  1. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 09:28 PM) You can admit two things though. 1.) Pitching was a bigger reason why we won in 2005. 2.)Pods was ass in the second half (only to hit out of his mind in the postseason -- he'll always be loved for that). 1. You know I'm all about pitching, pitching is what wins in baseball, OF COURSE it was more important than Pods or the offense or whatever you want to say, that's obvious and I'd never ever say otherwise. 2. Once again, he was bad in the 2nd half in 05 but I will also say that this team has been much better with him in the lineup than with out him in his time here. You know unlike you and a lot of others that I actually like "prototype" leadoff hitters and Pods was that guy for a good deal of 05. Now, I'm sure by now that everyone knows that I don't think Pods is the answer but the guy was huge in 05. I still think a kind of underrated moment of the whole 05 postseason was just Pods getting on base to start off the whole thing. Clement threw over like a billion times and next thing you know, he completely imploded, that was a pretty big thing imo considering how for the most part that team was inexperienced in the post season.
  2. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 09:23 PM) If you look at the 05 season, the only 2 good months that they actually had a decent offense where the times that Thomas was in some protection for the middle of the lineup. The minute he left, the offense went in the pooper. Pods was a non factor in the 2nd half. Pods helped out in the first 2 months when the big guys were not hitting at all. But after that, its a wash. People can throw all the stats in the world at me, but we would NOT have won the world series if we "substituted" Lee for Pods in left.
  3. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 09:17 PM) According to Ed, JD just hit one 9423 feet. That's how it looked on gameday.
  4. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 09:04 PM) OT: What's the Bulls/Heat score? My direct tv is out for some reason. Bulls down 4 at the end of 3, made a nice run to get back into it at the end of that quarter.
  5. I still don't have any faith that he's returning, but I better be wrong or it's going to be a sad, sad day.
  6. Those numbers will start to average out soon enough. The guy's a good pitcher at 24, splits be damned.
  7. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 12:42 PM) Having MJ accidentally bump into recruits is a nice thing. Although sending Shavlik Randolph a picture of MJ wearing a "Shav country" T-Shirt didn't seem to help UNC. I think in the long run it did.
  8. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 12:44 PM) Keep your drunk text messages with Steve lol, I'm sorry. I just got done texting someone else and your name was right below, so there you go.
  9. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 02:50 AM) Ya, I'm not sure what this was about. I guess I posted that cause last night was a fun night, maybe? I'm a moron though.
  10. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 04:08 PM) Just another reason to hate Michael Vick. That whole family appears to be pretty f***ed up. What a douche. QUOTE(Top Notch @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 04:31 PM) Was it wrong of me to immediately think of Marcus Vick when I heard of a murder on Virginia Tech's campus on the morning of 15th? Wrong or not, I think a lot of people thought of him right away.
  11. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 07:04 PM) If the guy wasnt on the Red Sox, many of you would have a different opinion, and thats ok. Not true. Schilling is one of the reason I despise the Red Sox at the moment.
  12. QUOTE(Top Notch @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 03:02 PM) Give the guy some respect. He doesn't deserve any.
  13. I didn't even think twice about the thing, cause I didn't care enough to. I would admit, it'd be pretty funny if it was indeed fake, cause I can't stand Schilling.
  14. QUOTE(So ILL @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:17 PM) I live in Carbondale, which most of you should know is 350 miles from Chicago. My home cannot receive a satellite signal at all because of all the trees. Mediacom cable does not have comcast or mlb. But I am blacked out of Sox games. Mlbtv.com says there is nothing they can do. What can I do? Do I need to trade IP addresses with someone in Florida??? Just to give them money??? Welcome to my world. I've been trying to figure something out for 2 years now, and nothing right now. I can't think of a reason why Carbondale is blacked out for Sox games, it makes absolutely 0 sense.
  15. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 11:12 PM) Blooooooooons. LOL, you owe me a few days of my life back.
  16. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 10:59 PM) Which online site? Not sure. He just texted me earlier today to tell me about it. I taught him to play poker way back in the day, I think I should get some of the winnings, but that's just me.
  17. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:22 PM) I believe that was Jeff Brantley, unless Phillips actually said it as well. I thought he wasn't that much of a moron. Ya, it was Brantley.
  18. So my step brother won over 6 grand last night playing online poker.
  19. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 02:05 AM) Cleveland 10 7 .588 - Chicago Sox 11 8 .579 - ... not yet Well we are tied for first, we're just percentage points behind. Almost there.
