I dont think it matters when the options are used..... However im not sure that the CBA doesnt have some type of clause that voids it if a player has X numbers of service time. BTW Sexy Rexy......how could I get a set of those Barons cards. I mean a media mogule like myslef (on the barons media mailing list) should be able to get em. right? Do you like them?? Guess you can buy one like all the rest of us schmoes. I got the pic from the order page on their web site. Will buy my sets tomorrow or Thursday at the game. I do know that they don't make many sets compared to other teams. I have been told that in the past. And unfortunately, they don't do a Team Set Giveaway Night anymore either. So I just buy mine.

Wily Mo is out of options. He originally signed a Major League contract so his first three years in the Minors were all option years.

I agree. I don't see the need for Weaver either. It's weird, this team starts to play well and then they feel the need to overhaul it. Tweak it with a move or two, that is fine. But hey, let's not go overboard.

Turn Buehrle's season around..... What if his last few were his first of the year and the the rest of the went from the beginning. Let's say he was in the middle of his 9 game losing streak (or however long it was). Would Buehrle look as good if he was traded to your team?? Or would he look better now because of the way he has pitched in his last 5 starts?? Or would you just look at his season stats?? How would you rate Buehrle based on those circumstances if you were on the receiving end (and not knowing him like we do)??? Just curious

Diaz, Ginter and someone like meaux would make some sense. Cotts is indeed a AA guy. I was kind of hoping Meaux would replace Ring in Birmingham. My guess is that Cotts is gone.......... from Birmingham either way. If he stays, they may bump him up to AAA to fill in gaps there. Who knows.......
