  2. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 12:07 PM) Maybe I'm sleeping on Chase, but still though.... Luis Castillo: Kicking ass since 1999 Chase Utley: Kicking ass since April of 2005 I choose Utley Good Choice.
  3. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:29 PM) Even the worst teams around can have hot streaks. Tampa Bay last year is still my example. Cleveland isn't as bad as they've been playing early this year. But they're not as good as they've been playing this week. They are a middle-of-the pack team in the AL Central, probably just about where they were last year. Hopefully their hot streak will end soon.

  5. The "Dreaded" Sunday Subs will "Intimidate" the dodgers into losing the game.

  7. Ryan Dempster is a little b****, just like Torii Hunter.
  8. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:05 PM) We got a great chance to win anytime we take the field. This team is for real! This team kicks ass.
  9. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:23 PM) Changed. :finger I like that avatar, but it just doesn't have the same awesomeness as the AJ one.
  10. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:21 PM) I want nothing more than to see Frank make it to 500 Hr's. If he can stay healthy I think its a lock for him. It has to be. With the way he is hitting this year(assuming he stays healthy) he should get 500 by next season.
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 12:35 PM) I only buy my music in the stores. What ever you do, do not look at that picture of my desktop. Why? What's with the picture.
  12. 8 month's to get a DNA sample back. Give me a break.
  13. Phil because i don't know who the other guy is. Im way to young.
  14. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:02 PM) No. Do you see how well mauer has hit with men in scoring position? Sure he has low rbi totals but whenever he has been given the chance to drive runs in he does it. Mauer is a sick defensive catcher and will only get better. I have always thought pierz was one of the better defenders in baseball but no one seemed to believe me. He was ''bad at blocking balls in the dirt''. My ass. Mauer>>> pierz and i really like pierz. Mauer has has will always hover around .300 ( much like pierz has throughout most of his career. The big difference is mauer sees alot more pitches and walk at a much better pace... wouldn't be surprised to see him post a .400 obp in a year or two. Mauer is also one of the faster catchers in the league... not gonna steal you many bases but you have alot more options with mauer than pierzynski... such as a hit and run with mauer being the runner. I wouyld give mauer the defensive edge too but i am not sure how long he will last at the position. Doesn't Mauer have a knee problem?
  15. QUOTE(bulokis @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:14 PM) I also love those jerseys. The WGN retro graphics were great also. That was pretty cool, everthing was susposed to be all old timey.
  16. QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 01:48 PM) I think I speak for most Sox fans and most of the active members of Soxtalk when I say I would love to see Frank end his career in Silver and Black. I cringe at the thought of him in Fenway, or, God forbid, in pinstripes, staring down Garland or Buehrle. That's the only way i can see him ending his career, with us.
  17. QUOTE(bulokis @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:06 PM) I loooooooooove those 59' jersey and hat!!!!!!!!!!! They were sweet. The helmets looked good to.
  18. I love those jerseys. The looked so great.
  19. QUOTE(bulokis @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 10:55 PM) Man what a great win today. My wife and I spent most of the afternoon looking for TV at Best buy and Circuit city. When we were at CC, the game was on and it was the bottom ninth. We saw the comeback win and what an awesome win! The sales people were looking at me bcoz I was clapping and jumping for joy. I was coming home from a party and listening to it on the radio. Right when Rooney made the call i knew it was gone. I high-fived my uncle who was driving the car, and my dad(cub fan) just sat there. It was great.
  20. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 02:25 PM) 18-Jul-04: Montreal Expos traded Carl Everett to the Chicago White Sox for Jon Rauch and Gary Majewski. 18-Mar-03: Returned as a Rule 5 selection to the Chicago White Sox from the Toronto Blue Jays. 16-Dec-02: Selected by the Toronto Blue Jays from the Chicago White Sox in the Rule 5 minor league draft. 26-Jul-01: Chicago White Sox traded James Baldwin to the Los Angeles Dodgers for Onan Masaoka, Gary Majewski and Jeff Barry. 18-Mar-01: Los Angeles Dodgers traded Antonio Osuna and Carlos Ortega to the Chicago White Sox for Gary Majewski, Andre Simpson and Orlando Rodriguez. 02-Jun-98: Drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 2nd round in 1998. Wow the Sox really liked him but just could never keep him.
  21. QUOTE(AirScott @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 03:56 PM) that is the best trade idea this board has seen since Chavez. but the problem with the D'Backs' pen is injuries. they thought they had their closer last year in Greg Aquino, but he starts the season on the DL, as did Jose Valverde. Brandon Lyon stepped up in Aquino's absence, and now he's on the DL. Oscar Villarreal is also on the DL. only now do they have Valverde and Aquino back, and neither has done too well. See the thing is they can only have 2 of their 4 good relievers on the team at the same time. Otherwise they would actually be a better bullpen.
  22. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 08:43 PM) KF is going south Where south?
  23. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 08:33 PM) The Yankees probably don't even have the prospects to get him. Who are they going to give the Mets (who probably wouldn't want to trade to them anyway) for Cameron? Bernie Williams? All of their "prospects" are in the majors. Cano and that Wang guy. Otherwise i don't think that they have anymore.
