QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 10, 2014 -> 08:12 AM) So if he's there in the 6th it would be silly for some team not to grab him unless he performs poorly at the combine. I'd love for him to fall to the Bears. He was a dynamite player in the SEC. -
QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 9, 2014 -> 09:01 PM) Fiona is becoming as bad a parent as Frank. That was a great episode.

Lost 2 five star players at once with Mike Mitchell most likely transferring and Mickey probably not coming due to their father's illness. -

Payne is such a difference maker. -
QUOTE (Y2HH @ Feb 9, 2014 -> 07:53 AM) THIS is exactly what was wrong with MySpace. I could never find anything on anyone's pages, because everyone put them in different areas, or made them look drastically different, it lacked general organization, and became a sloppy/annoying experience. The auto play music was the worst.

QUOTE (Jake @ Feb 9, 2014 -> 01:35 AM) The guy who instigated (maybe) the incident texted a reporter and said he said something that he shouldn't have and feels bad about it. Of course...many wonder if it is the so-called "magic hate word" going on here. You could see him saying I'm sorry about that man before he got pushed. -
QUOTE (ptatc @ Feb 8, 2014 -> 12:18 PM) Skill and reflexes do change as you get through middle age. Hey f***er, I can still shred. I'm just really sore the next day.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 8, 2014 -> 01:07 PM) Accidents happen. I don't fall skating, either. I just don't get being surprised that people wear helmets, regardless of if you do. It seems easy enough for falls to happen, at which point someone could easily hit their head. It surprises me because it just happened all of a sudden. From when I started at age 5 to when I left instructing at 22, barely any helmets at all, then BOOM. EVERYONE has one on, even on tiny little midwestern hills.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 8, 2014 -> 09:31 AM) My expectations have been dropped a lot. Unfortunately. But lets go Hawks!!! So it WAS a little early to call them national title caliber? -
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 06:43 PM) You'd totally be the guy that doesn't wear a cage or visor playing men's league. No way. I always wear a cage. There's a difference in the chance of getting hit in the face playing hockey vs skill in not falling skiing. I've been doing it at a high level for 20 plus years. Never hit my head.
-
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 05:58 PM) Can't you take a tumble and fall on your head? Why wouldn't you wear a helmet if you aren't a pro? Unless I'm hiking Ob with a decent threat of avalanche I wouldn't wear one. Never have never will.

Wow, what a bumpity bump bump

QUOTE (ptatc @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 02:15 PM) No doubt about it. I worked as a ski patrol for a little after college. Where the knee injuries happen is when you hit the edge and instead of keeping the knees in, one goes out. Ug, that sounds bad. When you worked, did you see a lot of head injuries? 80% of people skiing now have helmets on for some reason, even if they are no where near trees. Its so weird to me.
-
QUOTE (ptatc @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 01:18 PM) If you do it correctly. Poor form and the knees will go. Right before I moved into my current occupation I was training quite a bit to be a ski instructor after spending a lot of my life skiing out west. The WORST injury I had skiing moguls was if you get a bit too much air coming off of a turn and jam a straight leg into the side of the next bump instead of where I was trying to land. Boom, jam your hip so bad it was hard to sit on a toilet.

Every night I've been making juice for the next day and so far so good. Experimenting with different flavors and additives and I definitely can tell that I am getting more natural nutrition. Only downside is HUGE GIGANTIC farts.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 09:36 AM) There is no way you are not getting new knees and hips at age 50 from that although it looks pretty cool. Hips+Lower back. Knees arent as stressed surprisingly.

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 09:35 AM) Don't worry. It's only one of, if not the, highest rated comedies on TV. We're not alone. They OWN the 50+ TV market.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 09:29 AM) This morning when I went to the gym my phone said -5 degrees outside. All I thought was "That's not too bad, it could be worse". That's how f***ing cold this winter has been. HAHAHAHAHA. Last night I only went to grab more wood once from the garage, we said the same thing, its not THAT cold.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 5, 2014 -> 08:32 PM) Hodson's and LoDo's were both absolutely delicious. Denver on Super Bowl Weekend was the best trip ever. 3 weeks til Phoenix Denver is pretty awesome nowadays.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 09:33 AM) So the wife and I are going to San Antonio next month. She's got a conference so I get to bum around for a few days and wait for her to be done. Anyone been down there before and have any idea of what to do? I was thinking of some golf if there's anything close by that I can take a cab or shuttle to. I was down there years ago with my parents but I was like 12. So I saw some of the sights and did the riverwalk thing, but didn't really see anything else down there. I played TPC San Antonio, its located at the JW Marriott where i was staying. Awesome course and the BEST club rental experience I have ever had. Great course, good food.

QUOTE (MEANS @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 07:44 AM) that could just be THE dumbest show on television Its legitimately made for my parents.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 08:44 AM) Mogul skiing looks brutal. People always say, whoa that must hurt your knees. Actually its your hips, you have to have really strong glutes.

QUOTE (Jake @ Feb 6, 2014 -> 04:36 PM) I've also heard that these things dogs are no longer fit for living among humans, that they've generally been wild for so many generations that they can only fathomably exist in the form they do now -- in cities, with relatively non-hostile humans, eating human waste. They would harm other ecosystems and they'd be too volatile to live with people. They are wild dogs, you know, before dogs were domesticated. Ran into some of those in mexico, mean little f***ers.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 6, 2014 -> 03:30 PM) Henrik Sedin is out with injury for Sweden. No word yet on whether Daniel will be emotionally stable enough to play without him. Steven Stamkos wasn't cleared to play, Martin St. Louis replaces him for Canada, good for him, very deserving. Anybody know if Eddie O & Doc Emerick are announcing the US games or the medal round? Daniel will just be aimlessly skating in circles.
