  1. Rios looks to have kept his modified stance from last season and made good contact already.
  2. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 02:23 PM) sure and lets let Toby Hall play 1st base too. WTF? That is relevant to the discussion how?
  3. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 02:15 PM) seriously Juan, trying to steal 3rd with no outs, Dunn at bat and Konerko on deck in the first inning, of the first spring training game? Exactly, it's spring training. Who cares.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 08:29 AM) It's going to be so weird not having this opportunity with any future offspring. Some of my favorite moments as a kid were when Dad would take me to the video store and I'd be looking through the NES / Super Nintendo titles and then "discovering" old comedies... all with the smell of popcorn in the background. Blockbuster (and other local establishments like Video Outlet, etc) were a staple of my youth, and they are all but extinct now. Going to the movie store is just plain fun IMO. People are going to watch old movies where they go to video stores and wonder what the hell these people are doing. I guess I am going down the path of the Roku box (since Boxee failed me) and getting netflix, Hulu plus and Amazon.
  5. I would have banged Portman even 5 months prego
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 10:07 AM) Regardless of the reasoning, I'll take the guy with the .381 OBP hitting 3rd vs the guy with the .331 OBP. Ozzie, without question, is making the right call here. Yup
  7. QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 27, 2011 -> 03:58 AM) I have a Blockbuster mail account. They are very quick with the turnaround and have a ton of Blu Ray titles. They also are putting the Redbox type machines around town now. I really will miss the experience of walking into the movie store though. It's dog friendly and was a good pit stop on a night time dog walk.
  8. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Feb 26, 2011 -> 03:37 PM) You won't be disappointed especially if you have a 360 or something else like that to stream Netflix with. I wasn't impressed with the Netflix streaming, there were zero new releases. I am thinking about going with the Roku and Amazon prime.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 26, 2011 -> 03:12 PM) Shouldn't Ozzie also at this point? I was referring to the skeletons in his closet. Both of them should stfu, but Bobby was given a lot of rope by the Sox staff.
  10. Well, my f***ing blockbuster is shutting down. Guess im going to have to invest in some new technology.
  11. Not that impressed with SDSU, I'll be giving them an early exit in my bracket.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 25, 2011 -> 12:28 PM) Link Mac updates are free though.
  13. QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 09:33 PM) How'd you do that? A few years back they ruled a certain brand of laser was inaccurate and it just so happened I got busted once by that particular brand and then the second time the cop didnt know what brand he used so they threw it out again.
  14. Watching Deng's last shot again, and I'm fairly sure we wouldve gotten the board, Boozer had inside position and Noah was taking the long rebound. And that block for an and-1 against Rose still angers me this morning.
  15. DRose is downright Jordan-esque at the end of games.
  16. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 04:08 PM) If you have to go to court to prove your insurance you may as well fight the ticket. In most counties if the police officer does not show up, the ticket is dismissed for want of prosecution. Basically a ticket is hearsay evidence and without the officer the prosecution has no foundation to introduce the evidence. Without the evidence of the ticket they have no case. Some counties will continue the case to see if the officer will show up at the next hearing. The only ticket that is unbeatable is red light ticket. Most likely if you talk with the prosecutor they can work out a deal where it doesnt go on your driving record (non-moving violation) if you just want to pay them. Good luck. The red light ticket is incredibly concrete and most likely you're wrong if you think you didn't run it. I got a ticket in the mail and was adamant about my innocence until i saw the video and sure enough there's my car with me driving it running a red light. Hilarious
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 03:46 PM) If this were MLB or NFL I'd agree. Not the NBA. I said 50/50. Before the Anthony trade, we were unquestionably better. Now? It's a toss-up. That makes no sense. You are just counting 2 players vs 1 as the measuring stick without taking into account the rest of the team and also the style of play of the players.
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 03:37 PM) My point is that Asik and Taj are roleplayers. Yes, roleplayers mean something and you need them to win. But they're worth the risk in acquiring a potential star. The Bulls are not going to beat Miami or Boston. And NY would be a 50/50 bet at this point since they have two superstars vs our one. You've got to get creative and think outside the box. You don't judge a team by the number of "superstars". Collectively the Bulls are much better than the Knicks and can play with both Boston and Miami. In a 7 game series i still think Miami gives them the most trouble.
  19. Wait i just saw you are coming in April, prob not a lot of street festa then. Anyone who comes to Chicago in th summer needs to go to at least one street fest. It's really where you see the differences in the neighborhoods.
  20. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 01:10 PM) Millennium Park Hancock Observatory Navy Pier Art Museum For some people that's a good time, not sure if Hi8 likes those things or not. I'd add walking down the river, finding a street fest that weekend and partaking, and if you want boozing suggestions, i got em. I think everyone needs to experience some chicago blues while they are here.
  21. I'm extremely surprised he is cranking it up and spinning breaking balls this soon.
