  1. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 01:20 PM) Looked like a ton of contact on ND on those reaches. Cant expect the call there. Need to run an actual offense. They had the pick and roll wide open twice.
  2. One of the worst final possessions Ive ever seen. NE had it.
  3. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 09:37 AM) Guess when you get a 1 seed you go all in on your team Yep, and its never worked out for me.
  4. I just hate everything about Flowers game. Bad swing, mediocre defensively. Ugh
  5. Im not a dietician but man that looks like a lot of protein.
  6. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Mar 17, 2015 -> 02:29 PM) Good point, the soccer league is by no mean anything close to professional where I would modify my routine strictly for the sport, but tweaking it where it becomes a lot more cardiovascular will help me in the general goal which is loosing fat and leaning out. Thanks. Nothing to brag about to be honest, I didn't get into working out till my twenties and I've made very slow progress until present day. Im 30 now. I'm 5'9" and 175lbs, looking at the numbers it doesn't seem bad but I'm about 18% body fat, and I would love to get down to 12%. I love my beer and I love to eat so it has been a constant battle with the diet, but sometimes I get so burnt out I hit the gym hard for week, two then on week 3 I get in there and just go through the motions. I have a Vegas trip coming up in June and I would like to be able to take off my shirt and feel 100% comfortable, no body builder here, just want to lean out and have an athletic physique. So thats kind of what I am getting at. Your routine looks like a bulk routine instead of a slim down athletic one. The typical "one body part per day" is for packing on muscle, not necessarily for staying in good shape.
  7. I mean, just ridiculous IMO. And I am an athlete and I fully expect to have my kids play sports, but at this age they shouldnt be easily exposed to head and spine injuries.
  8. QUOTE (ptatc @ Mar 17, 2015 -> 01:57 PM) This is part of the problem. So far the research has shown the concussion issues are no worse in individuals that have played pro football and those who haven't. There are far more issues in people that have been in car accidents than pro football players. So, it's really difficult to determine if playing football as a child really effects much of anything. Logically, it stands to reason that they have more trauma than someone who doesn't but it's really hard to determine that in later life. The research is pretty limited though isnt it, mostly because a lot of the older guys who probably suffered from CTE didnt have the funds or desire to get checked out. Either way, why increase the odds of there being any sort of head or spinal injury to your young child by putting them on a team with some wanna be NFL coach making them do Oklahoma drills before their bodies are mature? It's just stupid. I watch the show "Friday Night Tykes" and its sickening. Already on a pool of 5 or so teams they follow there have been at least 2 SERIOUS head injuries.
  9. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Mar 17, 2015 -> 12:09 PM) I personally believe soccer and hockey are more dangerous in regard to concussions at the grammar school/pop warner level. I disagree. No other sport practices repeated shots to the head and spine multiple times a week. 6 and 7 year old kids are doing oklahoma drills. Its insanely stupid. My boy is playing golf first.
  10. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Mar 16, 2015 -> 05:55 PM) Quick question/dilemma... I work out regularly, typical Chest/Back/Legs/Shoulders/Arms split. An opportunity presented itself and I might be joining a soccer indoor team, that plays every Thursday. I've played a ton when I was a kid and I'd like to get back into it. How would I modify my workout split so my legs are not completely dead come game time? How are your results with that program? Seems to be (im not trying to insult you) a little "old school".

    2015 TV Thread

    Yeah, the Jinx was fantastic.
  12. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 17, 2015 -> 06:02 AM) Felt bad this thread was just chilling at the bottom of the page. I got Zona Wisconsin has a REALLY easy road until they hit up UNC then Zona. Both top seeds should pretty much coast to the sweet 16
  13. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 16, 2015 -> 09:18 AM) Got my first round of the year in yesterday at Ruffled Feathers in Lemont. Pretty great day for golf. About 60-65 and no one was on the course. Hit some good shots and some bad shots. Ended up with an 87. For the first time out, hitting a couple new clubs (I did take some mulligans), pretty pleased. I liked the course a lot, very challenging, but I dunno that I'd pay the full summer rate. I had to walk the course too. I haven't done that since high school. Holy crap am I sore. That place was going bankrupt last summer so the course isnt as nice as the rate anymore.
  14. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 13, 2015 -> 03:01 PM) He's a Michigan asst now. Lot of hype around the hire. Was curious. If he's recruiting it's probably helpful but if he's not an assistant it's probably a stepping stone to him. He's on the road to being a college coach or coordinator.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 13, 2015 -> 12:57 PM) Rock, what do you know about Rick Finotti? He's a high school football coach in Cleveland.
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 13, 2015 -> 12:38 PM) 4 fouls in 38 mins. Trying not to go all Illini fan. Wisconsin has never ever ever only committed 5 fouls in a game. That officiating was bulls***.
  17. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 12, 2015 -> 11:44 PM) hope you'd get your ass kicked for saying something that awful regardless of the function you said it at. Absolutely. We had a fairly diverse membership for how little diversity actually went to Miami. Those guys alone would beat the s*** out of you.
  18. Matta all time winningest coach at OSU. Love him thanking people for sticking with him through his disability. Few people know how bad it is.
