  1. San Francisco is easily the best city in california, but running very close behind is san diego. Oakland flat out blows.
  2. QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Mar 9, 2007 -> 12:38 PM) I wasn't quite sure what to make of the Chess game. Doesn't a good chess game take hours? Also, if Locke is that smart why does he appear to do some really dumb things. He was the one that demanded the buttons be pressed at the hatch and then he blew up both the hatch and the flame just out of curiosity is he that dumb or is he smart. Great Episode none the less. Ironic that the "flame" turned into a huge flame.
  3. OSU needs to start rebounding if they want to go far. Oden with a nice 22 point game.
  4. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Mar 9, 2007 -> 11:09 AM) Fantastic episode. This is exactly what they needed. Though the chess game thing was kinda dumb -- if the station was breached by "hostiles," they were supposed to play chess, win, and then enter a bunch of numbers to blow up the station? That doesn't exactly make sense. exactly. Which is why its even stranger.
  5. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 9, 2007 -> 11:05 AM) That's about 2-3 mph faster than I've seen most people say he throws. Sports Illustrated just called BMAC a hard throwing righty
  6. Some interesting tidbits
  7. Ryan Sweeney is dead sexy. Look at that elbow torque on Floyd.
  8. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 9, 2007 -> 10:18 AM) ...but...but...but...our minor league system is stocked with outfielders! Rowand has played on the biggest stage the game has to offer and he didn't piss down his leg. When has the White Sox organization ever shown you they could develop minor league talent? Put major leaguers on the field. If we were to make a deal, i'd really like a lead off hitter involved in it.
  9. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Mar 9, 2007 -> 09:49 AM) Yeah they warned us about the rattlesnakes before we teed off. Even if I was like 2 feet off the fairway...I left the ball alone. Do Javalina's look like wild pigs? Our cab driver almost hit one of those on the way home one night. He jerked and swerved off the road to avoid it. We were like what the f*** was that? He answered, but none of us could understand him. Yeah, they can get freaking huge and will charge you. Serious stuff.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 9, 2007 -> 10:11 AM) Why's that? Phillips isn't even on the radar as far as the big league team. Here's the way I look at it: Brian Anderson sucks. Thus, if we send him down to the minors, I wouldn't mind having a platoon of Erstad/Rowand in CF. I personally think Phillips is a nice pitcher and has a future in the bigs.
  11. If we gave up Phillips we would be on the losing end of that deal.
  12. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Mar 9, 2007 -> 09:49 AM) Im all for Rowand, i think he would definitely help guys like Crede want to stay. Yeah, but the White Sox dont really want Crede to stay. Our top prospect plays his position.
  13. Im interested to see how many of Sylar's talents that Peter picked up. Basically they could have a super-hero face off and just throw each others talents around.
  14. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Mar 9, 2007 -> 09:36 AM) if you hit it off the fairway, keep your eyes open for rattlesnakes. I have an Aunt that lives in Tucson and have golfed a little out there, and you do hear/see them javalinas will get you too.
  15. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Mar 9, 2007 -> 09:38 AM) KW went and asked Tracey if he would like to be traded because he wasn't going to be given much of a shot now around here. Did the same with Baj and Rogo as well I have a feeling that this has something to do with that. As soon as KW talks to ANYONE in the Phils org people assume that we are getting Rowand. At this point Anderson and Erstad are better than A-row so it makes no sense for us there. We could possibly look at more picks or a better 4th of, but not for Rowands price tag.
  16. Did quick really post in this thread? Amazing. This sounds like KW is shopping Tracey around. Maybe he was talking to the phils about something, but i cant see us getting Rowand back at all.
  17. Hit the nail on the head with that one.
  18. QUOTE(Jim Spencer @ Mar 8, 2007 -> 06:45 PM) Yeah but, will 3 to 6 games be enough?????????? I just can't see the Twins winning 96 games again or the Tigers winning 95. I hope I'm right I assume our defense, and our sp will improve as well.
  19. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Mar 8, 2007 -> 06:44 PM) So where were you all when I asked if this was any good? Back here Luckily we went ahead and watched it anyway. It's become must see TV in our house. just like lost it took some goading to get me into it, but i love this show.
  20. There was just a PGA tourney played a little ways away from Tucson.
  21. good debate btw, almost deserves its own thread.
  22. Masset has looked good out of the pen. I actually really think that we will improve 3-6 games based on the pen.
  23. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 8, 2007 -> 03:57 PM) It doesn't matter who hit it....that grand slam on the 1st pitch after a commercial break was as dramatic a situation as possible. The crowd was much louder and crazier for konerko's
  24. Top 5TH B:0 S:0 O:0 Pitcher Change: Dave Veres replaces Danny Graves, batting 9th. Top 5TH B:0 S:0 O:1 Tadahito Iguchi grounds out, third baseman Garrett Atkins to first baseman Joe Koshansky. Top 5TH B:0 S:0 O:2 Paul Konerko grounds out, third baseman Garrett Atkins to shortstop Troy Tulowitzki to first baseman Joe Koshansky. Pitch 1 - In play, out(s) Jermaine Dye flies out to right fielder Jeff Baker.
