  1. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Nov 15, 2006 -> 01:44 PM) I haven't seen a full commercial yet because I have to vomit everytime Redick is on the TV.
  2. QUOTE(klaus kinski @ Nov 15, 2006 -> 01:25 PM) Sign Pierre-keep BA as 4th OF and late inning defense You want to sign Pierre for 10 mill a year?
  3. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Nov 15, 2006 -> 02:05 AM) Well I think the Rangers hitting coach had a much larger effect on him than Michael Young and the Cubs have a pretty generous hitting park as well. And if he can remain his mechanics from last season he should be fine. I disagree with this big time. Derosa basically mimicked every move of Young's at the plate, Michael had a huge effect on hm.

My step brother has a small army going to get him like 8 of these thursday night. He's just selling them as well, and he's going to cut me in on some of the profit, yay me.
  5. Well during the Gonzaga game I got to hear my very first OH FENSE of the year, that was nice.
  6. Bumpity bump. Game comes out on Monday and I will be getting it on Monday. I honestly can not wait as I absolutely love this franchise. I actually just downloaded all the player rankings so if anyone wants to know any just ask. This is the link I got 'em from http://2ksports.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98101 . Problem is that you have to be registered with the other forum to download. Anyone else excited for this game or am I the only one ?
  7. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Nov 15, 2006 -> 12:17 AM) Now if you say Eva Mendes, that is one seriously HOTT lady. Sharp as a beach ball, but hot nonetheless. Eva Longoria>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Eva Mendes.
  8. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 11:35 PM) Well they covered the 10, so I'm happy Sad part?? Part of why I told you this game would not be won, no way, by UNI, is I figured the best UNI could do is keep it really close, then see the refs do that to them late. Not a surprise to me at all. Well UNI played like crap for a while in the 2nd half as well, the refs helped but UNI seemingly forgot how to catch a rebound. UNI is going to have a solid season but Washington is just lucky that they didn't play one of the top 4 valley teams.
  9. LOL, the last 5 minutes of this game was just horribly officiated, yeesh. Good effort Panthers, couldn't beat the Huskies and the refs.
  10. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 11:28 PM) Welcome to NCAA Basketball, pre March. They do all they can to help the big dawgs (haha, get it? :|) from November through February, then in March, help out the mid majors at all costs. I love it. It's just ridiculous. It's been a very physical game all day long and all the sudden they just start calling touch fouls which makes UNI lose one of their best players. Washington is going to win this game because of it. Kind of sucks but oh well.
  11. The refs are seriously taking this game out of UNI's hands. Calling a lot of touch fouls on UNI which got Washington in the bonus with like 9 minutes to go. Now they call a touch foul on Coleman that gets him fouled out of the game. Wow. UNI can't move at the moment.
  12. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 10:44 PM) Speaking of that, Butler does begin with a B. I think were onto something here. Bucknell Bison, Bradley Braves, Butler Bulldogs. Perfect.
  13. UNI-Washington about to start. GO PANTHERS!!!!
  14. My wishlist is going to include: a Bmac/Anderson jersey, a Phillip Rivers powder blue jersey and money. I have no clue what I'm getting anyone else yet, I'll buy those gifts in late December some time.
  15. I'm interested to see how he does with out Michael Young now, as he seemed to have imitated every move Young made at the plate.
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 02:48 PM) I disagree about the couldn't have played worse part. We had an amazing year from Jermaine Dye, had about as good of health as a team can have for an entire season, and the American League is getting stronger with each passing day. If we stick with the team we had last year, we're just as likely to finish 4th in the division as we are first. So Dye had a fantastic year, he's really the only player on the team that regression cant be expected out of and it shouldn't be that much. Everyone single one of our starters underachieved and we got absolutely no production out of our leadoff hitter. For the talent we had, we really couldn't have played much worse.
  17. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 01:28 AM) Oh no! There appears to be some controversy, or at least some shoddy reporting. Kevin Towers for teh win?! This is bull, Kenny won this damn thing.
  18. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 01:07 AM) Relax guys, Kenny won the bowling. I knew Kenny was the best gm in the league.
  19. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 12:57 AM) Pitching is what wins in this game. Its the formula that keeps on getitng teams to the postseason and to the world series. Why do we think that Boston just paid eleventy billion dollars just to pay a Japanese pitcher a kings ransom. Pitching is at a premium. If we can spin Vaz or Garcia off and get someone like Pelfrey to mix up with Bmac it will help our team more in the long run than having a guy who will become a lift and pull powerhitter the minute he comes here. Like I said before, I dont and wouldn't want to trade Mac or Pelfrey for anything if we did indeed get Mike. I'm just saying Carl is a different player then we have/had, that's why people want him. That's all.
  20. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 12:55 AM) I think you guys are over-rating Chris Paul a bit. He is really good... but I wouldnt go out and say that Deron Williams has no chance to be as good if maybe not better. Chris Paul is honestly stud, I highly doubt Deron is ever going to be as good as him. This coming from a guy who hates Paul(stemming from his college days).
  21. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 12:47 AM) Vermont isn't a bad team, although there is no denying it was a really bad loss for Boston College. Still, it is definitly a wake up call. No longer do you have the ACC player of the year in Craig Smith, no longer do you have Luis Hinnant, and when you add McClain and Williams to that inactive list your roster becomes mighty thin. Dudley played all 40 minutes, only six players saw legit time. Again, it was a horrible loss, but there isn't a doubt in my mind they'll bounce back. Vermont will most likely win the AEast(them or the Great Danes), they're not a bad team at all. Still, obviously a game you got to win at home.
  22. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 12:49 AM) How many years have we had rediculus offense, and then we trotted the likes of Felix Diaz, and company out there. I would rather stock up on pitching, and just go easy on the bat in LF. Everyone looks at Carl and drools, but we all need to remember what happens to players when they come here. I dont care how they hit before, the minute the come into the homerdome they forget everything they have learned, and just lift and pull. Carl will become power Carl, and we will see less and less of his speed. You will just have another power guy in a lineup of powerguys. Bmac and Pelfrey with our current offense > Pelfry and current offense + Carl. Hell we might as well just kept Mags, Carlos Lee, and just stayed the good ol softball team we have been for years. Well to be fair, Crawford is a different type of player and I believe that's the reason every wants him. He's a young player with ridiculous potential and is a solid leadoff hitter already. I agree with your main point though, to have two guys like Pelfrey and Mac in the rotation starting in 08 is just invaluable to a franchise.
  23. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 12:34 AM) What if Pelfrey was now in the Sox system, and Mac was dealt for Crawford? I still wouldn't be a happy person. It'd ease the pain a bit if we got Pelfrey and I do love Carl but to me being able to pair Pelfrey and Brandon in the rotation for years to come would just be absolutely huge for this organization. You know how I feel about Brandon and to me trading him is just an absolute mistake at the moment even if we added a Mike Pelfrey type. I want as much good young pitching on this team as possible, not trading it for a position player, even one as good as Crawford.
