QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 2, 2011 -> 12:45 PM) But you have to admit too, Soxtalk is the last place anything involving Cowley could be judged fairly. Where exactly could a hack like Cowley be judged fairly? A school for the deaf and blind?

Later Shelly, dont let the door hit you in your lying ass. Next up, kahlua

QUOTE (Baron @ Sep 2, 2011 -> 12:04 PM) Im pretty sure were all siding with Spiegel. As for Oney....go away with your Dad. He's Cowley's source for most information. Of course he sides with him.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Sep 2, 2011 -> 12:34 PM) Yeah Briggs can go f*** himself, he has 3 more years and we have no reason to give him more money. After 2 more years if he still playing at an elite level I give him an extension. Yeah, he can demand whatever he wants, he will still have to play. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 2, 2011 -> 10:18 AM) 40 lbs off? And how the heck do you know that??? I've spent some nights in county. Most recently Paw Paw. Oh and it was for the same thing that Buff was booked for. 1 mph on a pontoon boat on a lake. Final determination was an OWI with 3 months suspension of my boating license. I dont expect him to get any worse.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 2, 2011 -> 09:43 AM) ? I'm assuming you can you any media player with this. It said there was a dedicated app to use the hardware, just wondering what it is. If everything that came out used a micro usb that would be a start.

In the EIU game, one of the best catches you'll see all year. -

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Sep 1, 2011 -> 07:22 PM) Well this Wisconsin game looks like it could be very 1 sided and boring. Huge difference in size and talent. I ran into some unlv fans on state st and they said they just wanted to score double digits -

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 02:10 PM) Meanwhile, Georgia Tech gets harsher penalties than anyone for not even having their players do anything illegal in the long run. Oh well, we all know the NCAA is an absolute joke. 3 players from OSU were suspended today for taking home a gift bag from a breast cancer awareness event containing a mouse pad, tshirt and other small items that were given to all attendees. -

Yeah, I didnt find anything, maybe they had restrictions on thursdays, I know the locals were concerned about the noise (not sure why they live there then). I went to dinner last night at the Great Dane, what a f***ing awesome place. Madison is unbelievably cool, I forget about it from time to time. -

Why is it Miami/OSU? There were no recruiting violations at OSU, so not sure why you are lumping them together there. Miami actually had recruits at those events etc. Did the 26 players that were found to be getting extra benefits at Wisconsin gain a recruiting advantage because it was clear players took money? I would say recruiting advantages happen in conjunction with coach contact outside of the rules instead of actual cash exchanging hands with current players. Second, the players DO get paid outside of room board etc, they get a stipend although its very small. And they get this as well as other benefits all the way down to the non-BCS schools. And I just got back from Madison, where in the hell is the tailgating there? I walked all around Camp Randall this morning and couldnt find anything. Is it all off campus somewhere? -
I like the kid that AZ signed this year to outperform strasburg over their career. I really buy into the philosophy he and guys like the freak have for mechanics and strength training.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 30, 2011 -> 04:24 PM) How is the Jeep treating you, Rock? Still loving it? I haven't bought anything yet as I am buying a home and need to get that finished up first. Still looking though...thinking maybe a Honda Crosstour now... Yeah, its great. Has really paid off in road tripping etc, and the adaptive cruise is a godsend. I had an SRT-8 on order but cancelled it in favor of buying my Ducati, havent regretted that at all.

Wow, can Posey, Adams and Herron go back and say they just took money instead of selling their own items? 1 games suspensions would have been nice. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 30, 2011 -> 03:41 PM) Arm slot isn't the issue. Its the stress on the elbow as it snaps violently after the slider. I believe Stras's problem is the high elbow, the upside down W

Strasburg has awful mechanics, its was predicted before he threw an inning of major league ball that he was going to have TJ.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 30, 2011 -> 03:25 PM) And this year who is rescuing the Sox team during injuries and bad years? Their farm system. Due to organization failure it could be too little too late. We knew Viciedo could outproduce Dunn and Rios months ago.
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 30, 2011 -> 03:12 PM) What about this year though? That's then, this is now. They had some injuries and had absolutely nobody they could bring up to help them at all. Well then Gardy sucks. There you go.
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 30, 2011 -> 02:49 PM) Who have done what in the majors to help their awful team this season? yes they are bad this season, but I think 6 division titles in the last decade speaks volumes more than their injury-filled failure this year. They get more out of less talent then we do year after year.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 30, 2011 -> 02:25 PM) Seriously...what does their player development record look like the past 2-3 years? #10 farm system with 5 top 100 players.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 30, 2011 -> 02:14 PM) That has gone 180 in the last couple of seasons. It wont last long. The twins org is much better at player development than the teams in our division, they will come up with something. With that said, alot of their advantage went bye bye when they moved outside.
-
QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 30, 2011 -> 01:55 PM) The terrible in game manager thing puzzles me. Every manager in baseball is a terrible in-game manager because there are so many decisions you can second guess. This year, Gardy is a bum. Is he a terrible manager? Our new manager is gonna get roasted on here next year as well. Batting Rios fourth is his fight with KW continuing. That is obvious. They both are gonna be shown the door. I'd love to see everybody's opinion on here. I wonder how many still like Ozzie. In a poll I would say. Keep Ozzie?- Yes. Keep KW - No. Gardy and the Twins org routinely get the most out of less talented players every year. We seem to actually get less out of more talent routinely. With the lineup KW assembled at the beginning of the season would you have predicted we would be below average offensively?
