. I enjoyed the fight and certainly can't argue the decision, but I definitely think it could have went Oscar's way as well. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 6, 2007 -> 07:13 PM) And you wanna talk about weak punches? Mayweather stood there and took about 8 shots in the kidney from De la Hoya and smiled. Didn't f***ing flinch. Clearly you are a De la Hoya supporter. Plenty of boxers have done that before, even when they're getting hurt.

Possible Crede suitor?
Not a fan of giving up Joe this season unless we're getting someone back who could play 3rd right away.

QUOTE(Soxy @ May 6, 2007 -> 01:14 PM) Then, after dinner, we went and saw Hot Fuzz. I love Shaun of the Dead and British humor in general, and I really enjoyed this movie. I definitely laughed my butt off. I would recommend it, it's a tad long, but definitely still awesome. Definitely too long imo. I thought it was entertaining but not hilarious, I did enjoy it though. Saw Spiderman on Friday. Overall, I thought it was pretty damn good, hated the ending though.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ May 4, 2007 -> 08:57 AM) Oh, I'm sorry, why don't you point me to the other thread that has Ross Gload in the title? Oh wait, I guess I'm supposed to sift through 250 posts in some outfield thread to find something on Gload, when the search function is disabled. Get a life! There's a Ross Gload thread 3 threads below this.

Official 2006-2007 NBA Discussion Thread
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 4, 2007 -> 12:26 AM) Are the Pacers fans still glad they made that trade and got rid of Jackson? 7 for 8 from downtown, a 1 man wrecking crew during the fatal run. At least they have a better group of character guys due to the 8 player rapeage....errr deal. Are you going to make some smart ass comment everytime he plays a good game? That'll get old quick.

Ashlee Simpson did not have surgery
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ May 3, 2007 -> 06:46 PM) Maybe it's just a bad picture, but she just doesn't look that hot on the right, and I generally like blondes over brunettes. Really weird. Jessica is smoking though Agreed. Jessica used to be hot as hell, she lost something though.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 4, 2007 -> 05:07 AM) besides the fight scene at the end, which was amazing, the movie was just alright. It is better than the 2nd but not the first. I really hope this isnt the end of the whole series though, I want more spiderman action! Didn't Tobey say this was his last one?

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 3, 2007 -> 09:16 AM) Spiderman's definitely been my favorite of this whole comic book genre of movies. I absolutely love the Spiderman's and XMen's. Judging by the responses, it seems like we're in the minority here, which I'm pretty surprised at.

I'm one of the bigger Gload fans out there, but that trade was a tremendous one.
