  1. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 1, 2014 -> 12:02 PM) But as a parent, how do you not teach your child to just ignore it? Literally, press the "ignore" button that's on 99% of all social media platforms. It's pretty simple. You cant ignore it when it spills over to their life, reputations and relationships in school and other places. Its horrid to see.
  2. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Dec 2, 2014 -> 02:36 PM) You're referring to Harbaugh, I presume? And Miles, according to a few articles today they are off the table. I have enjoyed reading all the saved tweets from a year and more ago about the future being bright under Hoke, who knew a career .500 coach would end up not being a good hire?
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 2, 2014 -> 02:08 PM) Bruce Feldman ‏@BruceFeldmanCFB 2m2 minutes ago Brady Hoke has been told he is out as head coach at #Michigan, source just told @FoxSports Worst kept secret of all time. Now the question is how mad will the fans be where its not their first or second choice.
  4. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Dec 2, 2014 -> 12:06 PM) About 3 years ago. They came out to the house and told me at the time that if I cut down the tree in my front yard they could probably get a good enough signal. It's about a 60 foot tall maple that I just don't really have the $1000 or so to cut it down. Yeah I would call them again. Mine points directly into a huge Oak tree and its fine.
  5. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 2, 2014 -> 09:48 AM) They were a top 5 offense before he took over, and they are still a top 5 offense. What was he supposed to do, average 600 yards/game? The fact that he is been learning and running that offense is huge, he can bring that to Nebraska and it might help excite new recruits. I like it better than just throwing money at the latest mid-major flavor of the month. Im saying it should be a question mark on whether he actually had anything to do with the offense in general. It seems to be on auto pilot especially when driven by the next Heisman trophy winner.
  6. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 2, 2014 -> 09:41 AM) He's a top assistant on a top program with a connection to Nebraska. I have a hard time imagining anyone from Nebraska thinking hiring an Oregon assistant as "vanilla". I wouldnt consider hiring a short time OC from a program a good hire. Top tier programs are supposed to hire proven commodities, at least with some HC experience.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 2, 2014 -> 11:16 AM) yes, they are closed until spring. They are one of my favs, especially when it isn't loaded with people from Illinois Ha, I only go at opening on weekdays, awesome burger though.
  8. QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 2, 2014 -> 09:34 AM) Nice! I can't recommend these new 70-80 inch tvs enough...best investment I have ever made...it's truly a different experience with a screen that big. Pretty stoked about sports and games on it. I need to find a wall mounted cabinet though.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 2, 2014 -> 09:00 AM) Im not gonna lie, Wendys jumped the shark for me. I used to love it, now im not so into it. I think its the baconator, i prefer the Bacon classic and they act like its a big pain in the ass to make that and charge me extra for the lettuce/tomato/onion I also prefer the Big Bacon Classic
  10. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 1, 2014 -> 04:58 PM) He was named OC after Kelley left. Are you not counting this year as a year? Yeah, my bad. The offense hasnt changed or improved or really anything since he was name OC. Its just a very vanilla hire that is kind of below what you would think from Nebraska. I understand its not official yet so maybe its just a really good rumor.
  11. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 1, 2014 -> 04:43 PM) 2 years? I think it would be a good hire. Nubs clearly wanted someone who would make Nebraska their dream job for years. Never underestimate the alumni's love for a true son. It might not work out but that's why you don't make change for change's sake. What is 2 years? He's been an OC for one year.
  12. QUOTE (danman31 @ Dec 1, 2014 -> 04:20 PM) Where are you getting this from? Its been reported by multiple people so far without it being "official" I guess there could be changes. And we dont hate Frost, he's just been a coordinator ONE year, thats the type of HC jobs that are usually available in MAC level hirings.
  13. Scott Frost to Nebraska, I'd venture to say this is a worse hire than Beckman on the surface day 1.
  14. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 1, 2014 -> 10:49 AM) It's ridiculous to me that people can feel intimidated over the internet. They're f'n words. Stop reading them and they go away! Because kids and teenagers use it to seriously harass others. It's incredibly cruel the way they use the internet to bully.
  15. Picked up a 75 inch 7150 samsung LED for half off on cyber monday.
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 1, 2014 -> 11:16 AM) One other interesting stat: This years Bears team is scoring less per game (21.4) then the Bears did with Mike Tice as the OC (23.4 PPG). That was with Alshon having not emerged / being hurt most of his rookie season. We also had no one who could play TE that year (remember Kellen Davis, LOL). The difference in the defensive statistics has to be massive though/

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 1, 2014 -> 11:16 AM) Has anyone ever been to The Assembly in Hoffman Estates on Barrington Rd and I 90? Every burger comes with a mushroom sherry sauce, and it is pretty much the best thing ever(with a burger) http://www.assembly-bar.com/ Their featured beer- Pumpking- from southern tier is outstanding and strong as hell.
  18. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 1, 2014 -> 11:16 AM) You could make an argument that the Nebraska job is more attractive than even the Michigan job. Michigan is in the East with perennial power OSU, an MSU program that seems to be in the midst of prolonged success, and an Penn State program that has the potential to get back to the top. The West has only one program that has any track record of consistent success. Not a chance in hell. Recruiting base, money and academics are superior at Michigan. Nebraska is clearly a tier below.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 1, 2014 -> 10:50 AM) darren rovell ‏@darrenrovell 2h2 hours ago It will cost Michigan $1M more to fire Brady Hoke before 12/31 ($3M buyout vs $2M buyout). Drop in the bucket at Michigan. Issue is they dont have their replacement in mind yet, they are waiting for Harbaugh but all signs point to him staying in the NFL, now what?
  20. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 1, 2014 -> 09:17 AM) The Nebraska and Michigan vacancies are irrelevant to Illinois. They aren't going to be hiring from the same coaching pool anyways. Nebraska may even though their fans dont want to admit it.
  21. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 30, 2014 -> 10:06 AM) Okay. Now I wish IIllinois lost yesterday Yeah they need to hire Pelini right now.
  22. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 29, 2014 -> 02:35 PM) The kid that tweeted classes are pointless gets to play though! Yeah but he just beat the QB who calls everyone a homo on twitter

QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 26, 2014 -> 11:56 PM) Five guys is damn good, but a tad greasy. I know, greasy is good. And the fries there suck. Don't get me wrong, still like it. Best burgers: InNOut burger is damn good. Good shakes too. Funny how many people still go to McDonald's. I must say if I'm starving I can wolf down one of those double quarterpounders. I hate Smashburger. See the fries at five guys are some of my favorites. Especially if you get them spicy. The main weakness of in n out is they have the worst fries on the planet.

QUOTE (scs787 @ Nov 26, 2014 -> 09:33 PM) I'm all about throwing em in a pan because I'm a fatty and love em greasy as funk. Blue cheese, grilled onions, BBQ sauce. Boom....A juicy lucy(cheese on the inside) if I'm feelin frogy. Despite being a fatty McGee I haven't had fast food in quite some time. Often because I'm eating with others and 1 fast food bill would cost about the same as what it would cost to make homemade. I like your style. I'd add bacon to that blue burger Fav fast food is tough, so many choices for different types of burgers. Sometimes I was thin and crispy and sometimes juicy and thick. I like anything from Mickeys to five guys. If I make it at home I sear it medium rare with cheddar or blue and bacon. Those are my staples. If I have jalapeños ill grill them as well.
