  1. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 7, 2014 -> 11:53 AM) Long DOES say that it was the title game. I don't agree with it, but he's telling the Big 12 to add a title game. They've said it was a big factor all along
  2. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 7, 2014 -> 11:51 AM) What rule is that? They eliminated head to head as the determining factor.
  3. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 7, 2014 -> 11:06 AM) You can make any argument against the Big 12 teams that you want, I still don't think the whole conference championship game thing should factor in. And if it does, the committee should say that they are penalizing the Big 12 for not playing an extra game. Grilling the whole "One True Champion" phrasing as why the Big 12 might miss the playoff seems to make the argument that the committee is full of idiots. "They said they have one true champion, but they gave out TWO trophies!!! How do we evaluate them?" The Big 12 changed the rules two weeks ago to try and game the system for a team they though had the best chance to make it. It's their fault anyway.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 6, 2014 -> 11:06 PM) Personally, I think Baylor should make it ahead of Ohio St. Baylor lost to a better team on the road than Ohio St. did, and Baylor also beat a top 6 team in TCU. It's too bad both Baylor and Ohio St. can't make it, as Ohio St. is playing like a top 3 team right now. Depends if you think 12-1 with a better SOS is better than 11-1 with a "better" loss.
  5. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 6, 2014 -> 10:25 PM) TCU didn't lose in the non conference to a 6-6 team. Given what the committee has said, it seems like that matters, even though OSU is rolling right now. And that's the only thing they have. OSU has SOS better wins including on the road and an extra conference title game which was a beat down.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 6, 2014 -> 09:22 PM) No matter who wins, I think it's obvious FSU is not one of the best 5 teams in the country Still think the non conference will keep OSU behind TCU, but who knows at this point TCUs non conference is garbage. Their overall opponents are 61-70 while OSUs are 84-60.
  7. Unfortunately the mizzou who lost to Indiana showed up.
  8. QUOTE (spiderman @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 05:06 PM) Interesting, so that could mean, if true, that they have about $25M to play with. Of the approximate $75 million they have spent so far, how many players is that for? So if it's $75 for 11 players (just guessing), how many players from the remaining 14 that will be on the MLB roster to we project to be playing for the minimum? I like the way you think
  9. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 04:30 PM) Well that's a kick in the balls. Apparently there might not be enough bowl games for the bowl eligible Big Ten teams. I'm sure Illinois would be the first team out. Need Wisconsin to beat Ohio State in order to get the bid. It's not the opposite of that scenario?
  10. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 03:05 PM) Yeah I'm sure Frost will make that lateral move. I think its a step down to be honest
  11. The reason the Cubs dont have the "stay at home to watch them on TV" issue is because a large (much larger than the Sox) portion of their daily fanbase comes through resell and tourism. Wrigley field is basically an alcoholic version of the art institute for people coming in town. The Sox will never be able to match that. Also when the tickets are being given away its much easier to hop in a cab and head up to wrigley since a larger portion of the population lives in the area.
  12. I laughed so hard i farted, well it could have been a shart.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 01:58 PM) This is how I am with Chipotle. It's one of my favorite things around but absolutely destroys me within the next few hours. Agreed.
  14. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 03:04 PM) But even if he did well enough for OSU, it's not like it was the golden years of that program, or even considerably better than what it was before. Plus he was there during a horrific gang rape scandal
  15. QUOTE (spiderman @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 01:58 PM) Other threads say the White Sox have ~$15M or so to spend to get into the low $90M range. Not sure how much of that ~$15M is for free agents or players making minimum salaries to fill out the roster, but it seems, if that number is right, that the Sox can maybe add another 1 or 2 role player type(s), but they would be up against that 90M fairly quickly. Unless the Sox are looking to spend $110M or so, it's hard to see them competing for any premier free agents. I could see them spending 100 mil
  16. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 11:56 AM) Yeah I don't get it. Riley is old too. Maybe Frost will be a head coach in waiting or else I'm not seeing why make this move Its almost as if Frost turned the job down
  17. QUOTE (Sox Fan In Husker Land @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 07:54 AM) OK thank you. Was he ever contacted by NU? Seems like they are still hitting him up per the response I got from my guy, so they aren't giving up on the Vest. He does have a show cause until the end of 2016.
