QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Dec 28, 2006 -> 12:46 AM) Does anyone else think that Mulder could turn out like Dye if he's willing to accept a contract below market value? well, the guy did grow up a SOX fan ........... I would take the risk here

QUOTE(danman31 @ Dec 22, 2006 -> 02:44 AM) Good work, very extensive. It gets hard to find stuff on guys like that. You should help us find info on the draft picks, that can be a pain. boss was very excited the SOX found a guy like this .............
-
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 27, 2006 -> 08:45 AM) Hangar, not only was this already posted, but I wrote the AAP page on the guy, which you are welcome to go check out. Sorry man. Boss brought it up this morning, and I didnt hear anything about him before. Hope the picture is updated at least!

The party was a huge success, kudos to everyone that brought food to donate, there was a lot in our boxes, so thanks again. I am always surprised by the number of "lurkers" who say hello, thats very cool too. It was cool to meet a number of you ........ we'll have to do this again
-
Tonites the nite everybody, look forward to seeing alot of you guys later on. Remember, some of you guys I havnt met before, so say hello, I'll do my best to introduce everyone if Im not too drunk. Remember, this is a benefit for the Chicago Food Bank Oh, the "beer special" is $3 domestic (doesnt sound all that special to me) And the band has been moved again to the middle area of the place, turns out the party that was in the backroom late tonite, is now going to start a little earlier, and there would be too much overlap between everyone, but hey thats life. It'll be easier to find us now heh heh

QUOTE(redandwhite @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 03:06 PM) I've made over 4,000 posts without insults in them. Are you seriously going to argue with me for the sake of arguing? Hey man, I dont have a problem with your post, it was pretty right-on

QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 10:56 AM) He's better than our current leadoff hitter in literally every single offensive category. Man ......................... Scott Podsednik absolutely must have a good year in 07 ...........

QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 09:42 AM) They have never cut payroll before any season when the profits from the previous season allowed them to increase or maintain. They have ALWAYS put back into the club. Why, after all this time of the having a well established pattern, would think this year is different? wasnt 04 one of those years in question? Several players were due raises and were traded/let go, and I think that although salary did go up minimally, the general consensus was that the team basically added by subtracting

QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 08:03 AM) But every little bit of validation helps yes yes yes

QUOTE(vandy125 @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 09:01 AM) The problem with it "almost" happening is that we do not know what else would have happened as a result of a Garland trade. That "almost" includes things further down the line that we do not know about unless we are sitting right there with KW while he is planning things out. So, we still don't know if the deal would have really been knocking off a bunch of payroll or if it would have lead to the addition of something else that even adds payroll. Good post here. YES, that is the problem is its tough to figure out where the rest of the dominoes would fall. Thats why its so much fun to speculate on what they may have done. Hot stove season. The only thing I could think of right now, was Kenny may have asked for the world or the Astros may have asked for the world. I told a very negative poster somewhere else, that we arent privy to what Kenny has in mind, and all Sox fans can do (and the media too) is guess Kennys motives

QUOTE(05 Sox R1 @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 10:15 PM) Mike and Miller are great guys. They get it. The others are too busy trying to outdo each other on the way down the pit to notice how they appear to sober people. hey, I like those guys too, they are fair and non-judgemental and dont get caught up in the hype. kudos to them. Very good sox fans I might add. good assessment too by the way OH, almost forgot. The owner of the bar has promised us some type of beer special, said he will open the back bar for us.
-
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 08:20 AM) Show me where we have traded Garland. Heck, show me where Kenny said anything about trading him. All there have been are rumors. Garland was THISCLOSE to being traded a few days ago. It almost happened. It was reported. Now whether we choose to believe that since hes still here, hes not going anywhere, or since his name surfaced in that deal and why are we considering trading im is topic for endless discussion. The bottom line is, the SOX Organization has heard the grumblings from the fanbase and come out and made this statement. Kudos. Its a good PR move

QUOTE(05 Sox R1 @ Dec 12, 2006 -> 11:14 PM) Those people who claim they are fun to tailgate with never have anything positive to say about anything or anyone. They won't be missed Friday. Oh wait, I'm wrong. They do say something positive, they keep saying "I like beer." Deep. That is the funniest thing you have ever said!

QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Dec 12, 2006 -> 04:55 PM) Totally disagree. We should have gotten at LEAST one more prospect out of that...just basing it on what the Rockies gave up. man I love this place
-
QUOTE(kwolf68 @ Dec 11, 2006 -> 06:32 PM) And after "the brawl" Eckstein and AJ were seen shooting the breeze having beers together. I think Eckstein is also a big wrestling fan. That sounds hilarious

did something happen to Tony Bernazard?

QUOTE(Pods22 @ Dec 12, 2006 -> 01:40 PM) Thanks I will not be there it was just a suggestion. I will be on my couch thinking about how I do not have to listen to your crazy ideas. Pretty bad excuse by the bar for not offering a drink package if you ask me. Excellent! QUOTE(afacio @ Dec 12, 2006 -> 01:48 PM) Did Hangar get kicked off the other board again????????? I agreed with the Phil Rogers article, that it was a bad idea if the SOX indeed were trading all of their starters by 08.
-
QUOTE(Pods22 @ Dec 12, 2006 -> 12:40 PM) Why did you not get a drink package? You could have seen if the bar had something for a few hours for a set amount. Hey! thats a Good Question actually. I did ask about that, but apparently, theres also another private party going on in the backroom that took up the "drink package" according to the owner. Were going there today to check on the lighting and im going to bring it up again with him, but yeah, We definitely should have a Drink Special for this ...... I'll let you guys know tomorrow about this Our drummer brought up us wearing Santa outfits ........... but I was a scrooge and nixed it, heh heh

QUOTE(Sox1422 @ Dec 12, 2006 -> 12:00 PM) What kind of band is it? Is there a $__ all you can drink? Its a Rock band, and a cash bar.
-
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 12, 2006 -> 09:19 AM) I will say these guys are a fun group to tailgate and party with. Consider that the official southsider endorsement I got to admit, I think SOX fans are the best fans in baseball ...... Theyre just fun to be around in general by the way, Happy Bday ssk5
