  1. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 10:05 AM) Yeah, but it's still fun arguing over what someone else's opinion will be over resumes that are completely unbalanced. Barry Alvarez will crush Condaleza Rice's head
  2. I'm telling you, we have more payroll and adding a REALLY good RHP to the rotation immediately makes us contenders IMO.
  3. The odds of beating wisconsin with a 3rd string QB is very slim anyway so none of this is probably relevant
  4. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 08:15 AM) Ohio State already has the best overall win and more wins against .500 or better opponents. Why are they ranked two spots lower now? Because they have a worse loss and haven't played their extra game and conference title game yet against a highly ranked opponent. Something TCU cannot bring to the table. All of that is what adds up to them jumping TCU and I haven't waivered from that.
  5. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 08:04 AM) I simply don't see the basis for dropping TCU two spots after winning this week, and I don't think they'll be punished for doing so. A win over Wisconsin is simply not that important. At that point, TCU might as well drop 3 spots if Baylor beats Kansas State. If both big 12 teams are left out and they have to send a conference champion to their designated bowl game than Baylor will be jumping over TCU because of head to head. So technically they could jump them.
  6. They don't "drop" the entire ranking is reset and recalculated. It's not a poll or a computer. Conference title game (which is an extra game overall) against a highly ranked opponent as well as OSU having the best overall win and more wins against .500 or better opponents (almost twice as many). The math is there to figure out. Of course beating Wisconsin is probably not going to happen anyway so the top four should stay the same though FSU will jump TCU.
  7. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 12:24 AM) For every spot you name around the Cell, I can name 5 for the Wrigley area. The walkable options you have around the Cell is extremely limited. You wouldn't want to walk far south in that neighborhood. And no one wants to hangout at Chinatown after the game. Probably 20. But that's not the reason I gave up my season tickets after a decade. Going to a game is pricey and sometimes annoying as hell. You will drop 50 bucks on food and beer at least these days and the game experience is ok for the price. However, sitting in front of my or a bars giant HD TV is sometimes just as nice if not better.
  8. QUOTE (Sox Fan In Husker Land @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 07:54 AM) OK thank you. Was he ever contacted by NU? People mention an unlimited number of jobs to him, dude is happy as a president. It's more likely he would run for political office at this point than coach.
  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 07:58 AM) They are playing the #11 ranked team this weekend, so they have nothing to worry about it if they win. If they were facing an unranked opponent and they struggled again, then maybe there would be cause for concern. And undefeated power 5 team will never be left out.
  10. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 07:52 AM) The conference that should be worried is the ACC. You have an undefeated team that's won 25 or whatever consecutive games behind three one loss teams and close to the edge of the playoff. Eh they aren't really. It's going to take some getting used to compared to the computers but I don't put a whole lot of stock into their #4 ranking at the moment. Win their conference title game and they are solidly top 3.
  11. QUOTE (Sox Fan In Husker Land @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 07:36 AM) And you know this how? First and second hand knowledge from the man himself.
  12. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 07:37 AM) Their tough start of the schedule will definitely have them improved by Feb. Just nobody on that squad right now worries me outside of Dawson. I'm sure their guards will get healthy sometime. Trice was garbage but he has the flu. Their shooting ability isn't all that impressive but they can grind out some wins with rebounding and defense.
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 4, 2014 -> 07:35 AM) Me. With all MSU lost, I believed they were only ranked because of Izzo. Plus they tend to improve as the season goes on which lands them their ranking the next year.
  14. I can tell you right now Tressel is out with 100% certainty.
  15. The Blues still think they give out a trophy for most hits. Andthhey are led by a baby in Backes
  16. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 3, 2014 -> 03:56 PM) ND fan making fun of Michigan seems petty Merkin is a pretty annoying fan so I get it. I also do not think he is correct at the payroll number. I think they have more room than that, probably at least 10 million more.
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 3, 2014 -> 04:32 PM) I saw it from a guy on Twitter. So it's gotta be true. That blogger and Greg Henson are living off this search for clicks. I hate that's how the media is these days. Sam Webb is about the only one I would trust on this topic.
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 3, 2014 -> 03:13 PM) Rumors are Michigan offered Harbaugh between 8-9 mil a year. Yikes. If true, can't say they didn't try. Here's the link to the blog you are citing so everyone else can see. This guy has driven so much traffic today with this post. http://detroitsportsrag.net/
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 3, 2014 -> 03:49 PM) Rumors that Nebraska is talking to Bret Bielema. That would be comical. He came out and said he's "all hog" but he could be referring to what he ate today
  20. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 3, 2014 -> 03:13 PM) Rumors are Michigan offered Harbaugh between 8-9 mil a year. Yikes. If true, can't say they didn't try. Oh no you didn't just cite Detroit sports rag blog.
  21. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 3, 2014 -> 02:59 PM) Maryland is in the Big Ten, but that has nothing to do with my post. Thats why i put spaces between it, duh!!!
  22. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 3, 2014 -> 03:00 PM) Utah not leaving the PAC 12 for the Big 12. BYU has stated a desire to be independent for football, though perhaps a Big 12 invite could change their minds. Independence is going to be a disadvantage in the playoff era, so joining a power 5 may influence them a bit
