Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.

Same, they should absolutely make calls to at least put feelers out there for him. -

Houser market has been surprisingly super quiet. Robert seems like he may stay put. I think a team should look to package Houser and Sosa who could be a nice bench bat for a contender. -

Feinsand about 15 mins ago reported Mets are front runners for Robert and Acunas name is being floated out there. -

No thanks to Acuna as the return for the very reason you mentioned. -

Soto exits game with foot contusion for the Mets. Not sure how serious that is but could it entice them even more so to acquire Robert? -

Seeing some speculating at packages with the Mets in this thread, I’d guess the headliner could be Clifford, Gilbert or maybe Ewing. No shot at Benge, Jett or any other top guy like I’ve seen some throw out there. He’s lower on their T30, but Nick Morabito has really hit the ball well in their system this year AND he’s a 70 run guy. He has hit consistently over the last 2 years in their farm with a decent glove as an OFer too. He may not be a bad get. -

Sadly don’t think there’s any shot Robert as the headliner is bringing anything close to a prospect like Benge. -
Massive difference between these last 2 “young cores” so far is the mentality. This group gives off way more competitive, winner, having fun playing ball vibes than the Moncada, Eloy, Yaz, Robert, Vaughn group did. Culture feels far different than the last group. No clue how it winds up down the road but I think it’s an obvious difference and think it matters.

I Wish they’d start giving him some run out on the OF. System is so ridiculously loaded with IFers I’d like to see them play him out in LF. The bat looks like it might be for real.

I was just asking myself the other day where Harold had been since the draft was kind of his thing? Didn’t realize he h got chased off of here. That does suck, he had some interesting pieces of info he’d share which was cool.

2026 MLB Draft Thread...Sox likely a Top 3 pick here
peanut33tillman replied to caulfield12's topic in FutureSox Board
Cholowsky looks absolutely insane. Such an awesome year to potentially have the top pick much less a top 5 pick. Just a stacked class at the top with a good mix of prep and college bats -
Late to the party but I think Shelton is going to move through the system quick giving hitterish vibes like Antonnacci. Boughton looks really athletic. Was a state champion long jumper, runs 6.4 60 with plus arm. Bat is in question but I can see Sox profiling him in CF.
-
Saw some stuff about him potentially going to school. Don’t know if true at all, but I can see them going pitcher here.
-
Looking ahead to tomorrow I’d be ecstatic with any of Neville, Dickerson or Blair to kick off round 4.
-
Would prefer to be wrong but my guess for today is Hall. Here’s to praying Parker or Carlson slides to us.
-
Conrad would get an awesome get at 44. I don’t think he gets there though.
-
What do we think the odds are that one or Parker or Carlson gets to 10? 35-40% or so?
-
I have maintained the same realistic thinking imo that he can get you somewhere around a Top 200-250 type prospect. Seen some T100 talk from fans but I don’t see that at all.
-
Schoolcraft at 10 with Parker on the board would have me inventing new cuss words because the normal ones wouldn’t be enough.
-
I think if either Carlson or Parker there you have to pick one of the two. If not available I would think they are going underslot which then floating Schoolcraft to round 2 makes a ton of sense. Don’t love the idea of passing on of the 2 stud prep SS just to push Schoolcraft down.

Thought it was Interesting on Sox Machine podcast, Josh had Jim Callis on and they were talking about Carlson/Parker. Callis said he got a text from a Reds person on the 4th July that said he didn’t think Reds would be able to do Carlson, guessing that means $$? Callis said if he could redo his mock after that text hed flip it with it looking like this 9. Reds- Parker 10. Sox- Carlson

Hoping for Parker or Carlson. Hernandez would be a great get as well. After those 3, I don’t love any of em at 10 that could realistically be there.

2026 MLB Draft Thread...Sox likely a Top 3 pick here

Rockies just slot in at 10. Same as us last year who had worst record all time and are picking 10. They are Immediately slotted into pick 10 and 1 in all other rounds. They aren’t allowed to pick inside top 10 at all in round 1. -
Sox picked great year to be penalized not picking inside the top 10. Blah class at the very top. 26 class on paper looks LOADED at the top. Roch Cholowsky Drew Burress Justin Lebron Jacob Lombard Grady Emerson

Not sure I’m understanding your question but Rockies can’t pick inside top 10 in 2026 draft much like Sox for this 25 class. Sox have a 6.5 game lead on the As as the leading team to pick (Top 2 teams have same odds to pick 1st though.) if you’re bored remainder of year root for the As, Pirates and Marlins to win. Rockies will play no factor into Sox picking 1.
