  1. 'Pam is the office mattress' Creed saying 'brah' Let's get some Red Bull up in here! And the hair I can do less with some of the relationship stuff though, think the hour was a little long again, maybe 45 minutes
  2. Glavine not returning to the Mets, he had an option and declined. MLB.com article suspects he'll sign back with ATL or retire
  3. QUOTE(SEALgep @ Oct 5, 2007 -> 06:57 PM) It appears Razor was released due to Ozzie wanting a third base coach who is better suited to coaching fundamentals and base running. Sounds fine to me... What's Rickey Henderson doing these days? Playing cards in the Mets clubhouse and being ripped to shreds by NY media, being blamed for the downfall of Jose Reyes
  4. I think he did a good job as 3rd base coach, but it seemed like he didn't get along with people, he probably wanted to manage, as long as you don't bring back Cora, not that hard a job, so not as big a deal to me Bring back Bruce Kimm!
  5. Yeah, they wouldn't, but I would not call him their Michael Jordan. I think they might trade Beltran though.
  6. Damn, I was the only one I knew interested in 'Cavemen' and I missed it, hope it goes on demand. Though I heard it had already gotten bad reviews, they had to revamp the pilot and still got bad reviews, so I was a little less interested (a lot of people who actually watched saying it sucked different then people just hating the idea), but you never know I've been watching a little bit more George Lopez now with Nick/the U shoving it down my throat, not as bad as I thought it was, hot wife and daughter and he wore a Aparicio Sox jersey on the show
  7. I know it's not likely, but he's getting a lot of heat in NY right now, a horrible second half. Looking at the SB #s in September alone, pretty crazy compared to every other month. This is after the fans are real sick of his acts like all the dancing and that sort of stuff. Also sounds like he came from being this big hard worker to now coming off as more lazy. His mental toughness is also being questioned since it seems like he started slumping after Randolph disciplined him about something (not sure what it was). They're grasping for straws at the reasons, including blaming adding Ricky Henderson to the coaching staff. I know it's more of a quick reaction to the collapse, but a lot of the fans calling want him shipped out. They need pitching. Deal with the Sox centering around Garland-Reyes?
  8. That was clear to me live, that he didn't touch home, piece of crap umpire probably just wanted to go home. And you know he knew it, with that hesitation. Too bad they had to ruin a good game like that I thought San Diego should've loaded the bases with another walk, but ouch, shouldn't have been over there
  9. This is brutal, getting World Series champion like coverage. When the Sox division was considered to be bad, the media felt that they should rip on the Sox for that. Seattle, Det, hell, even Toronto would be playoff teams in that league. They were done weeeeeeks ago here. And they still have better records. And even the Mets, as bad as they've been (and Phillies, who were earlier in the year) have a better record. I think KC could actually compete. ESPN.com is sickening, the Phillies in 1st should be a cover story, not some team finally clinching the worst division in baseball on the last weekend of the year because their competition blows, and then treating it like that was the World Series. I saw they quoted the "300 milll' spending amount again, which is a joke, when everyone else is credited with their annual payroll, not the total amount of the full length contracts, but yeah, what a story, they tried to buy a team, and then finally clinched a horrible division after the 300 mill team beat the minor league Reds because they couldn't win and had to prey the s***ty Brewers would lose to a good team
  10. I'm debating getting one for a cell phone, on cell phone forums it actually gets real good reviews, and the samples people have put up on YouTube look pretty good too
  11. This is ESPN broadcast basically feels like I'm watching WGN. Dave O Brien rips on Brewers marketing for the white towels, saying it shows surrender, then they show the clip in Philly where they're doing the same thing and he says 'wow, looks like a frenzy over there!'. Granted the Brewers suck and don't deserve much praise, but even when they were winning, sounded pretty biased. Doesn't help with Sutcliffe in the booth. A drinking game with # of mentions of the Cubs winning tonight will kill a lot of college students. Like the first 100 times plus bottom line and in game updates isn't enough. And anyone who uses the term "cubbies" should be shot. Oooo great, now Sutcliffe asks DOB to repeat the phrase of the Cubs being NL Cent champs. They beat a minor league team tonight, wow, but OBrien uses the term "steamrolled the Reds", congrats on backing into a horrible division
  12. The Reds #3 hitter is Joey Vitto. Now I don't follow the minor leagues but who?? Look at this joke of a lineup http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gameId=270927117 . I do not look forward to these next 2 days when media orgasms after the scrubs beat a minor league team and clinch
  13. QUOTE(SnB @ Sep 27, 2007 -> 11:58 PM) not the best episode, but last season started off slow as well. It takes them some time to get all the storylines back into the swing of things. It'll be fine. Sounds like spring training!
  14. It was okay. More funnier moments earlier on, agree that an hour long episode doesn't look as appealing after the fact
  15. And the sad thing about that Cabrera one was he had the force at 3rd, but he throws to 2nd errr center field instead
  16. What lazy ass defense by the Marlins, that's basically 3 straight DP balls, Cabrera f***s up one throw, can't get to another, one bounces up the middle between two infielders who just look at each other. Meanwhile the Cubs are in full chest-thumping mode. >
  17. Piece of s*** Brewers. I expected the Cubs choking against FLA (a few pages earlier), but man, this thing should at least be tied right now, another f***ing game given up, like that Atlanta game, except it's about the 50th time this year. I don't want to hear Cub fans crying about curses and all that, they are lucky as hell, another division they only win because everyone else absolutely sucks and the media will continue to orgasm like they're actually doing something special, which filters down to all the casual fans who are running around like idiots right now
  18. I might be the only one but I still have some faith, I'm surprisingly comfortable in this last week of the season. The Cubs haven't beat the Marlins, in what, 2 years? Swept them this year already, and at least once last year. Meanwhile St. Louis should be a cakewalk for Mil, I can see this back in .5 GB after 3 games. Then it gets tough with SD, but the Cubs are never great in Cincy, especially when it's a must win, and you never know with San Diego, they just got swept by Col. Not easy, but you never know, especially with baseball and the north side team, so get your lame ass 'believe' slogans out and let's do this! Mil needs a new manager though, some of those moves in Hou were horrendous

  20. Yost is a piece of crap. Did he really intentionally walk Berkman earlier to get to CLee?
  21. Holy crap, I had MLBTV minimized while typing my post, Brewers tie it, yes!
  22. The Cubs are garbage, the only good teams (over .500) the Cubs have a winning record against are Mil and Col http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/standings/grid, and as we can see, Milwaukee blows as well. Meanwhile the other night was hailed as a great comeback for the Cubs, when for us, it would've been, "What the hell are you doing needing to come back against KC anyways?!?!". I still have faith, this isn't the first year where they have just had to beat a couple garbage teams (I believe it was Cin and the Mets when they were bad) and completely choked it away, I'm more worried about Mil who will handily go down with them. The positive is that Mil still has extra games to play and are tied in the loss column, but then again, they have to play SD. The Cubs haven't been able to beat Florida in ages, I'm hoping the fighting fish can pull it off again and give Mil some breathing room
  23. Screw the Astros, check out what little b****es they sound like in this article: http://houston.astros.mlb.com/news/article...sp&c_id=hou If I was them, I would not have to explain myself to anybody, and say f*** YOU CUBS. Especially Floyd saying that it ticked him off. Other teams should worry about themselves, if they are so dependent on what other teams do, they have themselves to blame for not taking care of their own business in the past.
